Now that they have fixed a lot of the major bugs. We love this game! So simple to play when we have a free moment. It reminds us of games we played as a kid. We also love the black and white simple design. Hop our little froggy Prince! Hop hop!
When we open this game up it shows us the screen and everything but when we press start it crashes we honestly love this game it looks neat by the video but we want experience that please fix (I use our iPod touch)
A fun game with an endearing art style that rewards perseverance. The game is deceptively simple but certainly difficult, and you will likely die many times. However, once you get the hang of it, beating your high score in this game is a very rewarding feeling. There are a variety of puzzling floors that require patience and precision timing, but with a few tries and a little determination, can be surpassed without too much difficulty. The game certainly provides a challenge, but after a few tries offers exactly what you want out of an endless platformer.
We had played it for a while and decided to throw down the 2.99 for no ads, we found it totally worth it. Fun to play when wanting to zone out or tune it. As of now (Sept.21) we’ve come across no bugs.
This game is simple in terms of controls, but is challenging and rewarding. We played this with some friends, and we competed for a high score.
We enjoyed the art style but the game is really hard.
We love the atmosphere of this game. The aesthetic is very nice. The characters are pleasing and they aren’t just given to you like in Crossy Road. In the future the levels could be a bit more diverse. The mechanics are fun, easy, and polished. We recommend this game to anybody.
Ill just preface this by saying we’ve never wrote a review for an app before, but we enjoy playing this game so much that we want to share some of our thoughts. So first off, this game is awesome. Its a new concept to us and is challenging and really fun. However, we’ve noticed that once you get to the 50s 60s 70s etc the game gets slightly stale. After 10 you get the addition of the short ladder and fire, at 20 you get the conveyer belt and a bit further you get the ghost on the conveyer belt. … And thats it. There is no more new content (at least that Im aware of) after that. That, we think is where the game falls short. After the 30s the levels become the same and blend together. We think that this game could very much benefit from adding more to the higher levels. This would allow new players to have the same semi-challenging environment while giving the more experienced players newer challenges and more to overcome.
We are so hooked on this game it’s not even funny. We played with ads for the first few days, but once we knew we loved the game, we paid the $3 and it has been SO worth it. Instead of the choice between using coins or watching an ad when you die, you get a free play and the choice to use coins. No ads really improves the experience! We like that it’s never the same game every time… You never know what kind of levels will be thrown at you! To date, the furthest we’ve made it is level 74. It’s so addicting. We got our boyfriend hooked too. The characters are cute and varied, the aesthetic is so old school, and the game play is simple yet challenging! We really recommend this game!
People say the adds are annoying and there definitely could be more content in this game, but overall it is a fun experience and it is worth paying 3 dollars for no more adds. Without money the developers can’t make the game better and fix bugs, so instead of complaining help them out. As for the game crashing and not working,I’ve never had that problem and it’s probably your phone. We just hope they add more cool stuff.
Its a great game aside from the ads and the one game breaking glitch that happened to us. We started climbing up a ladder, and the game just kept adding more ladders onto our ladder so we just kept climbing higher and the floor levels went over one thousand. The game is pretty fun though.
Don’t know why but this little 8-bit game is so hard to stop playing!!!!!
Crazy addictive, challenging and like a Nintendo Game Boy (original non-color version) game on a big screen. Great retro styled music too…
Everyone is dissing the game like that co22 guy call it trash and complained the makers of this game put a lot of work and time into this game but this still a simple and fun game.
Everything is excellent, with a coin system for unlock able characters rather than forcing in-app purchase. There is one minor non-game breaking flaw we’ve come across after the update, which are small but quick lag spikes every now and then. They don’t ruin the experience though. We would highly recommend this nostalgic and challenging game!
This takes us right back to the video games of the 80s and early 90s. The electronic haunted house ambience is perfect. Great game to play in a couple of minutes.

Do yourself a favor: play this game on airplane mode. Not only will you avoid those obnoxious pop-up ads, but it seems to actually work when not connecting to the net. Very addictive game, and it’s helped us kill hours riding the subway. But definitely needs an update ASAP.
When we first played this game, it gave us a sort of "Flappy Bird" vibe- easy to learn, but difficult to master. Thankfully it’s nowhere near as hard and hate-worthy as Flappy Bird. This game is enjoyable and we definitely recommend that you play it. The only problem is that there are a few too many ads, but hey.
EDIT: Down below is our previous review, but here is our new one: It’s great that the developers have fixed the most important bugs in this new version, but now there is a new bug. After playing for a couple of rounds, the music just stops and the sound effects keep going. Please fix this and we will rate 5 stars. We love the game, one of your best games in a while because it reminds us of the Game Boy. But EVERY time we die for the 3rd time, and it asks us if we wanna revive by paying 25 coins or watching an ad, we click the X button and the game freezes. So then we have to close the app, go back into the game, and then it freezes on our 3rd death again. PLEASE fix it, we are using an iPhone 5s if that helps.
This game is the perfect dosage of gameplay when you want something quick and challenging enough without being too easy nor too hard. Some of the repetition on these levels is a good thing. But we’ve unlocked all characters seen all floor designs. Maybe a small update? Thanks!
Fun little one touch platformer. If we have one complaint, it’s the delay between deaths and retries. You shouldn’t have to be sent back to the title screen every time you die. A button to restart right from the level would be much appreciated.
We first downloaded this game on our iPhone and we loved it. It’s cute and the music on it isn’t obnoxious like a lot of other games (mostly because it reminded us of the music in video games we played as a little kid with a nintendo and gameboy). When we downloaded it on our iPad we were hoping to have the same experience, but we can’t get past the start menu without the app crashing. It still works perfectly fine on our iPhone, so we guess we’ll just stick to playing it on there and hope that they make it better for iPad use.
This platform game is very cute, unique and challenging. We like the little creatures in all of your games!!! We recommend this game to people who like endless running games and/or platform games. Thanks for reading!

