Flipflop Solitaire+ is a Card game from STFJ LLC, first launched in 2nd April 2021.
It’s rated 4+ and currently has 133+ ratings on the App Store.

What Makes Flipflop Solitaire+ Stand Out

From the creator of Sage Solitaire, comes a new Solitaire variant that breaks all the rules!

100% of deals are solvable!

Like its footwear namesake — Flipflop Solitaire+ is unrestrictive, creating a new game for fans of spider, klondike and other traditional Solitaires.

In Flipflop+ you can stack down, up, or even both ways on a single stack!
Need to stack an 8 on a 7, or a club on a spade? No problem!

  • but –

Be careful, you can only move a stack of a single suit!
It's fun and freeing, but still challenging and captivating.

It's Flipflops for your brain.

——WHATS IN THE “BOX”?

  • Play Flipflop Solitaire+ from 1-5 suits!
  • Track your best times, least moves, least undos, total wins, total plays, and more
  • Over 10,000 numbered deals for 1-5 suits
  • Over a hundred achievements
  • Change up your backgrounds, card and card back color schemes
  • Natural ambient binaural background audio
  • A strong sense of relaxation

——A WORD FROM THE DEVELOPER

Flipflop Solitaire+ is sort of a sequel to Sage Solitaire in the sense that it's my second crack at the design problem of making a Solitaire game that feels like it was designed for your phone and not for a table.

To be honest this is how I wish everyone approached sequels. Usually a sequel takes the solution to a problem and duplicates it. This is why our expectations of game sequels are often more-of-the-same-but-better. I'd rather see more sequels that brought a renewed level of surprise and novelty, and I'm hoping that's what you find in Flipflop Solitaire+.

While Sage was all about trying to capture the feeling of a tight, easy to play, tough to win, zen solitaire game, Flipflop+ is about knots.

In a typical Solitaire game, like Klondike, you're taking a knot of cards and untying it into sequences. Then you reverse those sequences into clean ordered stacks.

In Flipflop+ you take your knot of cards and tie it into other, hopefully better knots. Then you untie those knots into the final ordered stacks. Having so much control over the way your intermediary knots are constructed led to a lot more depth than I expected.

Community Insight:

And relaxing. Easy, yet challenging.

We love this implementation of solitaire. Knowing that every deal is solvable makes it great to play. The recent issue with colors has been solved which makes it playable again, thank goodness. Back to trying to solve all the 5 suit levels.

Great game! There are two bugs Ive run into that have annoyed us but nothing severe enough to make us stop playing: 1. If you do too much tapping on random stacks of cards or use too many fingers at once, the game will suddenly stop registering a movable stack as movable, so no amount of tapping or dragging or anything except a force quit and reopening the game will fix. 2. Tapping on cards moves them to stacks that can take them, or the top row. There are some weird king/ace bugs as far as what will stack upon a single tap, and what wont therefore forcing manual placement. Overall, nothing that is so annoying as to make us uninstall the game (unlike a word game that wouldnt recognise raccoon as an English word).

Now that the color issue is fixed, we can give this app 5 stars. Such a clever game. We spend way too much time playing it. When we couldnt play it while the colors were janky, we realized how much we missed it. Love that its playable again. Zach Gage is a treasure.

We love this game, it took us over a year to master it, and Im still enjoying it. A bug in scoring: if you accidentally click on a numbered hand you have already completed and then bounce out of that hand it counts as an unfinished hand, but theres no way to go find which hand that was later.

We love this game except for one MAJOR point of frustrationthe auto-move. Most other solitaire games will auto-move to the most beneficial pile when you click the cardthis one just seems to move to the closest option, which makes for extra moves, or; worse, having to undo a move. On top of that, theres no way to turn off this feature, so accidental clicks result in completely unintentional moves. For such a smart game, we would expect the designer to have put more care and thought into this. Its a shame, because it makes what could be a great game unnecessarily frustrating at times. Also, Ive never actually quit a game on hereever. Yet, somehow we show Ive lost seven gamesand the number keeps growing, despite never actually having quit a game. Ive restarted several hands before finally winning and then se always count as winsyet we keep seem to mysteriously increase in our number of games lostIm sure we cannot be the only one experiencing this.

Older scores are there but new, better scores dont update. It would be nice to see this fixed, for an otherwise fun game.

We really love this game but we notice if we play for a while it sometimes freezes and we have to shut it down. It also CRASHED our tablet, which was kind of scary.

We love this little solitaire game, and play it regularly. But they changed the color options in the last update, and the new color palettes make no sense! We thought first maybe it was for accessibility, even though the color options are kinda ugly, but its not. The color values are so similar that several suits look nearly identical. It makes it hard to play. Please please bring back the old colors, at least as an option.

