Community Insight:

Great game, although we admit the timer really stresses us out.If theres a way to turn the timer of, or at least make it longer, please let us know.

The game is fun and entertaining, especially for math nerds like us. Graphics are crisp, smooth, and pleasing to the eyes (at least to ours). Never have been more proud of a math game thats actually fun (and a little addicting) to play! Gameplay is simple – but dont let it fool you. Yes, all you have to do is solve simple arithmetics problems in the beginning, however, having such a limited time will cause one to make mistakes. Highly beneficial to whoever wants to become faster in mental math lol This has been especially challenging considering that you have to choose which enemy youd attempt to attack. They include numerous pets with various powers to assist you in your mathematical battles, such as slowing down time, increasing health, etc. In order to unlock pets, youll have to loot specific items for that specific pet (we.e. Apples for a donkey named Henry). Other than all that, Ive been playing for a few days already and have obtained a few extra gems to buy some items from the shop. Although we saved up to 248 gems, we purchased 2 orders of 9 salads and 6 cheese pieces for 25 gems each and it never gave the items for us :( Ive tried refreshing but it didnt work… We know its not a big deal, but Id like to have a new pet! Even so, still an amazing game. Not to mention, a math game! Please keep up the great work.

It's a good game but we warn you, This game is not for the weak hearted. ( we're not a robot…).

We dont understand why theres so many complains.

It would be nice to have a survival level were you get rewards for each wave of 3, with each wave getting harder. Something like that. Other than that, a fun math game to get the brain going, even for adults.

We dont keep games installed if they reward you with ads after beating a level. Update. The forced ads have gotten better, but why do they need to be there? How about rewarding ads instead.

Edit: much better than before. Ads are now skippable part way as opposed to how it was before where you had to watch the entire ad. Thanks for fixing this.

We love this game, have been plying for about a year. Maybe 3 weeks ago, the Leaderboard route broke. Ive contacted devs, but no response.

After beating the librarian (intro boss) we cant progress any further. The giant collect button does not react to our clicks, restarting the game, your scrolls are consumed but you dont get credit for the fight the only option is to redo the fight to which you will still not be able to click the collect button.

It would be nice if the very first level started slow; the current version only works for people at a very specific level of math skill.

Its just prodigy with easy math that will take your money. We recommend prodigy for grade based math, a fun story tho it can get a little repetitive with the fighting but its better than this. Not sponsored.

Like the game so far and think it will be great for our kids aside from the fact that after we beat the boss in the library it asks for a review and then promptly freezes forcing us do that battle over and over without ever saying the area is complete. Will change our review once this is fixed.

It took us forever to beat the Librarian in chapter 1 butt what we do hate is that when you get a question wrong it sets you back 1 thing and the adds because every time after you complete a battle it gives you an add.

Maybe a little algebra or fractions. He could visit Rome and maybe a circle island thats all broken up that only fractions will fix.

There should be an option to choose/change the difficulty of the game. The game gets hard at when we reach the forest (subtraction). Apparently, Im supposed to answer subtraction problems with three numbers while being timed. Sometimes the numbers get near 24. Overall, the game is amazing! We shouldnt rate this game lower than 5 stars because of the difficulty. 5/5 stars.

We do not even like math, but we find this app educational, fun, and relaxing.

We got this game for our son thinking it would be an entertaining way to boost his math skills. Obviously, the math isn't hard for an adult, so when we tried it, it was fast paced and fun. When our son tried it, the timer freaked him out, it stopped being fun, and he didn't want to play anymore. In that regard, we agree with another reviewer that you should be able to slow down/stop the timer depending on player ability. Beyond that, a well thought out, enjoyable game.

Ill change to a 5 star review once this is fixed. Paid $4 to remove ads and it errantly charged us twice. We got twice the potions – but we didnt want that. We clicked the purchase button and it didnt react, then we clicked again and paid and it went through the process twice.

And dont make it easier. We played a few of the first missions and love it. We hope it gets more challenging later in the game. We love thinking fast and we enjoy math and we enjoy wizards. We love it! :D.

This game may be drawn out but if you think itll be easy please swipe. This game is AWESOME!!!!! Theres pressure to be better. If you didnt enjoy math exams as a kid you wont enjoy this game. We for one loved arithmetic as a kid & this game far exceeds our expectations! Get it, just dont complain if you cant do equations on demand back to back. If like many people when youre asked an equation a number pops into your head as an answer and you dont even realize how the hell your brain is faster than you could imagine the numbers then this is certainly for you & if not become faster! GET THIS GAME.

Im ok at math so this is good for us lol our moms gonna be so proud of us :l.

