Cats are Liquid – A Light in the Shadows is a 2D platformer about a cat with the ability to transform into liquid.
The game has 90 levels, that are spread across 9 different worlds. It has a minimalistic but colorful style. Along the way the game introduces new mechanics, like flying and summoning bombs to break down walls.
The story is about a cat whose owner locked her in a set of rooms. She desperately wants to get out, but the rooms just keep continuing. Along the way the cat meets a new "friend" and gains new abilities. The story is told through small in game text pieces.

When we first played the game we wasnt expecting much and we git kinda annoyed on some levels but at the last level that ending we did not expect it and the companion was the same the reset was meh but this was a amazing game.
We FUNNING LOVE THIS GAME PLEASE MAKE A THIRD ONE.
We love this game it is our favorite we re download it again but we cant seem to hear it for some reason we dont know what is wrong we tried the settings but nothing if someone can help us find out what is wrong that would be great.
ALitS is a game that has stuck with us for years. Its incredible gameplay and story stay with the player, and has really interested us. One thing we would add is maybe more info on the purple one? The story is kind of confusing, so maybe more levels?(Totally the only reason we want more levels) Other than small details, the game is absolutely amazing and one of our favorite games.
Please make more games like this there were several moments where we wanted to cry in this game and we loved it we hope to see some more games like this in the future.

We love this game. Its kinda sad especially at the end when it has messages (spoilers for pretty much the entire paragraph) about how it was the cat who locked herself in the closet the whole time. And her claustrophobia. Overall its a pretty cool game. You gotta use strategies to help you get through stages. This game doesnt explain the story very clearly, so ill just make up our own. We think the cat locked herself in the closet on purpose because she was sad about her owner dying so she died ig. But it could also be that her owner died and then she got passed to an abusive owner and then locked herself maybe? Because the game says that it feels much better staying in there at the end. Im not sure. There are videos out there explaining the lore behind it but we havent watched it yet sadly. It also really surprised us when the cat touched the white wall that teleports you to the next stage instead it fell at the last level. That was a cool plot twist, so was the fact that she locked herself in and not her owner. Btw im talking about these things all from standard mode, we havent played the others yet. But id rate this a 5/5. Very good and sad game. Btw cute cat.

It is worse then cats are liquid abp but it is still great. We have noticed tons of glitches though but it is fun to break.
This game is amazing, theres challenges and emotions. We loved the little gray square with all our heart. The ending nearly had us in tears. You all did amazing.
It was too sad that Lumi died in the end, let alone her not knowing we still loved the game, we still play it we love the audio, the gameplay, and a great prequel to ABP, yeah we know, we do know, that this game is meant to be second, and we do know that Lumi dies in the end, imma nerd, anyway great game.
Haha we’ve played this game over 7 times and beaten it!! Every once in a while we just keep coming back to play through it once more. We love this game so much and couldnt imagine a game as adorable as this one.
Game is amazing, simple to play and not too hard. As you progress(spoilers) you get more abilities. It starts getting sadder and sadder. The end is really sad and confusing. You unlock more things to play when you finish, so you dont just have to replay it over and over Great game to play when your bored the story will last you about a week at maximum, though we only took a couple days to finish. Gonna go play the second one now.
We LOOOVE this game. Our friend Adam and we downloaded the first and second one and we raced to finish both. Great game but the endings for both are kind of depressing. We WOULD LOVE a third game where the cat decides to finally leave and go home to her friends and owner. The game would be the cat going through new worlds and getting new powers in order to get to the big doorway home that she pushed away in this game. Its a great game number one and two. But we would love to see a third game (the same style) that has a happy ending.
It has such a great story line and really cute deep. You can tell the devs put work into the game. You arent even bombarded by ads! Ignore all of the bad reviews they are literally all just people who arent very good at games and couldnt get past level 1 (which btw the game isnt very hard)
This game is amazing it starts lighthearted and fun, but you slowly start to understand the plot. The story keeps you interested and entertained with plot twists and turns. Overall we highly recommend this game and we are so glad we found it a few years back.