Why was there a sudden change of all color palettes? Used to be a fun casual game but ruined by this update. All palettes have suits with very similar colors, extremely unfriendly to color-weak people. And even with normal vision it still hurts our eyes after staring for some time (like a couple games).

Not much else to say. Ive enjoyed this game for a while. Never had an issue. We dont like the new card colors. Please return the original colors.

Like many have said, this latest update changed the color scheme making it very difficult to distinguish cards in the 5 suit deals. This game is a perfect time killer and fun take on classic solitaire, but it is less enjoyable to play with these color changes.

Ive never had any glitches. Easy to learn but very challenging (we play 5-suit). Only wish is for a return to card color option that changed in the last update, the blue clubs, so all 5 suits are easy to distinguish. Thanks.

Really dont like how the update muted all the colors. We cant see them as well now. Is there any way to get back to the original colors.

We can no longer tell the difference between 2 of the suites in 5 suite games. Please bring back the old colors.

First up, this is a great game. Ive been addicted since it first landed on Apple Arcade. However, we can no longer give it five stars because the latest update (1.4.5) has messed up the card colors. All of the options look like theyre being viewed through a color blindness simulator.

Starting today, all the card face colors changed. Went into settings to try to change them and all the combinations are terrible. At least two of the card faces in each combo are the same color making it hard to play. Otherwise the game is excellent though.

The new colors of the cards after the update are absolutely horrendous. Please bring back the bright and distinctly different colors for the different suits. The browns and pastels are terribly awful. Otherwise, we love playing this game. Its challenging but not impossible.

For some reason after we updated our phone the colors of the suits are all jacked up and there are two or three suits in every color combo that are exactly the same! It makes playing harder.

This was the perfect game. Our favorite game. We found it relaxing, even meditative. That is, until the first update in two years ruined the card colors. Now we cant find a single color option that doesnt have at least two suits that look nearly identical. Why? Seriously, why? Not all change is improvement. By all means, if you love monochromatic color schemes, keep em. Keep em all. But why take away color schemes that were easy to distinguish and well, colorful? (Im holding that 5th star hostage until the colors come back.) Now that our neurotic rant is over, kudos for excellent design, both in this game & Knotwords.

Please revert the colors. They are awful now and it isnt worth playing.

Ive played this game for years and absolutely adore it. We were dismayed when we went to play it today and the card colors were changed. Its totally disorienting and we dont like any of the available colors now. Please restore the old colors.

Great version of solitaire. Thats the only reason this isnt one star. The options for card colors right now are unplayable if you play 5 suit. All of the color combinations (which you cannot manually choose, you must press a button over and over and scroll through the options that way) include AT LEAST two colors (some even have 3) that look too similar to play comfortably. All of the options seem to be semi muted or even monochromatic. Which is aesthetically nice but it tanks the playability when you cant easily see where colors are. It would be fine to play for less suits. We are baffled that we cant earn more colors or at least manually curate which colors we want to use. It shouldnt be hard.

We can no longer play the game because we cant see the 5 different suit colors anymore.

We absolutely love this game and have been playing it for over a year. However, we are deleting it due to the new colors of the cards. The new muted colors give us a headache and are harder to distinguish. So disappointed.

The most recent update changed the card color options for this game and like others have said, many of the options have two suits with nearly identical colors. Really frustrating.

Newest update ruins the playability by removing the color/contrast. We hope this is not an experiment to see if it increases sales of the paid version.

We dont know if its an issue with a new update, but all of a sudden, the color options for the different suits are changed, with nearly every color palette in muted soft colors that make it almost impossible to distinguish suits from each other. Im fine with muted colors, but every color option has at least two suits, if not three, that look essentially identical. Its like everything went sepia toned, with maybe two suits standing out at a time. This makes the game nearly unplayable.

The latest update changed the color on the cards, so that in the five card games all options have at least two suites that are difficult to tell apart. Please reverse this back to the bright, easily identifiable card colors.

When it comes to relaxing games, Zach King just knocks it out of the ball park! Flip Flop is near perfect! Our only wish is that we could replay deals Ive already played. We enjoy trying new strategies, comparing outcomes, etc.

We like it most because it is easy to learn and very hard to master all the variables. If we could suggest a change in a future upgrade Id add a stat to the finish that shows your percentage of wins without using an undo. You get total games / total wins to show a win percentage. Id also like to see total wins / total wins without an undo percentage. But, it is still a great game. Thank you.