Im in high-school, and even we enjoy this game. Although the problems are simple, the timer makes you think quicker, and helps sharpen your mind to answer problems as quick as possible. Surprisingly, this really helped us in school, and is fun to play, because Ive always enjoyed RPG style games.

Title, please fix soon (f2p btw).

This game is fun especially if your kid is bad at math or needs a math lesson is informing and a fun way to teach math.

Lots of fun! Think math blaster for rpg lovers.

Im super bad at math and this game challenges our brain. The art, gameplay, and progression is great. Keep it up and please add more ways to help improve our math skills.

The game is fine but we cannot pass episode 79 since the app will be closed automatically when we just start the game and attack once. We believe there is a glitch there in this app.

Once a way is created to get rid of the annoying 30 second ads for other games, then we will rate this game at 5 stars.

Honestly love this concept of a game. It keeps you on your toes and sharpens your mind. But we find ourselves in an ad every 2-3 missions/battles. Also the prices of scrolls are kind of high. We mean we get you dont want an instant completion of your game but 30 is a bit small but Ive only played this for a day so we dont really know if there is a free and not grindy way to get a bigger storage for scrolls. Overall good game keep improving.

Im writing this for the developer because we want this game to work. Im a math teacher and going into app development ourselves. A few suggestions to help make this a 5 Star app. Ads Thank you for fixing this issue! Game is MUCH IMPROVED with the ad fixes. Gameplay Timing issue is way improved. We think the game is enjoyable and casual. We would love an education institution app so teachers can assign this as an assignment and/or the ability to send a report to a teacher on what was done Addition/Subtraction/Multiplication/Division with times and problems solved. Play your homework. Kind Regards and Good luck App Developer A fellow aspiring app developer.

Is a different game that give you a chance to review your common math skills, fun.

Ive noticed however much mana we get when we level up its actually subtracted from our mana and sometimes it adds. We think it happens in certain instances but Im fairly certain it subtracts every time we level up.

Title says most of it. You need mana to level up (after gaining enough XP) and you eventually get to a point where you don't have enough mana left to continue leveling up. You accrue it at such a slow rate that you are essentially forced to pay for more if you want to continue to level up. Deleted the app at this point. Would re-download if this was modified.

As an adult who loves games and could use some brushing up on their math skills, this game is pretty cool. However, as others have noted, the timer needs tweaking. 8 seconds from the beginning? Ouch. Talk about forcing split second decisions. Thats something that should start off big and then decrease with character level or map level or enemy or something. But 8 seconds is not a whole lot of time to solve multiple problems, especially for those of us who actually want to get better at mathematics. All it does in the end is create an anxiety thats gets in the way of your ability to solve, which will just become frustrating eventually to most. Definitely dont remove it, we understand its necessity, but it seriously needs tweaking. Especially if you want this game to appeal to a wider audience. Right now it really only feels like a game that can be progressed if youre already good at math. We see that timer becoming excruciatingly annoying during the multiplication and division sequences.

Solving math problems quickly is one skill. Finding an answer from a multiple choice listing that changes order all the time is a wholly different skill set thats at odds with first. Making people do both against a timer is kinda mean. Seriously, the answer options change with every question, so why arent the answers just in numerical order?! If you want us to do timed basic math skills, thats fine by us. What isnt okay is then making it deliberately difficult to find the answer required! In playing just the tutorial levels (most of which we earned 3 stars on) we ran across levels where different problems had the same answer (which made us double check our math the first time it happened), but no level had answers in any predictable order and in those cases the answers moved. All of that meant we took extra time finding an answer because human brains are designed to look for patterns. With the patterns at odds with one another, it ends up simply being discombobulating, frustrating, and not fun. We gave you 3 stars because we do believe that premise and design are good (even the tutorial is designed well), and with some changes the game could be useful and fun, but not as it stands. Deleting.

Love the idea!!…but like the reviewer before us we would say there either needs to be a difficulty level change or given more time to solve problems. With 8 seconds and 3 options for answers its more of a guessing game :(.

Overall, good game. BUT there is one simple bug that should be easy to fix but its absolutely game breaking! We will change to 5 stars when this bug is squashed. Mana is the premium currency in the game. It is important that we rack it up as much as we can through leveling up. However, instead of gaining mana after we level up, we LOSE MANA. Ive been trying to get to 250 mana so we can bring another companion but now its impossible. We had 37 mana. We leveled up to level 14 and shouldve gotten 14 mana to get 51 mana in total but ended up with 23 mana instead…. PLEASE FIX.

