Organ Trail: Director’s Cut Reviews

We love Oregon Trail, always have. The game is exactly what it says it is. Oregon Trail with zombies. If you arent a fan of the original, you likely wont be of this one. We however am. Zombies, or any apocalyptic scenario, makes everything better. Only complaint that we have is when attempting to restore purchase. Although we havent dived into the game until now, we are certain that we purchased both expansions on a prior iPhone, but when hitting the Restore Purchase button, we wait and wait for the game to connect, but it doesnt. Not happy about it, but 5 stars regardless.

Our favorite game and best app ever! Extremely unique and we just love it.

Love this game so much, and the complete edition just adds that much more detail and character to the already amazing game.

This game is awesome! It is really cool to try to survive! Multiplayer would be so cool!

We’ve finished the campaign like 10 times, trying to get all characters, cars, tombstones and achievements to 100% the game. It is really fun and we recommend it.

We remember finding this game when we were still in middle school and its stayed on our phone ever since. This game is one of the last few things in the App Store that isnt plagued with scam ads every second. While we love this game with all our heart and know the devs worked on this game for so, so long, we cant help but feel its been kind of left to rot. Honestly, we would happily shell out more money for a DLC if it meant thered be more little side stories, events on the road, maybe even an alternate ending in the game.

We have been playing this game for years and still havent gotten all the achievements unlocked. We rarely give 5 stars.. But this game is amazing.

This game is a ton of fun. Bought it on Steam and here in the App Store. Beat it on both.

The Organ Trail is awesome, we love how the game features routes across the United States. The locations are very accurate too, our favorite is The Ozarks, they have a very nice 8-bit art style. Im still playing this game through 2020! We love everything else in the game too, but our favorite is the traveling!

………. MOAR BRAAAAAAAINS……..

This game is much better than what it appears.

We tend to hate horror and zombie games on account of all the violence and gore and severe lack of story. Organ trail is everything but that! Packed to the brim with dialogue, tips and trivia, morality choices and adventure, the simplistic graphics are both charming and friendly to those on the squeamish side. It’s wickedly funny and clever, and definitely stands out among other zombie survival games. Both true to the original game and unique in its own right, Organ Trail is well worth 5/5 stars.

We love this game! We played it nonstop for months! We recommend it to anyone who played The Oregon Trail while growing up. And even if you didn’t, you should still try this game. Be warned: it’s super addicting!

We bought this game a few months ago just to have some games to play while we conserve data, and the organ trail has been a great way for us to pass time at work. We do wish people would stop complaining about the DLC price though. We mean come on! It’s cheap.

This game is great. Really fun and worth the money and the expansion packs. The new updates make the game 5x more fun but improvement is still available. Maybe gun upgrade? Or more car upgrades? Amor or upgradable characters would be nice. Other than that this is our favorite game we recommend to all our friends!

This spin-off of the Oregon Trail is absolutely fantastic. It is a great strategy game and requires A LOT of planning ahead if you’re going to survive. Many obstacles occur that make the game never get old. We have yet to make it to Washington D.C. But with the love we have for this game, we can do it. The game was worth the $2.99 we spent.

It’s Oregon Trail with Zombies! What the heck are you waiting for?

Very nostalgic. They put a lot of love into this title. Well worth the asking price.

Update: (**) Once again our review is up to 5 stars because of the quick and effective fixes to all the bugs from the previous update! We have our endless expansion again and all the achievements/road events work now. Thank you. Love this game! Can’t wait to see more content added in the future! (: Old Review: () Before the latest update, we had access to endless mode. After the latest update, we no longer have access to endless mode (I have to pay $1.99 to unlock it) AND we lost all our data. All of it. Not to mention the ‘achievements’ are broken and the notifications for them make us unable to view proceedings or graves on the side of the road, choose certain fording options, and mess us up while playing the game. We’re on iPod touch 5th gen. Please fix everything and we’ll give you 5 stars. We do love this game.

The update fixed all the bugs in the game and is playable again! Love the support from the developers for a great game!

This game is amazing, the simplicity of it is what makes this game so great. The only thing that we wish was that you can find a cure for one of your infected members.