As someone who has played a ton of solitaire games on Solborne, we love this game. We have a couple of suggestions on stats. 1. Record streaks instead of winning percentage. We accidentally started a new game and now Im uninterested in our not-100% winning percentage. Who cares about 99%? 2. Implement a streak saver that warns you when you are about to accidentally break a streak.

Despite meeting all requirements for Table Win – Two Suit it did not award the achievement. Literally unplayable.

Less is more. We have made it our goal to get every achievement and Im still working on those win 1000 games and time goals. Any tips on how to improve speed? Every game is winnable, hit undo and try different moves, it works. The hint feature is great when your mind is numb after 50 games of trying to get the least moves possible or zero undos. Lots of simple challenges has made it worthwhile. Looked up Zach on the internet and he seems like a quiet genius, thanks for your imagination.

The (?) mark help make a move button is often useless but our biggest gripe is the claim that every game is winnable which seems very far from the truth of experiencewould be curious why such a claim is made. Game is fun though.

This game has been one of our go-tos for some time. Pumped to see it now on arcade. It doesnt appear our icloud backup from the app store version syncs our progress to this version, but thats not devastating. The haptics are fun, design is whimsical and we love the inclusivity around the card color making it easier on our eyes. Quick, fun game, easy to dip in and out of, and honestly our favorite way to play solitaire.

We cant finish this particular because there is a card missing!!! We dont want to forfeit the game and have it ruin our stats, but we also cant move forward playing two suits because of this ): The game is otherwise very fun and easy to figure out. Itms a nice blend of games like solitaire and spider solitaire. Please fix this bug.

Great adaptation on the original Solitaire. What the developer doesnt show in the screenshots is the game can be played in either portrait or landscape mode on an iPad. As others have stated, there is a server glitch. The number of wins differs based on the device we use iPhone or iPad. We only have 1 iCloud account and we are signed in to that single iCloud account when we play. So, the levels, the game wins, and other achievements should be exactly the same regardless of the device.

Im obsessed with the actual game but it frequently freezes to the point of having to close the app repeatedly. We used to play it on our ipad but the game would make the ipad completely unresponsive.

We like it. We play a lot of solitaire, its all the same mechanics, but this is more visually pleasing. Maybe Im lazy but we would like it to auto complete once you have reached the solve – we find it annoying to continue tapping the obvious and would love to see how this designer animates it – we enjoy Gages aesthetic. We highly recommend KnotWords if you like this one.

We love playing this game, it challenging and well done. We like to play on our phone when we are out and about.. But we love playing on our iPad when we are at home (bigger screen). We were okay with the manual sync, until it stopped working. We can sync to the iCloud, but we can not get it to sync back into the game. We have beaten a bunch of levels and we want those games to sync to our iPad.. Alas, it freezes as it attempt to load. (Yes, we know .. We have read the warning .. But the freeze lasts forever, we let it go, even not allowing our iPad to go to sleep and plugged in overnight.. Still frozen in the AM) So please at minimum.. Fix the manual sync, and if really want happy users.. Please implement an auto-sync. THANKS.

We really enjoy this game for a quick break. The variations are all fun and we liked going through the different modes (one suite, two suites,). We play on our iPad and our iPhone but the achievements dont sync and neither does the progress through the numbered decks. Id love to be able to pick up a different device and continue where we left off, no matter which device it was. After that change its an easy 5-star recommendation.

We love this game, its a ton of fun. Our literal only complaint is that we wish it would auto sync between devices so that we can pick up where we left off on our iPad and vice versa on our iPhone.

Its a great solitaire game when it works. But, the menu screen often freezes up and you have to force close the app. An incredibly annoying bug to be in an otherwise very polished app.

This is a pretty good game, but it keeps locking up on our iPad Air. It locks the entire tablet.

Love this game but it has been lagging and its almost getting to the point where its not fun to play.

Way too much lagging. Game freezes a lot while playing and is very frustrating. Needs better icloud sync, too. You have to manually save and reload to play on a different device.

Cant tell if Im just bad, but we find ourselves 7 times out of 10 getting to the last few cards and having no moves left. Then the hint button just moves the same card back and forth over and over again then we have to restart. Usually dont have this problem with normal solitaire but it is fun and challenging.

This game is pretty good but we still think that their could be some arrangements oh well its still pretty good.

Just another reason NOT to subscribe to Apple Arcade, there is nothing special about this solitaire game. Thousands of possible games to play and no random play option. New deal and restart seems to be the same thing. WHY?! Horizontal mode is poorly designed, doesnt optimize screen space. Three decks is really four decks where one deck is doubled.