We enjoy the game. We like how it pushes you with a time constraint and we enjoy the companions. But we dont like how it requires Mana to level up. It really stalls the progression of the game by forcing you to either spend real money or days trying to get Mana as a drop. It gets difficult to keep progressing without levelling up and this level up constraint just worsens it by not allowing you to even though you have five times the amount of xp needed to level up. In addition with this, it makes saving up to unlock more companion slots impossible! We also dislike that you can only auto loot levels. If you get 3 stars on an area you cant replay it just to challenge yourself.

Starts out well, we enjoyed the arithmetic refresher, but becomes repetitive quickly. Also, since you need mana to level up, it essentially becomes PTP in the later levels. We had already made a purchase to remove the ads and refused to spend more money, so we very slowly grinded through the game over many hours (not because we enjoyed it, but because Im a little OCD and wanted to finish). Then, on the very last round of the last level, the game crashed. We tried restarting the game , our phone, etc., but it always crashed in the same place until we deleted the game out of frustration. Im taking away a star or two just for that. If you insist on playing this sadistic game, focus on the + time power ups (+ attack % after that) and ignore everything else. Better yet, go do math on your own and save some frustration.

We were worried as soon as we saw the free-to-play model and confirmed the trouble by world 3. Started out great, but now levels cost 8 scrolls, multiplying 3 numbers is either too easy or too difficult, and at level 12 with an average 6x attack (with an extra 12% attack boost) enemies take 4-5 rounds to kill. Meaning you have to use a lot of potions which arent cheap and ruin your chances for 3 star. Ill happily pay $5 for a fun math rpg, but Im not going to shovel infinite money to make it fun. Make a stand alone EDU version for schools too! Update 8/14: Castle 2 – Level 79 has crashed 4 times on us now. We get kicked out and lose our scrolls and drops. Also, we were wondering why it was taking us so long to save up 250 potions to buy a 3rd animal slot! We couldnt believe leveling up is a punishment that costs potions! :O Im at level 31 and out of potions. Worried about what happens at 32.

We enjoyed the game up until the 3rd area. Plenty of in game ads to keep it free up until that point. Leveling up costs mana, which was plentiful in the beginning of the game. But now it takes the log in daily bonus just to level up and move on. No thanks.

Devs have clearly considered balance adjustments, especially extending time for levels. Sadly, leveling up, perhaps the most enjoyable mechanic there is, is locked behind a premium currency (mana) assuring that eventually a wall is reached. Given that we are bombarded with ads it leaves the impression that the players of this game will always be the lowest priority when it comes to monetization.

The game is ok, but unlike previous titles there is ads and more ads. Complete a battle and want more loot? Ads. Want to gain abound before combat? Ads. Finish a level? Ads. Some you can choose but the ones you cannot chose is annoying. We wish there was a payment option to remove the ads… We will remove this game and no longer play it as the ads are frustrating.

We like the game and made it to the second boss without paying to play. We watched tons of ads which we are ok with. However, we ran out of potions and cannot afford more without paying to play. Im down to watch more ads, please improve the f2p experience.

Its a fun theme to get you mind going, but holy hell there are way way way to many ads and each one last 20-30 sec long. We dont have the attention span to give to this game because of the ads, sorry.

The idea of the game is fantastic but the logistics are WAY off. Trying to do complicated math problems in a few seconds makes some levels impossible to beat without making in-app purchases. Also, we feel the points system needs tweaking. The more complicated the problem you solve, the better your attack and takes away opponents attack all together.

Energy limit is stupid, game isnt worth that. Am not paying money or watching ad every turn.

This was fun enough to play, but we have no idea if the game has longevity because of the ads. Forced ads are ridiculous (doesnt matter if we can skip, it still interrupts the gameplay). And quite frankly, we would probably pay a flat fee to play without ads. Since there is no ad free option, the game has lost us.

Math isnt our strong suit. We grabbed this game thinking it would help us get better at quickly solving basic math problems. Doesnt start off very slow. Not able to adjust difficulty, timer speed, etc. Definitely not a game our kids will enjoy either. Ill give the game another try if adjustments can be made for people wanting to get better at math and for kids.

Fun game, but in order to level up, you need a resource to level up, "Mana". Unfortunately, the only way to get this Mana is to buy it with cash as an IAP. If you don't, you stop leveling up. EVEN IF YOU DO BUY, you'll need to buy more within a few days. We suspect that in order to beat the game you'll need to spend somewhere around $20-30. Maybe the maker can chime in on the exact amount. We actually bought the mid-tier Mana package, but it ran out in a few hours of play. Extremely annoying.
