There are people have played chaos ring series Not played it yet and also you should bring out across age dx and part 2 and nova games.
It has its flaws. Youll notice almost immediately that they originally designed it (poorly) to be a gacha game and later realized it didnt really work that way. But its a fun ride with a cool story and interesting strategy and in our opinion gorgeous world and interesting characters. Basically NIKKE without the money grab and progress gating.
Please allow backbone controller support for this game. One of our favorite games, played all of them in the past and just purchased Chaos rings III again on iphone 15 pro max.

This is by far the best rpg on iOS Ive ever played. We keep coming back to this we wish there were more like it. Id pay for more games like this. Im 30 and have been trying to get a non boring rpg and this is it! Five s wish theyd add more chapters though.

We just started a replay of this game after so long and man Im just really enjoying it. Even though the screen size and resolution does not benefit our iPhone 11 Pro max and the frame rate gives us eyesore, we still love this game as much as we remember loving it the first time. Total nostalgic feelings for old JRPG games like Final Fantasy X, Dragon Quest VIII and Kingdom Hearts. Really wish they made more like this Id love to see a sequel.
Ive been playing this game for awhile now, and theres a lot of quality put into a single GB of data. The music, the art, the story, the characters, its all amazing. Im shocked this much content is relegated to a one or two GB of data. The game is very unique, all things considered. This game is a must buy, whether or not its on sale. We just ask that Square ports this game. It needs to shine on other platforms; It did on the Vita. This game is too good to just be only on mobile.
Chaos Rings and Chaos Rings 2 were phenomenal, we wish there was a way for them to be brought up to date with the current version of iOS.
We literally love this game. Kinda wish you could replay story missions or at least bosses cause playing as True Incarnatus was fun. We also wish the game would get some more episodes or a sequel cause we love the characters, gameplay, music, story. Never got the chance to play the other Chaos Rings games so it would be cool if they all got brought back and updated graphics so more people could play them. The best mobile RPG in our eyes AND its not a free to play or need internet to play, makes the game 10/10. 5 stars for us.
This is still one of the best RPG experiences on mobile. Im over 45 hours into it and absolutely love it. Its quite an amazing story with unique character/card customization, and a fun battle mode. The only mobile games Ive put more time into are DQVIII, MHFU, MHS, FFIX, FFVII, and FFIII.
Yahoo!! We have been waiting for them to fix this on IOS 13 and they finally have for the most part.. There are blue bars on the left and right side but we dont care is still one of the best games ever put on a phone!! Also looks great on our iPad Pro 11 a must get.
Basically portable persona 4. Great game worth more than 20$ to be honest.
It was one of the best games out there. It would be nice if we have more like it out there and kept up to date for all new and old players who loved the Chaos Rings games. They were all awesome in graphics and storylines.
We just wish Square Enix brought the other Chaos Rings back for purchase. Oh well, maybe someday our dreams will become a reality.
Square Enix, Im a HUGE fan of your games! Chaos Rings III is absolutely amazing on iOS & Android! The recent PSVita update with multi-language support was but for some reason, Chaos Rings III in the Prequel Trilogy on Vita doesnt have that same support. More importantly, we (and MANY others) desperately miss the original Chaos Rings, Chaos Rings Omega, and Chaos Rings II! These were some of the BEST mobile RPGs ever made! Yet now, theyre completely unplayable because they havent been updated. With no way to experience them on iOS or any modern consoles, theyve been lost to time and thats heartbreaking! PLEASE consider updating them for current iOS versions or porting them to modern platforms like Switch, PS5, or Steam! These games deserve to be played again by new and old fans alike! Thank you for all the incredible RPGs over the years! This fan is still holding out hope!! #ChaosRingsForever.
The game is good but it would be perfect if it had these things: record the game with iCloud, translation into Spanish and support for controllers.
The game is very nice but it would be frustrating to have to start from scratch if for some reason we have to change devices and we don't have a backup please put an option to sync with iCloud. Thanks a lot.
Just wanted to confirm this works on the new iPad 9. We like the characters and battles though the characters should have a zoom out option when outside battle as the camera is close to them. We did appreciate the Christmas sale and bug fixes. The game has a nice prologue that devolves into fetch quests/mobile style bonuses but the weakness system is pretty good.
Currently the game has a performance issue that causes the frame rate to be relatively low, we absolutely love this game but the enjoyment is slightly hampered by not having a 30 FPS minimum.
Having the option to use a controller is something we feel would make this game even more enjoyable.
The enix team needs to add compatibility for shared pair of bluetooth wireless gaming control devices such as ps4 controller; bluetooth controls pair to iphone 8+ with share button and sync perfectly with most games GTA FF9 OCEANHORN but not CRIII PLEASE FIX 2020 Update.
Well this used to be one of the best Jrpgs on mobile. Now its just a hot mess. After months of the game being broken from IOS 13, now our save is gone. So to sum it up, Fantastic game, but full of problems.
We came back to this game after like 3 years and its still eh…..its personally the 2nd best in the series, not like that matters cause square took all of them down besides this one, and its very cliche. Please bring back the previous titles. We bought them and would like to play our $80 worth lol.

