We bought this game and can't even get to load. When we click on app support it takes us to a blank web page. Please fix this.
Would have been a good fame but it's unplayable. After numerous lockups and crashes, we gave up. Don't waste your money.
Loved it! Three chapters, three games in one. Good story, a little tricky. One problem where we didn't get the whit board in order and then couldn't. Start over. But that was the only problem. Great value.
We made it through the first two scenes (the cemetery and the mental hospital) and was really enjoying this as an old school point and click adventure game. Well, probably over-narrated, and character movement and scene transition take a while, but we still had fun and thought we got our money's worth. Then, in a cut scene at the sheriff's office during the third act, the game repeatedly froze. No possible workaround, no way to load from an earlier point, just had to start over. We're not. BTW, this happened before and after the install of iOS 8.1.1. 2/5 because it was entertaining for a while…. Ed: just realized Pedestal Beck describes the exact same bug in his write up. However, looks like he will give you another chance.
Hours of fun. Would have been better without the occasional crashes.
We just download it because our friend told us its a good game but it doesnt work on our phone we dont know why. We have an iphone 4, what could be the problem & how can we fix it ? Please help us, thank you.
Nice adventure game, not a seek &find (hoorah!). Good storyline and a sequel to the game about the Templars, but you don't have to play the first game to get into this one, although we recommend that one as well. Both games are well worth the money, and lasts longer than a Starbucks fancy coffee! The hint system is great and easy to use. You can also save your game at various times.this is good when doing something dangerous where you can get killed. If you get killed the game will let you try the activity again, but we liked to save it up to the critical moment so we don't have to repeat one or two tasks. This is not a shooter game, you only get killed if you do something dumb at one or two places in the game.
Great graphics, fun puzzles – perfect balance of fun yet challenging – super creative.
Really would love to get our money's worth for this and Part 2, but with iOS 7, all we get is a white screen.
One of the best point and click adventures of the post LucasArts era. The puzzles are tough, graphics are great, nice voice overs…everything well done. For some reason these Bulkypix/Pendulo collabs are always a little buggy, otherwise we'd give it 5 stars. We also wish you didn't get nagged to sign up for the mailing list repeatedly. Well worth $5 if you are a fan of this type of game.

Running app on an iPad Air with iOS 7.0.4 getting repeated crashes and instances where the inventory and other icons disappear. Restarting app brings the icons back, at least until they disappear again. The game is interesting enough that we're continuing to play through these annoyances, but theses problems need to be fixed.
It starting to crash a lot in the third chapter.
This is the 2nd Runaway game we bought that freezes! Please fix ASAP.
The graphics are great, the story line is solid, the adventure is challenging, but these bugs – even after the update on 5/13 – are driving us nuts. The part where we are trying to guess Chapman's nickname with the Sheriff is on a continual loop and won't let us get back to Gina. We found the locket, but the shrink keeps guessing the wrong name. Then the the thing crashes. We have a iPad 2, fully updated with the latest firmware. Help us finish this game.
Does not work. Downloaded twice. Restarted iPad which is compatible. Just a white screen as others report. Don't get ripped off.
The inventory items only appear in certain scenes? We can't advance because the items we need to use are not there! We want a refund.
Freezes every couple of minutes and needs to be restarted. Inventory bar frequently disappears as well. Didn't hold out much hope for this one as the first game (road adventure) was boring and tedious, but we had already purchased this one when it was on sale. Doesn't hold a candle to better point and click games like monkey island, beneath a steel sky and broken sword 1&2.
We really wanted to buy this whole series since it's on sale and looks good, but we're not going to buy a single other part of it since we can't even TRY this one! FIX IT!!! And we're using an iPhone 5, so it's completely compatible. We even restarted our phone, but no go! Don't be a crook, FIX IT.
We love the graphics, story line and puzzles but we too am frozen in the third chapter. If we try and combine anything in the shed we get booted. We were enjoying the game so much we would have given 5 stars if we could finish it… Please fix this bug we had a couple snags in the first chapter too where our inventory would disappear but that would come back after closing the app.
We updated to iOS7 and all the games from this developer now just load to a white screen. How can they not fix their product and still sell it? We are not the only one that has reported this, so DON'T BUY UNTIL IT IS FIXED.
It freezes in chapter 5. We've closed the app and turned our ipad off/on and it still won't work. No matter how great the game is, it's not even worth it if it doesn't work.
How many months advance notice does Apple give developers to get their apps ready? MANY!! Yet in that time they were able to make a completely new game, and neglect this one. Sad.

