It’s rated 4+ and currently has 84+ ratings on the App Store.

What Makes The Isle of Cats Stand Out

Rescue colourful cats to fill your boat in a new digital adaptation of the beloved board game.

Citizens of Squall’s End! Lookouts have spotted the sails of the evil Lord Vesh on the horizon! We must save the Isle of Cats before he arrives!

The Isle of Cats is a competitive board game race to save a colourful collection of cats, scoring points based on how well you settle them into your personal rescue boat.

Each cat comes on a unique tile and belongs to a family of cats of its color. You must find an arrangement to fit them in your boat, while keeping families together and managing your resources along the way. Befriend mystical Oshax, read ancient lessons, and collect treasures to propel your boat to victory!

Rescues
Once you’ve mastered the basics, level up your game with rotating Rescues! Every few days, a new Rescue will add twists on rules and objectives to add some catnip to your single-player PVE games. See how you measure up against the competition on seasonal leaderboards!

Challenges
Ten tricky challenges – each with two levels of difficulty – provide a puzzly twist to classic gameplay. What if boats are full of treasure? What if your cats are roaming freely, with no placement rules? What if they keep to themselves, and don’t like other cats? Challenges give you new ways to play and explore!

Achievements
15 achievements measure your progress on the Isle. From your first days as Skipper to your rise to Master Mariner, achievements show you how your game improves!

This Board game offers engaging gameplay and regular updates for mobile players.

Community Insight:

As others have reported, this is a mostly good, not to mention beautiful, digital version of a great board game. There are a few things that make us crazy, though: The pop-up when playing a treasure card makes it VERY hard, and sometimes impossible, to choose the common treasures you want. The overlay covers them up and you cant zoom in or out to adjust how they show up on the screen. Not being able to see how many fish we have at any given time is maddening. Keeping track of your fish is a major strategic need. Several times our cat has been locked into place when Ive pushed the rotate button. The buttons are just too close together. This is handled much better on the phone app instead of the iPad or tablet app. Fix these things and Ill come back with a 5 star review.

Really cute and fun but a little glitchy and there arent enough users yet to make use of the online play. Maybe there are in a larger city but where we are now there are never any players on. The AI games are fun though and good practice for when we go to play the real game with some friends that have it. We will say that we think its too expensive for what you get, especially since they dont have many users yet so there really is no online play.

Was very excited to get this only to find out that theres no asynchronous play online. We get the game has simultaneous moments of play but we hope its something thats added.

We would like to be able to have pass and play (local play) for 2 or more players in a standard game. The family game is boring and not needed. We dont play on line against other people, but the option is nice for those that do. Other than these two things, the app looks and plays very much like the physical board game.

Wish we could see baskets and fish when Im rescuing, but this is a great implementation of a favorite board game . Thanks.

Enjoying family mode against AI when we cant get our family to play the board game with us.

But theres no way to see how many fish you have left during gameplay. What?!? Im always using that information! Please fix this.

So glad this app exists. However, the solo scoring doesnt work. And, the number of remaining fish not being visible when saving cats is cognitively burdensome.

Currently, we believe this game has too many bugs and connection issues to be worth purchasing. Ive had multiple instances of cards getting stuck on screen, blocking gameplay. Entire games with real players are being disconnected/ended with no completion or warning. This game does not do asynchronous play. Plenty of other great games on the App Store that Id recommend before this one.
