Support, tip and tricks: http://www.orangepixel.net/

The sequel to the much acclaimed Meganoid !

  • "Game of the week" nomination Toucharcade
  • "Game of the week" nomination Pocketgamer
  • " Meganoid 2 turns up the heat and throws you in to a bare-bones series of white-knuckle platforming challenges" – Appspy
  • "Definitely a must have for any old-school gamer or a fan of the platformer." – Paranerds

Meganoid 2 continues the brutal platform gaming that all you guys loved in the first part. Again: this game is not easy! You will need to bring your best game skills to complete the short but hard levels.

Meganoid gets most of it’s inspiration from 80s and 90s games.

** THIS GAME IS NOT EASY!

Each challenging level can be completed within a few seconds of gaming, making the pace of the game pretty fast, but many levels require multiply tries to complete. New levels will be added in updates – So tell your friends to download this game now!

** GAME PLAY!

  • complete a level to earn a level star
  • complete the level within the time limit to earn the time-trophy
  • find the (hidden) treasure in evera level to earn the treasure-trophy

** GAME STYLE

Meganoid 2 comes in full 8bit retro pixelart style, complete with chiptune and sound effects, we love this style, and it fits the genre! The game is set in an adventurous environment with tombs, temples, skulls, arrows, traps, boulders, snakes and bats!

Community Insight:

Meganoid was the first mobile game that ever hooked us. So we were incredibly excited to see that it was getting a sequel. While we don't personally think it matches the original, it's definitely a great bite-sized hardcore platformer, and we're incredibly glad that OrangePixel took this game in another direction and made something so similar yet fairly different. So many sequels are just 'more of the same', but here, things have been a little streamlined while still retaining the challenge and intensity that made the original Meganoid so much fun! Each Meganoid game is similar enough that they could all be combined into one game, but different enough that they could each be considered a different 'gameplay mode', so they're all worth checking out even if you own the newest title– Meganoid 2017. Here's hoping the original gets the revived 2018 treatment as well!!! OH, THANK YOU FOR BRINGING ALL THESE CLASSIC GAMES BACK FROM THE DEAD!!!! OrangePixel is one of a handful of developers that we will insta-buy every game they (he- yeah, one man team-how crazy is that?!?!) put out that winds up in the AppStore. <3 ORANGEPIXEL.

It crashes every now and then and the status bar on the iPhone is showing over the game :/.

If you like super meat boy or meat boy you will like this game we would give it five stars but all of a sudden it crashes whenever we start the game please fix.

Need orientation unlocked and we'd like to move the pause button.

Try and die, try and die, try and die. This game is super frustrating and frequently punishes you for not knowing what's around the corner. Rarely fun. The idols are also hidden in ways that force you to die more to ever find them.

At first we were not as impressed by this sequel as we were with the first one, but it grew on us. More great side scrolling action, plus the addition of the treasure in each level means higher replay value. The additional water levels are cool, too. Highly recommended.

Been waiting so long for this. And it's great.

Trial and die done right! Adjustable button placement for us players on big devices (iPad) and a fun game to boot.

Handles touchscreen better than most platformers. We think the short stages and simple controls are perfect for touch controls. We're really having a good time with it and usually hate platforming games on touch devices. If you're on the fence, get it.

First off we're using a 3rd gen iPad so we have the retina display. The graphics and art are clear and appealing. Really like how it looks. The controls are nice and easy. Everything feels really snappy and it's a pleasant control experience. The interface matches the graphics well so overall the game feels polished. The one thing that annoys us, and it's a big one, is that the way the secret gold object is hidden in every level. It shouts to be a puzzle style game with action blended right into it. You work to feign traps and falling rocks, which is fun, but to feel like you really complete the level you have to find the gold object. It's in a lot of levels it's simply hidden through invisible walls where you're forced to make repeated suicide attempts to try and find it. The concept is there but the execution for a solid action puzzler sidescroller falls short.
