We been very happy with this game for years until the last update which almost prevents you from getting a high score, now you have to wait until 3 cards are dealt which is a lot slower than before, please revert back to the way it was.
We have played and enjoyed this game for years. The look and feel of it, the sounds, and the gameplay made it a go to game for us. But a new version was just pushed to our phone, and we hate it. The new game play is slower and clumsier, and it seems like its now impossible to win unless you buy tokens to cheat when you get stuck. We dont play that way, and we resent that its being foisted upon us. We paid for the app years ago, and we get that the developer needs to make money, but forcing us to change the way we play so that we have to buy tokens is not going to make them any money from us. We didnt ask for this upgrade, and we dont like that they are basically saying that we either have to adapt to their pay model or we cant use the game we paid for. It seems that they have made our choice for us.
Love love love this game we have been a member for years and no matter what new tablet we purchase we reconnect with thisnsystem.
We got this expecting to have clock along with all the others. Now we find we have earn the rest of the games in order to get what we were after.

Now they want to charge us $30/year to play solitaire after we already paid for the app.
Our wife is crying because she can no longer play this game. We bought this for our wife who has cognitive disabilities from MS years ago on her computer. As windows changed and became more complex due to constant marketing, we switched her to the iPad and bought it again. Now she cant play this game due it hounding her to login, try add ons and whatever else. Its a shame all this is getting so greedy for revenue be if from subscriptions or reselling personal info about customers.

Love this app, our favorite, but the March 2 update has left us unable to play some games. When we click on certain games (especially Free Cell 3 Deck Easy), the whole app crashes! So disappointed. Hope it’s fixed soon.
We were thrilled to discover that this is now an app on the Kindle. We’ve had their software often on for the last 15 years. It is the best solitaire game. We love the graphics.
We have has many solitaire apps but thus one remains our favorite over and over again. We love the background choices, the sounds in the background, and all the unique solitaire games like Grandfather Clock and Montana that we love to play for hours.
We have been waiting for this game to come to iPad! We have loved this game since our first PC. And then when we switched to a iMac we bought that version. The Graphics are great. All of their card games are very good and worth it. So Excited we found them again. Don’t stop with solitaire look for their other games for iPad.

We found this company years back on the Xbox 360. When we traded it in, we really missed the game so we took a chance and searched for them. Yay! We can’t praise the beautiful scenery, relaxing sounds, and wonderful artwork enough! Love it!
The cards and interface are gorgeous. The reason we give it 3 stars is because it is constantly trying to connect to the internet. It’s getting really annoying having to close the pop-up that lets us know it can’t connect. There should be an option to disable this, but there isn’t. This is a solitaire game, not a multiplayer!
The game crashes after moving the first card played!! Was working fine before the last update!!
Any game that requires drawing from the pile does not function on our iPad Mini 4. Unfortunate, since this was one of our favourite games once upon a time.

This a a great game. We really like playing, even though we don’t know how to play all that well.
I, happily, happened upon the Hardwood games, years ago, and loved them! The medieval themes and background music simply added to an already magical gameplay. We honestly thought ‘it’s the best game of its kind’! So, when we realized we didn’t have a solitaire game on our iPad, we wondered if the folks at Silver Creek Entertainment made an app for that. They did! (I not only purchased it back then, for myself… But we turned our whole family onto the Hardwood games, as well… Which they then purchased, in turn.) we have only one disappointment, and it’s a big one! (one, we believe, they should make clearer) When you purchase this game, as an app, you aren’t actually ‘buying’ it, you are merely purchasing a "Plus Membership" which allows you to play the game for a month, and then it expires! If you want to continue to play it, you’ll have to continue to repurchase it, every month. (you are simply leasing this game, on a monthly basis). (Honestly, we believe that this game is still quite amazing, but we’re unimpressed with the way in which they have chosen to market it. It just seems a bit dishonest. I’d much rather purchase a game for $12.99, than continually have to re-purchase it for $.99, every month.)

Our family has played this for many years on desktop computers. The sounds, options, music, graphics, avatars, and production values are simply fantastic. Beautifully crafted, relaxing and mesmerizing to play. We’re looking fwd to seeing how the iphone version (hooray! They made one!) compares to what we’re used to.
We can forgive the publisher for pushing out a freemium model of their app since that is expected anymore, though we miss the days when you paid more and got a full-featured application. We would have expected to see retina graphics in the application, however.
The new update is awesome on our new iPad. It crashes on our original iPad but that is ok. We have this on our Mac and LOVE it as you can put the games you have purchased on the Mac to the iPad. Awesome!! Thanks to the developers!!!
We used to play the Silver Creek games on our PC before we switched to a Mac. We loved them and was pleased to see them available. However, we don’t like the continual News Feed at the bottom or the connection to Game Center. It’s fine when we play with someone else, but as a single player game we really don’t care about adding our score and would love to be able to turn those features off. If we can find a solution or if they change this the game would be perfect.

Not user friendly.. Not as good as the older hardwood solitaire 2. Deleted it after trying to play.
Please fix the icon for this App. We’ve uninstalled, reinstalled, and updated, but every time the app finishes installing, the app icon changes to a rendering of the game splash screen (SilverCreek logo with a waterfall) that is cropped and displayed sideways at 90 degrees. Very annoying! This is on a 3rd generation iPad with Retina display.
Very good game excellent graphics, menus are slow and bulky. Once you get past the menu’s the game is smooth and fun.
We had the pc version and was anxiously waiting for the iPad one, but to our surprise, these guys seem very greedy charging for EVERYTHING! We mean, we understand they want to be rewarded for their jobs, but it is the same as the pc versions, it wasn’t as if they designed everything from scratch, they even have a few bugs with the menus and is quite slow. So we don’t think it is even worth all the extra money. They just include like 6 games, the pc version had dozens for one price, as well as deck faces, avatars, music, backgrounds, etc, you could even customize all to your preferences. We hope they just decide to lower their extra charges, cause we’re sure it will scare a lot of new buyers who are not familiar with the original game.
We’ve played the Hardwood Solitaire series on both the PC and the Xbox before getting it for the iPad. This version is quite nice and worth the money, but there are a couple of things that could be improved upon. Animation is slow in some areas (most noticeably the menus) and there is a glaring lack of game types. Other than that, if you’re looking for a high quality solitaire game, look no further!
This game has great animation and tons of game options to choose from, so you’ll never get bored. Also, the background and card designs are beautiful. Very enjoyable to play, we recommend it!
This game has goregous graphics. True, the transition to iPad has made the gameplay a little slow. It says some environments have sound effects but we don’t see that. For instance, in the computer version the "village square" back ground has bird song, etc. The computer version has more backgrounds & sound effects; hopefully this app eventually will be upgraded to incorporate some of those. And, we’ll up our rating to five stars (despite the minor flaws previously mentioned) if you’ll add La Belle Lucie, our favorite game on the computer version.,
It is sluggish when we enter the main menu. And some animations are annoying. Game play is not that bad. But we think it needs more work.