Square Enix we grew up playing your games, our dad played kingdom hearts our brother played pretty much everything and so am we but please we beg of you do a 15+year fan a favor and rerelease the other games in this series we never was able to finish the first one due to mental health issues and price constraint and we never even got to play the second one so if you could do that for us we would by them in a heartbeat as well as if you could put ff8 on here we love you guys and am looking forward to final fantasy 7 remake and kingdom hearts 3 re:mind and we need something to do while we wait so please and thank you for over a decade of perfect games we love you guys.

We didnt review it when we first got it a couple years ago because we thought there would be better ones, but there werent. This is the best game Ive ever played on mobile. The only game that comes close is KOTOR and thats not even really a mobile game. Its a port of a console game. Chaos rings has been around for a long time and its still better than any game thats ever featured on iTunes.

To the guy who asked for a refund cause his saved file was deleted no lol. You bought their game, you played it, just because you either finished it or your files were deleted because of your actions theyre not entitled to refund you anything. If that was the case, the video game industry wouldnt be in business cause as soon as people beat the games theyd return them so, no lol.

We have been playing Square games since the early 90s. Some of our favorites include Final Fantasy 6 and 7, Chrono Trigger, Xenogears, Secret of Mana and Crisis Core. Since the days of the ps1 the quality of Square (now Square/Enix) games has nose dived in our opinion. Clear evidence of this can be seen in the countless re-releases of older Square games and spinoffs rather than new original content. Chaos Rings 3 however has everything Ive been looking for in a handheld jrpg. Great, truly original story, gorgeous graphics, an epic soundtrack, characters that develop well throughout the game and become real people you get attached to…. The whole shebang. But most of all it has a phenomenal turn based battle system that is deep and engaging with enough strategic elements to keep it fresh. We could not ask more from a 20 dollar game that we can play on our phone. Im really hoping that the dark age of Squaresoft is coming to an end and this game is a great indication of that…along with Final Fantasy 15. We have always enjoyed these games because they are different worlds we can get sucked into and become a part of. Games that spark our imagination and thrill us with great plots, gameplay, characters, and music. Keep it up guys. No more hallway simulators. No more games that are all flash and no substance. If youre tired of replaying Chrono Trigger or thinking of buying another classic Square game just to have something good on your phone to play….maybe consider this game instead.
Played the whole game to 100% 2 times. Been playing again and again for a year and a half. Get ohz coins by doing quests or 30 at a time by reaching 100 floor of Magma Ocean. This storyline is excellent, better than Dragon Quest 3, better than any Zelda game we have ever played. Better get it now and play while you can. Square Enix likes to take away old chaos rings games. Some of the content is missing from the Apple Store. In the Google Play Store version of the game, the monsters in the arena go up to level 130 or something. But in our version, the monster levels stop at 58. Also, in the GPS version, you have the chance to discover and beat Adam. But, the quest doesnt show up in the Apple version. Why dont people talk about these inconsistencies.
Ive not found any other game as good as this one. We finished it over a year ago and have been looking for a game this good ever since.
Remember when games on the phone were more than f2p cash grabs and people actually put effort into their games? This game may be the only one of its kind still available today – an AAA mobile gaming experience that tells a great story and has a balanced combat system that's based around tactics.
We love the design and colors and story line. Well done. Our only wish, especially as we purchased the game so we own our copy, is that we have no way to earn ohnz coins faster. Items using ohnz coins are expensive but rewards for quests are cheap…only one per quest. Why can't we purchase more coin or maybe the quest levels should pay more depending on their level. Other than that this is the best game we have found in a long time. Hope you are creating more. Oh and we found this game at number three in the series and can't find the others at the App Store…is there a reason why they are no longer available.
Chaos Rings is an App Store gem. Im a little disappointed it didnt get more attention. But its got story, good gameplay, customization; and while the main character may just be a Sora clone, thats really our only complaint. When it first came out there were glitches, but to our knowledge theyve all been fixed. We just wish the earlier games were still available. So yeah! Good game! Highly recommend it.
Devs take note not all games have to contain in app purchases. This game was $20.00 which to some might seem like a lot but it is indeed worth it. It is extremely polished and feels like it couldve been released on the ps2 along with FinalFantasyX. The story along with the gameplay are amazing! Squareenix we just hope you continue to release great games like this that again dont cost more than your average game on the App Store but give you a real console game with no in app purchases ( which with a lot of games will cost you more) great work on this masterpiece.
