A Glimpse into Alice in Demonland

YOU make the choices for Alice the half demon in this twist on the Alice in Wonderland tale. You have found a full-length novel in the form of a text adventure with action, romance, an alternative universe to explore, and tons of demons to slay, of course!

Delight Games has teamed up with author RaShelle Workman to create a game version of her full-length novel "Alice in DemonLand: An Alice in Wonderland Reimagining". As you read the story, you make choices for the main character (Alice). Can you survive to the end? Can you get the high score for each part? Can you unlock the nearly 70+ achievements such as the "Quick Thinker" and "Whiner" achievement?

Comedy, romance, adventure–it’s all here!

Reading made addictive!

Note: Currently, this is just volume 1 of Alice’s story. What’s up here now is a complete novel and RaShelle will be writing more. We plan to "gamify" this content and ship it as an update.

Engaging story with interesting choices. We enjoyed reading and playing.

We just finished Alice in Demonland and we loved it!

Thats incorrect. Delight games has brilliant design and if there is an achievement it is absolutely possible to get it. However, one of the things which makes these stories challenging (but also more fun) is that every choice you make has weight and some have more than you think, to the point where a decision which is innocuous and seemingly inconsequential can have a major impact on your score and could be the deciding factor for one or several achievements. If there are achievements you havent been able to acquire, it is far more likely that you have overlooked one of these choices than that there is a bug in the game. You can experiment yourself, or if you dont want to risk losing the hundred point no death score bonus you can look for a guide.

This game is so much fun, so interesting, and very well written! We thoroughly enjoy playing it and immersing myself in the re-imagined world of Alice in Wonderland! Our one and only problem is the requirement of spending 20 coins to move to the next part. We hardly have any to begin with, so that means we have to spend a lot of time watching ads to earn them. But other than that, its a lot of fun, and Im always really excited to play!

None of the choices really matter, and the story is just an incomplete YA novel. Alice feels like a borderline Mary Sue at times, where all of the other hunters are practically useless in comparison to her. Heck, they even become literal damsels in distress for her to save halfway through the novel. Its a shame that the storytelling was executed so poorly, since the premise was so interesting.

We like all the interactive novels youve made but this ones kinda original and cool.

We are not a fan of reading but interactive stories like these got us hooked! We love delighted interactive stories!!!

We really loved this game, and we cant wait for the next part to come out! However, we did have a little bit of trouble with the achievements, i.e. Some we couldnt get even after we did was required to get them. It didnt affect the story though so it did not bother us too much. We do think it is something that should be known and adjusted. Other than that, the game was fantastic with a really great concept and story.

You read the book, get to the end wheres the next part?

The story is great, dont get us wrong. We loved it. But literally an end without telling you anything about the future of the story. They quite literally ended it mid story without telling you if therell be another book. Provide more info and Ill rate 5 stars.

So far it’s great and we really like it, but you have to pay to continue! We have played this this out every single way we can to earn every single coin we can and yet we cannot get enough coins to move on! We’re stuck at 26 coins and we need 28! What is the deal? Why not give the option to watch an ad to earn more coins for those of us who don’t have money lying around to spend on games? Also, would be great to be able to separate achievements completed and those that aren’t. Even 1 coin (more if you’re feeling generous) per ad watched and limit it to like 5 ads/coins per day so that way at least it’ll encourage those who are seriously invested to spend a little money. We’re ready to delete the game because we can’t continue.

Spoiler Alert: Its Alice in Wonderland (Arizona)meets the Underworld film series. Theyre all these references to the kiddie book while the same time being graphic and mature. The story was nice. Interactive fiction is becoming our new favorite genre.
