A Glimpse into Pic-a-Pix: Nonogram Color
Paint squares as you solve the puzzle and discover a beautiful pixel-art picture! Each puzzle consists of a blank grid with clues on the left of every row and on the top of every column. The object is to reveal a hidden picture by painting blocks in each row and column so their length and sequence corresponds to the clues.
Pic-a-Pix are exciting logic puzzles that form whimsical pixel-art pictures when solved. Challenging, deductive and artistic, this original Japanese invention offers the ultimate mix of logic, art and fun while providing solvers with many hours of mentally stimulating entertainment.
The game enables zooming the entire puzzle, or just the grid area while keeping the clue-panes locked. Other features include a unique fingertip cursor for playing large puzzles with ease and precision, and a show/hide/lock rulers option helping focus on one row and column at a time.

We’ve done these types of puzzles for more years than we can possibly count but will never do them on paper again. Conceptis has created the perfect picture logic puzzle app. In fact we think its even better playing here than on their desktop website. Bravo.
This is the only logic game we play anymore.. We love it.
The puzzles are good, and available in many levels of difficulty. We like that we can check our solution as we go. The weekly bonus puzzle is disappointingly simple. The number of puzzle packs for sale is very large. For the price, we wish each pack contained more puzzles.

We’ve tried almost every Picross app and this is the best. We’ve bough many of the puzzle packs and they have been fun and interesting to play. Also there are free weekly puzzles if you are just a light puzzle player.
This app is very nicely laid out, and easy to use. We really enjoy the puzzles, and the interface is quite clean and elegant.
UPDATE: The developer’s thoughtful response has earned back the 5th star. However our wish remains. Adding additional palettes, perhaps to specially named groups of puzzles, could certainly retain contrast and solvability, if done with the care typical of this company. ~~~~~~ ORIGINAL REVIEW: we love doing these puzzles. They’re fun, yet encourage you to think, and to be be careful!!! And the implementation and navigation are surprisingly workable. We wouldn’t have thought it possible to create an effective way to do these puzzles without paper and pencil, but they’ve done it. Love ’em!!! …… WISH LIST – we’re tired of the limited color scheme across all the gazillion puzzles that you offer – this company has the best navigation, but additional beautiful colors, shades, and tones should be offered after all these years. Love this game. We’ve purchased many of the bundles and over time have erased them and reworked them. They definitely make your brain work.
Just wish there were even more free puzzles! Although we did just figure out we can erase them and do them over!

We love the interface. Makes it really fun to solve. There are as easy or as challenging puzzles as you choose. The pictures actually look like something when you are done. Love the puzzles! Thank you for hours of entertainment.
We’ve been obsessed with these for yearsfirst in book form, and now in the app. It works great.
And still nothing touches it! We do not do ratings but this one is an old friend. Better than any puzzle app, we’ve used and sampled more than a 2 dozen similar apps. The features and ability to turn them on or off is unrivaled. There are apps with free puzzles but in this case you get what you pay for. Only thing Id change that would get us to use it more is to have a setting to make it compatible with a pencil or stylus. Its needed.
We’ve been enjoying these logic puzzles for several years. Previously we played on a desk top now we use our tablet normally in bed. We like the various levels available and dont mind paying since they are reasonably priced. The easy levels are perfect for a few minutes in the middle of the night when we need help nodding off.

Is an excellent game if u love these types of puzzles. We love doing the weekly puzzle. We also bought a few extra packs to keep us entertained, for only a few dollars more while we wait for the new weekly puzzle to arrive. They recently added another 75 puzzles for free.
Using pixels to create mystery pictures fascinates us, and this app handles it well. We like it a lot!
We play almost every day, ranging from smaller puzzles that can be done while watching tv to the larger and more challenging puzzles. They are great!

Edit: maybe its coincidence, maybe they listened; either way, the devs have started adding harder puzzles to the weekly freebies, so thanks! We’ve tried so many nonogram apps, and this one is by far the best. So many useful features. Our one gripe is the wait between puzzles packs being released (and to a lesser extent, the cost for those packs). After playing for a while, the only satisfying games to play are the difficult ones. Only easy puzzles are included in the free to play puzzles that are updated every week, so we’re forced to wait weeks at a time for a new "tough challenge pack" to be dropped.
We wish there were more there so much fun. Some we cant see very well when there done. But most we can. Im addicted to these puzzles.

We’ve been solving conceptis puzzles for years on our laptop, and Im thrilled to be able to play on our iPad. Pic-a-pix is our favorite, but Ill be looking for our other favorites too.
Puzzles are fun. Turning on the arrow hints helps a lot. Need more puzzle packs.
Free puzzles are very easy though.
This is the best picross, pic a pix app out there by far. We would have given it a five but the games are just too expensive! Please offer cheaper packages – you’d make up the price differential in volume!
We like this game but we do wish that we had more free puzzles.
Most puzzles cost money so we wait a week for one new free one to come out. If we deleted the app, we wouldnt really notice it was gone. We like the color puzzles.
Their most recent weekly puzzle showed an offensive picture – a picture of Hitler. Its very obvious – its a picture of a man with what looks like a small classic mustache. We contacted them to see if they would remove it or at least address it and they never responded. We are disappointed and will be deleting the app. We will also be reporting to Apple.
We’ve said no at least 11x now. This game, and all other Conceptis games WILL NOT STOP asking for ratings. They claim it happens AuToMaTiCaLLy every time they update the app, but we have HUNDREDS of other apps on our phone, many that update EVERY SINGLE WEEK, and literally NONE of them do this. Please, devs, Im begging. Make it stop. Edit: 12+ times now. Edit 2: 13+ times now. Edit 3: 14+ times now. Edit: 15+ times now.
Fun to solve the logic and create a picture.
We started playing this puzzle game back when you had to use a laptop, before smartphones. And we gotta say they kept it true to the original in this phone app! We actually like the smaller puzzles on the phone, and still go to our computer for more challenging large puzzles. Its great they offer free puzzles each week.
