Dive into Osmos for iPad

** Apple Design Award winner and iPad Game of the Year! **
Enter the Darwinian world of a galactic mote. To survive, absorb smaller organisms and grow—but beware of larger predators. Osmos features unique physics-based play, stellar graphics, and a hypnotic ambient soundtrack. Absorb or be absorbed!

“The ultimate ambient experience” — Gizmodo
“The best iPad game yet.” — IGN

THE CRUX:
you must grow by absorbing smaller motes, but to propel yourself you must eject matter behind you, causing you to shrink. From this delicate balance, Osmos leads the player through floating playgrounds, competitive petri dishes, deep solar systems, and more.

“Named as iPad Game of the Year for a reason, Osmos is a fantastic game. A combination of physics, survival and classic eat em up” — WeDoCode

Hear from the Players – Osmos for iPad Reviews

Find out what gamers are saying about Osmos for iPad:

We cant count the hours we’ve spent with Osmos! We have been wishing for years that theyd come out with a sequel.

Four stars when we bought it, now raised to five just for releasing updates. Ten years and no subscriptions in sight!

If you want a game to help you chill (while being a challenge), this is the one. And the soundtrack (top-notch ambient) is part of the reason. On ALL the other games we have, we turn off the music and sound after about 5 seconds. On this game, sometimes we start it up just so we can hear the music.

This was one of the first games we ever had for our iPad. It is challenging and relaxing at the same time. Still have not finished all of the levels but it doesnt matter. We keep going back to play it again. Osmos is still our favorite!

Perfect for relaxation and quiet time. Definitely a great and unique game. If our kids were young, this would be a game that we would allow them before bedtime.

You will pass enjoyable time in this physics based game. No matter how good you get at it, youll enjoy playing it again. Very relaxing, while also entertaining. Thanks for a good game!

We have had this game for several years and we love it! It is entertaining, challenging, and instructive. And kudos to the developers for not abandoning it as iOS updates have been introduced.

This is definitely the most enjoyable orbital mechanics game that we’ve seen. Its beautiful, fast, stable and fun. We would thoroughly recommend it.

Its old and largely the same as it was upon its creation but its still better than 99% of games out there. Its beautiful and compelling.

We’ve been playing this for many years. We always come back to it. Its a classic, very well done, and fun.

Its very relaxed and also challenging. Lots of fun and Im excited to try out multiplayer mode.

Great game no adds fun strategy.

Great way to get into a Tetris like flow state.

Did well until we got to precision level 7 & 8 of 8. Just could not get past those two levels. Especially 8/8. We kept trying that one for days and could never figure out the right angles in order to catch the Motes. Have to give up unless theres a clue that someone could share with us to help us understand the dynamics that we are missing. All the reviews are raving. We feel so stupid.

Not relaxing. Not working. Poor instructions! Ugh!

This is our favorite game to relax with. It is well worth the price.

We were looking for a game that we could pick and put back down at will, and that at the same time was relaxing. This game certainly does that and more. There are more difficult levels that are more mentally engaging when we decide we want to spend more time, which made the game perfect. We find the earlier levels and arcade modes to be just as soothing when replayed as they were the first time around. Thank you for a beautifully constructed game.

This game is beautiful and compelling in a special way. Im so glad this has been kept updated. Its a classic and a masterpiece.

This game feels as fresh and innovative now as it did when we first played it!

Not enough updates to the game to keep you coming back for more. But the first pass tHrough was extremely enjoyable. Must use with headphones!

This is too hard, and a waste of money. We thought we were purchasing something like Art of Gravity. Not so.

Amazing graphics, realistic physics, and a terrifically unique concept. Note to the developers- a lot of folks like us would pay for more levels. Just sayin….

Good game that keeps our attention and no pay-to-win.

At last the 64 bits update of this beautiful and demanding game. Thank you.

The levels became more challenging, but we still feel relaxed with this game. Very enjoyable for waiting rooms and public transportation.

Extremely entertaining with a great physics system. Also, in the latest update multiplayer is fixed. Before, the odds of connecting to another player were slim to none due to few players. Now, you can play single-player mode while waiting for a multiplayer match, increasing the chances you won’t get bored waiting for a match. Multiply this by everybody, and there are more players playing, so you can actually play multiplayer matches now.

Peaceful, Tranquil, Fluid. We love it! An amazing game full of fun and physics.

Okay, real outer-space, space is still BIG! That hasn’t changed one whit, except for this delightfully ingenious "puzzle" game that pits you, "Brave little mote", against the hulking, goliaths looking to consume you. Your prey/enemies are easy to distinguish: those blue bubbles are FOOD, the Satan’s-eye red ones will devour YOU. The only thing you have going for you is that you’re (most probably) sentient. The most difficult levels are in the adversarial "Sentient", where a rudimentary AI tries to make you lunch, but NOT the way Mom brings you them Hot-Pockets, when you do "real gaming". You propel your way through the levels by ejecting various amounts of your own body by tapping the opposite direction you wish to proceed; the Newtonian physics mainly hold, though they’ve tweaked the inverse-square-law a bit in the "Epicycles" levels, and (or course), nothing is "to scale". But for a fun Zen-game, look no further. Oh, you can slow time to a crawl (handy on the Nematode levels) or flick the slider to make the game-years fly! NERD ALERT: This would be a good "learner game" for grandad when yinz give him an iPad for Xmas. And SELL him the game as a game NOT as a way to get him from calling you for a ride to go to the mall, because since grandma died, all he really has are the three other guys he hangs out with. Chester seems okay, but Emmet is a disaster what with him smoking roll-your-owns while juggling that damned LiQO2 tank. The other, other one, you can never remember his name but you know he’s the one who’s a bit higher on the Kinsey scale than you wanna know. And the music’s a plus too, very MELLOW.

This game is amazing! So many great play modes. Phenomenal and immersive soundtrack. Play for 2 minutes or an hour. Online mode or Bluetooth mode against real people is especially fun!

We got this game when it first came out, and was just mesmerized. We still play it frequently, and although we feel like we’re ridiculously good at it solo, when we use multiplayer and play random people we get blown away sometimes. All in all, it’s a very well done game.

We keep coming back to the Arcade mode because its so enjoyable. Fantastic game.

The music is very medatative, and it’s fun to experiment, especially when we have an advantage or have already won a round, with speed, deflection, gravity, etc. We think it makes our mind sharper.

We’ve been playing this game since it was made available on Android. With each new phone, Osmos was one of the first games we made sure to download. It’s always relaxing, enjoyable, and the music is amazing. We are happy to pay for it again on our first iOS device.

Thoughtful, beautifully rendered, addictive, great music. Buy it!

Unique, entrancing game! And using hypnotic images and soundtrack, you can hypnotize your friends into clucking like a chicken!

Easy to learn, relaxing but challenging at the same time. Must have for iPad users!

All around a greatly amazing game!

Simple. Difficult. Beautiful. Creative. Kudos.

Love it, thanks for the update!

Relaxing and strategic. One of our top 5 all time.

Really glad to see this game get updated. One of our all time favorites on iPad.

So glad that Osmos will work in the future!

This was one of the first games we bought for the original iPad and it has more than stood the test of time. It’s still absorbing after all these years. An Apple "Essentials" for good reason.

One of the all time great iPad games, finally updated so it will keep working into the future. If you haven’t tried this yet, you should give it a shot!

We love that we can randomize the levels giving unlimited game play. This is our favorite iPad game.
