I caught shredder during the night in the top left of the location. I was just above the garbage patch, and after i casted and let my line sit for a second, the parrot friend said "patience…" and within seconds a fish began nibbling on my line from out of sight, this fish turned out to be Shredder. I did not use any bait or even have a luck boost activated, despite previously trying with the help of both- to no success.