We’ve played it so many times but then we deleted it we just downloaded it again and its an awesome game especially when you find the grave that says a joke then we head pops up the ground it scared us to death and then we laughed the whole way back home if we were those people we would just call an Uberand put some weapons on it from the sunroof.

We freaking love this game, so much fun, great time killer, you can play offline, so many twists and turns and many options. 10/10 would buy again.

Major fan of organ trail. Miss playing it. Update for iOS 12 for iPhone X phones!

This game is more expensive than some people are accustomed to. Thats fine, but for perspective, we shelled out three dollars for Organ Trail when we were nine years old. Im now fifteen, and we still re-download it every few months and play through a trip with four of our close friends, just for the sheer joy of it. Bottom line: it pays for itself. Youre gonna be using a long time. Thats why its worth the three bucks, and why Im beside myself with excitement after just having bought the expansions. Our favorite mobile game and one that is unlike any other. A must-have on anybodys phone.

This is our go-to road trip game, the Expansion is well worth it!

Great game, love it to death, but the ending needs to be fixed.

Amazing game and it’s very intriguing.

Our inability to spell "Oregon" was the best thing that ever happened to us. We have spent hours on this game and we have bought the complete edition and the hours have turned to days. Perfect app for whenever.

We just love the game… ‘Nuff said…

We love the art design and gameplay mechanics.

Best game we have played in a while.

We might only have played this game for 2 days , but during that time it was one of the best mobile games we every played and is worth the price. It might be a tiny review but we don’t want to spoil it for you. Epically all the random a counters you can get with your groups. Honestly we give this 5 stars because it the best mobile game on our phone.

We love the game its very fun and cool because you can scavenge you can do many different things we also had it on our devices but the thing that takes away from it is that you kind of have to pay extra to get the full cut so you can get more because we just think its a little weird.

The new update uninstalled our Endless Expansion DLC, and when we try to re-download it, the app brings up a "waiting for response from store" box that loads indefinitely. Please fix. UPDATE: The new update made things worse. Now the game crashes at the home screen every time we try to play. These "fixes" need to be fixed. UPDATE: The game seems to work again now. Thanks for the quick update.

This game is amazing! We have it on PS Vita, PS4, Mac and now iPhone. EXTREMELY addicting. Great throw back to Oregon Trail with lots of nerd references thrown in!

Amazing game love the style and sound effects. Also the dlc makes the game 10 times better then it already was.

Caveat, we have all the expansions. The sheer breadth of content, the quantity of variables for subsequent playthroughs, the surprising level of both visual and gameplay polish for a game going for the C64 era look, being able to play it both in an active and passive manner, the cool, jammy, synthy horror music, the fairly low power draw due in part to the lofi visual aesthetic, and the fact that its essentially a complete experience that doesnt include micro transactions (sans purchasing the two expansions, which are fairly cheap anyway and bring it up to parity with the Steam version), ads, or time and token limited play, we can verifiably call this the finest mobile game in existence. If you play games on mobile and Organ Trail isnt one of them, we implore you to change that immediately.

Is probably the best phone game we’ve ever played. Hands down if you love zombies and wanna travel and try to survive this is for you. Buy it now before this app wont be updated and can no longer be played. We hope they make more games like this. Thank you guys for the memories.

Everything about this game is very well done. For how simple it is, its still expansive on options. We enjoy the occasional humor and we think the images for each location are so good! The music is also very fitting. Big fan:)

We love that this game is like the original but so much better we would recommend to anyone.

This is one of our favorite games ever. No matter how many times we play it, it never fails to keep us content. The soundtrack is absolutely stellar, and it has to be some of the best 8-Bit music we’ve ever heard. Scratch that, some of the best music we’ve ever heard period. The game’s concept makes us all too happy, the characters are great, the trip, everything. We love it so much. Thank you for creating this masterpiece.

We expected an Oregon trail knock off and was very happy to discover how wrong we were. The random encounters can range from funny to sad, the tombstones are always funny, and the variety of minigames kept us entertained throughout the entire experience.

Please make a second one, this ones amazing.

Would recommend to anyone who ever played the original Oregon Trail.

We love this game but what is the point of having other people with you we havent beaten the game yet but the people dont even help you they just sit there and eat your food and so on.
