What Makes Hard Time HD Stand Out
Squeeze even more action into your cell with this special high resolution version of the game for tablets! Create your own inmate and attempt to survive in a prison where every sentence is a "death" sentence. Rub shoulders with up to 100 fellow inmates in a sprawling facility of 12 unique areas, each filled with fully interactive furniture and props. Plus a life beyond the gates populated by real civilians, with wardens enforcing dozens of different laws to keep you as far away from it as possible.
Each day, you will find your health and mental state slipping away. Both can be restored by sleeping – which is also a good way to pass time. You won't always be permitted to sleep, though, so consuming food and drink bridges the gap. These, along with many other activities such as reading or watching TV, can also help to improve your mental state. If you "lose your mind" you will temporarily lose control of your character – and will almost certainly get into trouble!
Your character also has a set of attributes that you are challenged to improve:
- STRENGTH indicates how much damage you can inflict or absorb. You can improve it by fighting or lifting weights.
- AGILITY determines how fast you move. You can improve it by jogging in the yard or scoring baskets.
- INTELLECT reflects your knowledge – including fighting skills such as counters. You can improve it by reading books.
- REPUTATION is how much other prisoners respect you. It can be improved by accomplishing tasks or intimidating others.
There are also opportunities to earn money – whether you work for it with a broom, trade items at a profit, or run with a gang. Having money increases your opportunities to grease the wheels and make your life inside easier.
You may find that you need to go to the toilet from time to time, in which case you must race to the bathroom! Alternatively, you could find a toilet to sit on or grab some toilet paper to spare your blushes. Failing to do so will damage your reputation and mental state.
I regret that there is more to this game than I could ever explain here, so I hope you enjoy figuring some things out for yourself!

BASIC CONTROLS:

A = Attack (on its own to kick, with a direction to punch)
G = Grapple / Throw weapon
R = Run
P = Pick-Up / Drop
T = Taunt (interact with handheld props)
OTHER CONTROLS
- Press ATTACK and RUN together to launch a powerful attack.
- Press any button with any direction (or none) in a grapple to trigger different moves.
- Press RUN and PICK-UP together to set fire to a small object (which can then be used to set fire to a large object).
- Touch the clock to pause the game and bring up options to exit.
- Touch any speech bubble to speed through conversations.
PERFORMANCE
- If you find your device struggles to display lots of characters, considering keeping the "Population" option low.
- "Speed Up Frame Rate" sleeping will require good performance at the default frame rate.
- Head to the "Display" options to tone down other features.

Please consider adding the following: being able to actually interact with a pool table and snooker cue ( 8 ball pool), being able to sit through court with a lawyer, and being able to talk to other inmates and wardens apart from regular responses.

