I think one of the reasons AOE is so strong right now is because the game doesn’t have great healers at the moment. With Elrond, AOE might fare worse than single target attacks against his team. Cause if you don’t kill Elrond, he’s gona keep ressurecting every elf. So multi hit single target abillities will be necessary, or dispel attacks. We just dont have any teams with insane sustain power at the moment, wich makes AOE super strong.

Marvel strike force has been out for 5 years. WHERE are the chain and rebound chain attacks? Where are the adjacent attacks? Would have added so much more fun and strategy to this game…like idk making WHERE you place your characters relevant. God I like the game but it’s so boring sometimes. The lack of variation and strategy is staggering. An entire ability upgrade end sup being +5 % resistance. Like wtf? Why not 50% so it actually makes the character hard to debuff and therefore you need to strategize around it.

I get what you’re saying… but I’m also dominating my matchups with my only AOE being Elladan’s ultimate… Elrohir, Arwen, Ugluk, and Hal are my others. The nimbles, the heals… I finish most fights with 4/5 still standing. 🤷🏼♂️

Tomas Mana: Bro I need your advice, I have little chance to get 5 elves to 5 stars for the legendary event. The problem is that I am going to arrive with very few resources, 3 people uploaded to g7 and the other 2 to g5 at most. Do you think that with that level of equipment I will get the event done? or better not try

Wolf StFox: AoE vs single isn’t really a fair comparison, your still doing more dmg to a single target and honestly in campaign bursting down enemies 1 at a time is better than trying to kill the whole team at once. Arena is where AoE is king, but that’s every turn based RPG with an arena mode, and while arena is mostly the content atm, raids are right around the corner that will probably change, as unlike MSF, GOH raids focused more on a single boss for the most part
GAMER STUDIO: The biggest mistake is when YouTube content creators start suggesting certain characters to be nerfed, people are investing gear and resources on this characters even money and than someone just come and give idea to CG go nerf those characters.
Andrew Johnson: I wouldn’t say aoe is meta I’m top 1-10 in my shard and I run Isengard 3 Eowyn and Ironhide. And I punch up 2k+ against aoe heavy teams with elladan. You can completely skill lock/blind elladan so he never gets his skills off. I do think aoe teams are great in pve though. Once Elrond comes in though there might be a change. I have considered changing in elladan for Eowyn though see how that may work.
Blackbird: Depends on what your threshold is. Single target attacks could be buffed instead. How quickly should battles progress for example. Other titles move battles along at a quicker pace 2-3 turns to clear a wave. I don’t have a real opinion on which is better but I think you’re implying that it isn’t balanced. There are other ways to achieve that. They could buff healers for ex. I think they moved away from placement strategy. I preferred it . . . Not sure why it was removed.
Tomas Mana: What I think is that the one who needs a nerf is Halbarad. Elladan will be strong with her ability at 6, but she’s still better Halbarad
Valais95: AoE meta ends with elrond. Combine elrond with another healer pref halbarad and it is only single target damage that matters from that point onwards
shoutsatmeat: I get the thought, but personally I’m playing the long game. Max gear, max star, max level I believe synergy will be the top priority. Rivendell, Isengard, Rangers, and Harardrim when they fill out.

Azhak because like you said he’s single target damage is extreme, especially if they have bleed!
Aidyn O’Connor: Seems like one of their best options at this stage might be to introduce a blanket effect for all teams, where any unit on the back row takes -30% aoe damage, or something similar. That way players can’t just look to aoe spam their way through the enemy, especially if a high priority target is sitting on the back row
