Light GO 13x is a Board/Strategy/Entertainment game from CHIA HO KUO, first launched in 10th May 2012.

What Makes Light GO 13x Stand Out

It is a simple GO game(13 x 13). It is easy to play. It provides Game Center Network Battle.

To provide the diversified playing methods and different settings below:
-Computer- Your opponent is the computer. This is a practice for you. The computer makes the first move.
-2 Players- Your opponent is another person. The black player makes the first move.
-Network- Game Center matches the two players and computer decides the colors. You can play with all players of the world. (Please join Game Center at first.)
-Leaderboards- Game Center saves the result of the games including the wins, draws and defeats of the players, and provides the Leaderboards.
-Achievements- Game Center saves the players’ “Points” and provides the achievements.
-Audio Switch- Turn on/off audio.

The Undo function only for the Computer mode and the 2 Player mode.

The point formula for Achievements:
1 win=3 score, 1 draw=1 score, 1 defeat=-1 score, ten scores=1 point, points=(wins x 3 + draws – defeats) / 10 -
The player who exits game before game over loses the game at the network mode.

The computer player has a large advantage because it does not have to follow the same rules as we do.
Someone asked about the rules. If they mean how to play Go then its not a valid complaint. People must learn Go outside of the app. Bigger problem is that the app does not offer any end game calculations. Too few options. Crashes often.
It's unplayable if the computer can make an illegal move, which it did for us.
The computer player always makes the perfect move, he always starts first, does not ever place poor placement. If you are trying to learn the game as a pass time, don't use this app. Have never been more frustrated at a game that defines its "Easy" mode as unbeatable to the average user.
This thing can't handle a game, it just keeps on crashing.
First of all, your ALWAYS black. Also, how is the mode easy, easy?! No rules, no tips, how would you improve your game.
Can only play 13×13. Look else where for a full size go experience.
Someone trying to make. Quick buck game is horrific.
No rules, makes up own rules, never plays right, cheats, and is the greatest wasted of our time.
Too hard to self teach, so give us some game rules!!! Frustrating and maddening.
It seems the computer only plays black, and never resign.
It works fine, but as a beginner we found it difficult to enjoy because on the "easy" setting the computer is relentless. We can't even come close to winning. Also no options to change board size and human player always has to be white.
Perfect app for both beginners at Go and veterans! The computer is hard, but not impossible! 5 stars.
For those of you just learning the game, and even those who consider yourselves intermediate players, don't try this one–it will give you only exercise in futility and frustration for the game.
Verry aggressive computer setting, set more on gobling prisonners than teritory. We learned a thing or two, can't say no. But for a beginner like us in the 20something k, it is not that useful as it is annoying.
Simply put the UI is lackluster and shows too much. Also on iPad the board has lots of visual artifacts like a lossy JPEG blown up on a big screen. We couldn't let the unsightly go board go. Keep up the great work, it works :).
We wish it was easier for someone who's brand new and trying to learn. It has three settings of difficulty: easy, medium, and hard but even easy is hard. We guess it's not bad if you're all ready experienced though.
Stupid app useless for beginners not for those who want to learn the game.
Player always plays white. No handicap possibilities. This is for experienced players only. Beginners need not apply. Even at easy setting the game is almost impossible to beat. Since most iPhone Go players are most likely not experienced or very good players and want this app to learn the game this is a wasted app. In the trash with it.
We cannot beat the AI, even on easy. It's a great app, but that runs the experience.
Been playing GO off and on for years now,and the things we don't like are,you can't choose black or handicap game,beginner level is more like expert level. How do you make Go easy right? Lol! Well it is fun and free though,and this advanced version should make you a better player in no time.
Its great just what we were looking for but the computer is crazy hard. Our friend, who is incredibly good, said tgat the computer is highly advanced( but he still beat it) he said that the computer was atleast 15k. And he was 12K. But it was set on easy! So for youre next update can u make a setting that is for beginners, like new to the game beginners. We just started playing GO and am really good( for a beginner) so help.
It is go, it plays, and we like it. It is the game and the only free app we can find to play go for free. Other apps may have better ai and more features, but you can't beat the price.