To the people who say we don't like it because when we get into a fight the character moves on its own that's because ur going insane because ur trash at the game.
We love the classic arcade look, and that we have to mash specific buttons to cause extreme pain to other prisoners when you tackle them or pulling their arms. Love it.
Ive played every single game made by MDickie, including Moksha which didnt work, but, thats besides the point. This want one of our all-time favorites by MDickie, we would love it if you could make a 3D version for mobile so we wont have to turn on our computer.
We experienced the best game of our life and we have been playing it for 5 years. We thank its creator and if you can add persian language, it will be very good and this game deserves 5 stars, so we give it 5 stars.
Its really hard to find our cell we need a map or something when Im traveling somewhere to find the cell The map only appears on the screen for like A half a second and then we cant find our cell.
Whenever we finish our sentence they dont let us go and they extend our sentence.
We really like this game its really hard. But sometimes the buttons to disappear and the character just kinda gets a mind of its own.
We really suggest that when you update this game you should make it like school days where it lets you pick your own character. Overall its a very good game. Havent played in years so it feels good to know this game is still a good game.
So well this is gonna be a short review but why would you take out character customization? Its just not fun, the people we get look weird and if we get a dumb looking character we cant back out because it will just start the game. Please Im begging you change it.
We used to be able to change our appearance but since we cant we dont really play anymore. As a girl we dont wanna have to be a boy every time we join. We used to be able to be a girl we dont know what has changed. Please add characters so we can be girls in the beginning.
Im not sure where this went wrong. We couldve sworn you could customize your character before, but now you have to pay? Could be better.
This game could be a 5 star we that because we played when they had customization and it was so much fun grinding and because the best after they took it. They made it were the the game is boring because the starter characters look bad and the names were so much fun to mess with. Its just sad how they ruined it because they wanted money.
Fix your game when ever we get into a fight our character just starts moving and fighting on its own but im not even controlling it fix ur trash game.
We use to enjoy this game until you removed the feature to create your own character. Creating our own player was our favorite part of the game.
This game has 3 glaring problems. A. You cannot make a character in the slightest. Every section is locked and you get some generic character which is very sad since this game has a wide variety of cosmetics. You cant customize moves either which in a game thats 95% about combat, not being to pick or know the movies is a pretty big deal. The second thing is the combat. We have already mentioned that lack of move control but also the combat is very simple. You either hit or grapple a enemy until theyre on the ground and then hit them until they die. Weapons are the same thing but sometimes just at a range. Finally there is not enough to do. Sometimes youll get mission to deliver packages to either people but if you dont start a fight with 6 people and get sent to the judge its impossible to fail. You can escape but theres nothing changed other than the arenas. Lets say you want a certain play style. Get high smarts and strength so you can win fights and never get a longer sentence. Oh wait you cant because its behind a paywall. In conclusion every part of this game is severely flawed and we would not recommend getting it.

We mean it! Im on a mission to kill all the prisoners we play as, but the game keeps saving us! THAT ISNT HOW REAL LIFE WORKS! In real life, if you have very bad health, you die and thats it. Nobody saves you except for family and friends (maybe even the healthcare system if they are called). Fix your game.
HOW DO we HAVE A CUSTOM PRISONER CREATOR ON ANDROID WITHOUT UPGRADES AND ON IOS YOU HAVE TO UPGRADE THE STUPID GAME TO DO IT? WHY ARE YOU SO IN LOVE WITH GOOGLE PLAY AND GIVE EVERYTHING FREE TO THEM.
The game is very good but we need the alarm and cars to drive yeah and key cards so when you like it a police officer you can like get a key card from it then you like an escape a high security prison with the alarms going off when you escape.
Pretty easy if you played mostly m-dickie games, laughed our ass off when somebody gets injured, guns easy to control, infinite ammo though which is weird, but overall great game, needs updates though.
We got away with several acts of murder in this game lol when ur in court just keep tapping on ur character and the judge will save u.
We loveee this game not the mpcs we want this game to be a multi player if you put multiply we would actually play this game forever.

When we got out of jail our person froze.
We love this game so much and other Mdickie games.
Its a great game, but we dont know how to pick people up when theyre dying, other then that, just a really great prison simulator.

We got this game last year just love it even tho we hate the cops it makes it fun.
Its a fun game but the police will sometimes arrest us for escaping when Ive already served our sentence and its pretty annoying when the judge decides to lock us up for 9 days for nothing.
Its a good game but any is there this bug that freezes you in the title screen after an ad its just annoying really and why is there 17+ when it doesnt have the content to be besides the violence we would like more gore as we are a person who loves gory games Extra lives XL was a good game because of the gore.

The game continuously freezes on the home screen that says mcdickie which is a shame because its a great game without that glitch.
Half the time after a ad it just shows us the logo and we cant play anymore.

We love all of your games we mean these games are so good but this game still needs some updates. If you would not mind to add some of these things we think as someone who as played all your your games we think adding these would make it better. 1. We think adding Days mounts and years would be better then like 157 days or 56 days that would make this game so much better. 2. We feel like adding in a death row sentence would be cool along with security level like low mid max super max and death row would make the game feel like a real prison and the judge would pick the players death. If you add at least 1 or both would make the game a lot better.