We are NOT happy. We were halfway through and then upgraded to iOS 7. This game like other BulkyPix games we paid for do not work with iOS 7!!! BulkyPix should warn users that certain games will not work on iPads with ios7.
This game is great like all their others, but it froze in the third chapter for us and has been that way for hours (all bulkypix/pendulo games we've played have frozen or shutdown randomly, but not to this extent) – we've completely shut down the app and tried turning our ipad on and off numerous times. All other apps are working fine. Have to give it one star for that. Such a shame (not to mention a ripoff) will be emailing for our money back.
We are disgusted!! We bought Runaway: A road adventure and it froze and wouldn't go any further after the second scene. We were so disappointed bcuz it was fun and we paid for it! So we wrote to apple and as we are awaiting a reply we decide to buy Runaway: Atwist of fate part 1…optimistically believing it wouldn't happen in 2 different games. Well, it did. So now we're out 2 games that we paid for and know the fun we're missing out on as we'll. Not happy!!! We have an iPad mini and it meets the requirements and we also did updates to try to solve the problems. Don't waste your money and deal with frustration and disappointment.
Pendulo studios makes amazing adventure games even better on iOS. We want a sequel to yesterday but until then we, content playing games like this and Hollywood monsters. Either way MORE GAMES please, you guys are great.
This is a must buy! We played DS version and the mobile version is just as fresh and funny. The dialogue has some wickedly funny humor. We love this is aimed for adult level. Please convert all the runaway series to the IOS platform! We will buy them and you should too.

Fabulous adventure game! Built like a traditional point and click PC adventure game. Graphics are wonderful, fun story line, great cut scenes. Our only gripe…too short! Would have loved playing for a few more hours. Now, off to download part 2.

We beat the game and it said "to be continued" and showed shots of chapters that are on the progress list! Whats up with that.
We stink at these types of games. It is very engaging but the clues never really help. Still, definitely worth the price.
Good game like others this company has made. However there is a bug that needs to be fixed. You lose your inventory ever so often and you have to close the app and the reopen it. Please fix. Inventory problem appears to resolve itself in chapter two.

We love adventure games and this one is part of a great series. If you like point and click adventures this is a game for you. Pros Fun storyline good humor There is a fun and innovative help system Cons Some parts a bug happens and you can't see your inventory but this is remidied by walking to a new section and it comes back but it is an annoyance Sometimes the game closes for no reason (fortunately the game has an auto save so we have yet to have to start over) Overall a great game only due to technical flaws do we give it 4 stars fortunately they don't make the game unplayable and maybe we're being generous but we have a soft spot for adventure games.

Please fix this game. We enjoyed the few minutes that got to play before it crashed on us. Froze up and we had to delete it and reinstall it.
We played Pendulo studios other game "Yesterday" and was incredibly impressed! Smooth gameplay, awesome story, great graphics! Which made this game such a disappointment, it was so incredibly buggy and glitchy the whole time! We don't feel like we were engaged in the game at all, five minutes in we were already bored and wanted to stop playing. We wouldn't pay 5 dollars for a sequel, we regret paying 5 for this game. We hope some updates fix the bugs in this game, and the next few chapters make it more engaging for the player. Go play Yesterday in the meantime.
Crashes. Inventory disappears. Character gets stuck. Not worth the money til issues get fixed.
The game spontaneously crashes frequently. Inventory items disappear. Sound completely goes out – even with multiple restarts of the game and our iPad. The amount and frequency of bugs remove any fun to be had with this game, and there are no app updates to address any of these issues. We should have heeded other reviewers' warning. You should too – don't buy this app.
It's not like we still are all with the 1st generation ipad, but there Is yet no way to request a refund for an app or game that malfunctions, and whose maker will not fix. Even after all these years of having an App Store there is no recourse for consumers. All you can do is to refuse to buy from Bulkypix, or any others, that put out this kind of shabby s–t.