The end was sad, but we like it.
1 Hold the down arrow while jumping you go really fast and a longer distance 2 to get over hard gaps you should use the float ability to get over it if you have the ability yet.
Only thing we don’t get is the story but hoping a better place will explain it :))
Honestly, we beat this game years ago, and its still a fun thing to kill time!
When we first saw this game we thought it would have been with a cost for the full game, but to our surprise it was completely free! When we saw realized that there was a story we were intrigued and we were right to be so, dont want to spoil but its worth it. This is a beautiful game with graphics being very cute and fun ! We always come back to this game because its amazing and we believe you guys should continue making games (even though you all already made a part 2) and Im glad that the cat seems very happy with friends, although we dont know yet we havent finished A Better Place yet but we still love the design in that one too. Hope you all continue well.

This game is absolutely wonderful. We hardly ever review any games, let alone mobile ones – but this game deserves the praise. We adore this platformer so much, the levels are so unique and pretty to look at it, the color design is to die for. On appearance alone, this game deserves 4/5 stars. However, when you counter in the story? 5+/5 stars. The story was the thing we were the most surprised and delighted about. Its astonishing how enraptured we became with this cat platform game – but truthfully the story is so much than youd (obviously) expect from a game like this. We would ultimately recommend this game to absolutely anyone who is into platformers and also good written stories.
Holy fajita, this game was absolutely impeccable! When we first started the game, we really liked it, and it made us super happy! We mean, youre a cat that can become liquid! Adorable! As we unlocked new abilities, it got more and more fun. However (spoilers), we started to feel sad for the cat. She kept saying how she felt claustrophobic in the room. It genially made us sad that she had to endure these conditions. We felt sorry for a virtual glowing cat. Thats how powerful this game was. Once we got to like, the seventh world, we knew that we would have to finish the rest in one play through. We HAD to know how the story ended. This game actually made us so incredibly emotional, we had to pause it at times and just stare at the wall, sad. The final level was so emotional, we barely even noticed what was happening around us. And we played this incredible game f o r f r e e . We didnt have to pay ANY MONEY. There was only one ad after the last level of each world. You werent spammed with ads after each level! We cant believe how well done this game was! And we havent even completed everything yet! Once you beat the main story line, you unlock two new modes that are COMPLETELY different! We absolutely adored this game, and we would recommend it to anyone with basic platforms skills. If you cry easily, be ready to weep!
A fun game thats non-repetitive with a storyline ingrained into it. Play mindlessly, or read the words for an interesting backstory, Im only on world 3 and Im HOOKED Post script: we finished the game, SO SAD!!!
Fantastic levels! We also like that there is lore in the game too. It just adds atmosphere to the game rather than a cat going through torture chambers for no reason. Overall good game.
We absolutely love this game its really fun to play just to pass the time. It has tons of different labels you can play that all tell an amazing story. The cat gains powers and the game is overall really fun. We would 10/10 recommend it everyone, though it can be a little harsh in world 9. Otherwise this game is amazing, we cannot stop playing it. So Im on world 9 so far. We are having trouble with climbing but overalll this is such a awesome game and this deserves 999999999 stars and also we digged a grave in our backyard for the grey square and had a full out funeral we also cried.

Okay so our friend convinced us to play this game. And we tried it thinking it just be a boring game that you just escape obstacles and stuff but it was really good! And the story is amazing!! We feel like we can relate to the cat dealing with anxiety and this game really got to us. We remember one time we were playing the end scene and LITERALLY (and we mean LITERALLY.) almost started crying thats how powerful this game is to us! This is one of our favorite games. The story is interesting, the ending is a shocker, and the actual gameplay is very good. 10/10 five stars.
Okay, first of all, we love this game. One problem we need more levels, because we finished it in two days. And by the way the ending gave us a heart attack, we were so sad for the cat. But it was an overall good game.
Hi! You guyss game is really cool, and it has an amazing storyline and plot, and the gameplay itself is smooth, and doesnt lag like tomorrow isnt gonna come, which is a blessing for us. The only issue we have is Level 1s Room 8. Whenever we try to jump on there, too many spikes pop up and we cant get up without wasting all our lives. Maybe you guys could change the room a little?
It is a good game but more difficult than a better place.