This could be a great game but you just threw it at us. No tutorial. No instructions. It would have been ok if the game was playable but it’s not. The ads don’t help.
This game SERIOUSLY needs an update… We first downloaded it a few days ago and it was working perfectly… Then all of a sudden the app doesn’t work anymore… We’ll try to open it and the opening title sequence just freezes… And we know it’s not just our phone because all our other apps work… We really enjoy this game so please look into this.
A basic single-input game with a fun, reminiscent art-style. Gameplay remains constant with the option to spend accumulated on skins in between attempts. Main issue(s): Cannon room with a block obstacle can be randomized to result in a certain death. Main complaint(s): Ads are a bit too frequent. Would prefer one every five rounds rather three.
We’re a big fan of your games but a huge problem is it doesn’t work for iPod even though it says so, it looks fun but we can’t play it. I’d give it probably 5 stars if it worked.
We like this game a lot, but it has some issues, and the ads are a bit too much. It’s not a problem for people a little better but for beginners you end up with a 30 second ad the 3rd time you die and a 5 second one every 3 times afterwards, which is just too much if you can’t get passed 4 levels or so cause you’re only getting like a minute of gameplay. There’s also a glitch that makes it so the ball and chain dropping is just completely impossible sometimes. The levels are randomly generated, and after 20 or so you can get the extra element of a conveyor belt and a short ladder which can be very difficult. In general some of the levels are just way too difficult, and it definitely seems like a design issue. For example your first level can be a cannon with the block, which with the inconsistent reaction time of the cannon is very difficult compared to the other levels you can get for your first 10. Then once you get past 20, you can get a ghost on the conveyor belt with a short ladder, which is VERY hard, sometimes impossible we think. The way it’s timed makes you jump just before the ladder and miss it, then get stuck having to jump backwards on the conveyor belt and dodge the ghost 2 more times to time the ladder jump right. This is just clearly poorly tested. Frustrating to hit glitches and bad design, but fun if you get lucky.
We were very excited to play this game and honestly we still am, but we’re already having major problems. When we first downloaded it, it was the first version so we didn’t expect it to be perfect, but we didn’t expect for it to crash without even seeing the nitrome logo! We own a 4s so we figured it just wasn’t compatible but we checked and it seems it is… We’ve waited until an update came out and we still cannot play the game. We are happy to wait for future updates to have the opportunity to play, please fix these problems, I’d love to give this app a try.
This game is a really cool idea and its super fun to play however the game crashes regularly making it very irritating and tedious to even think about opening the app knowing that its just going to crash and crash and crash until we finally get to some good gameplay our WiFi and cellular is on and its the only app running on our phone.
Played for about 2 minutes, in that time we experienced countless crashes, and glitches at made the game fairly unplayable. On top of that the game is way too hard as it feels like it really punishes you for the slightest mistake.
This had sooo much potential !!! But theres no instructions & basically you just tap but at the right millisecond. Or else you die & get an addy. We see the vision but ughhh it would have been GREAT if swiping left/right or up/down & taps could have been options instead of one tap. Really wanted it to be worthwhile.
Somebody put a lot of love into the artwork for this game. Unfortunately, they also put in a lot of ads. An ad plays every time you die, which would be reasonable except that we die every two seconds. You can’t learn how to play the game if an ad runs for ten of every twelve seconds that you try to play.
The game has fairly good graphics, but the mechanics are bad. It’s sort of like leap day, but you mostly climb ladders and try not to be killed by invincible monsters in a aggravatingly small room. Also, you occasionally die for no reason. 2/5 stars.
Gameplay has promise, but jumping and clearing obstacles is a bit too tight sometimes. Difficulty is fine, but the ads are way too intrusive and blocks a lot of the gameplay. This is NOT how to do a game with ads. Rewarding people by viewing ads is fine, shoving it in peoples faces 1/2 of the time is not.
We don’t leave reviews often but this game made us frustrated enough to leave one. The ideas are good but it’s actual implementation is lacking. We played about 50 times and every single time, it started us with a crappy area. Fix the randomness and make it a little more fair, and we’ll update our review to reflect that.
It keeps crashing we can’t even play how do you even play when we got it to work we died we didn’t even know what to do?! Fix the crashing!
Plain and simple. You die? Ads. You want revived? Ads. Not just simple ads. Its full video ads. Completely ridiculous. We’re fine with some basic ads but half our game play is ads. Otherwise game would be basic but ok.
When we downloaded we thought it would be good but there are ads annoying game mechanics and pointless characters this game should have gotten an abortion.

So adorable, but there’s no instructions for playing so all we can do is look at it and die. Devs: at least give enough instructions to get someone though the first 5 minutes of gameplay. It looks like we could record and share a video of our game, but there’s no basic instructions for playing? Sorry we’re not a pro gamer… We just wanted some 8-bit cute time-wasting on our phone.