Absolutely worth every penny. Got sunk into the story line, almost couldn't put it down. Great game, can't wait for the next one. But also please add the old ones to the store again, we missed the chance to play them and itd be awesome to experience their story, Id gladly pay for them.
(Edit) <There's a glitch that force closes when using analyze. We kept trying to use it in magma ocean and it forced closed each time. Please fix.> For once we actually feel like the game we payed for is worth every penny. They put so much work into this and if they just made a game with this much effort every so often for the mobile market, they could change mobile gaming forever. It's like having one of the final fantasy's for ps2 but on your mobile device. Amazing story, balanced gameplay, lots of stuff to do and it's not short like we expected. We're so pleased with Square Enix and this game that words can't describe how pleasing this game is to us. PLEASE square, put this much time into mobile games more often and we promise you that you'll make so much money and give so many people hope for mobile gaming. It's the first time we feel like square didn't con somebody out of money. Keep it up guys and you have our bills on an product of this caliber.
Good ties of lore within game, such as playing Leon's son. Detailed vast world with a modern twist on ff gameplay.
We feel that the Chaos Rings series is a bit underrated, and should be right up there with the other "non Final Fantasy" titles/series like Dragon Quest, the Mana series, etc. We've played through the very first Chaos Rings, and we immediately fell in love with it. And when we first saw the trailers for Chaos Rings III, we were ecstatic. However, life happens every now and then, and we unfortunately wasn't able to play through the other 2 titles (Chaos Rings Omega and Chaos Rings II) — though we did purchase them. Now that we finally have time, we are unable to run the previous Chaos Rings titles, as they have been pulled from the App Store. It would be great if these wonderful games could be updated to run on current mobile operating systems. Thank you, and keep on creating, Square Enix! :).
Truly an amazing game we love the story the gameplay is amazing we just have one regret we dissent get the other chaos rings games but someday we hope they can rerelease them for iOS we would gladly buy them in a heartbeat we hope they do an update for them if they do release the games to support iOS 7 and above we this had a higher rating system we would rate the games with 100 stars.
We bought the first Chaos Rings but didn't get the second in time before it was pulled from the app store. Needless to say we're a big supporter of the series so when the forth installment came out, we waited two years to buy it. People who think this game is expensive are right however, it is also Four times bigger than the first one and four times the characters.. The gameplay is also more refined from the first one, with more summoners that can also be leveled up. How this game differentiates from the first is the it is in full 3-D and is more immersive/ interactive! Overall, The $20 price-tag is expensive, but considering that the game is more immersive with full3D, has extensive characters/environments, is 75+ hours long where most other mobile games are only 4-5 hours long and is specifically made for mobile more than justifies the cost! We can't wait for the direct sequel to Chaos Rings 3.
Pros: a solid single player game on ios, good rpg that doesnt have any iap, whether they are the expensive kind or the points for sale cheap kind, that you buy points and use them in game. That in itself is rare to find on the ios app store. Cons: leary and elroux have small breasts, need to give them an upgrade. Con 2: main character and his outfit look ripped from kh series, his arms also need some muscle, not a lot, but some so he doesnt look same model as the girls. Con 3: needs a way to get more ohnz besides doing quests over and over, like a npc or store that you can exchange mh for ohnz, or give us more than 1 ohnz as reward from quests. Con 4: some of the items, cards skill ability descriptions need a spellchecker and proofreader. Con 5: not sure if the achievements are working on ios, when we hit achievements in options screen, it takes us to a screen that say achievements unavailable and says rate it and facebook likes unavailable. Please fix. We finally downloaded cr 3 and am enjoying it a lot, please bring back the earlier games in the series, ill buy them. Lol Also found a bug that is similar to the earlier reported magma ocean/infared camera bug that jellyaintjamming reported in an earlier review. If you go to winter wonderland blizzard area and encounter a snow dragon and use analzye on it it crashes to desktop or the main screen of your ios device. We say it may be similar, because they both are triggered by infared camera or analyze, which is basically the same game effect. Also sometimes during the hunts in winter wonderland it also crashes randomly, can't figure out the cause yet. Hope you guys can fix these bugs and crashes soon.
Worth every penny, covers everything we'd like to see in a portable game: Nice graphics Great story Fun gameplay.
