What Makes Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Stand Out
The original Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- included many of the SaGa series trademark elements, such as the Glimmer and Combo mechanics and was considered to be the epitome of the series when it first released.
The free scenario system that lets you create your own storyline remains at the core of the game, letting you select one of eight protagonists with completely different origins and backstories, then set off on a unique journey.
This remastered edition has evolved in all areas, featuring upgraded HD graphics and numerous enhancements to improve playability. This makes it highly recommended for both fans of the original and newcomers to the SaGa series.
■Story
The gods created man and man created stories.
The primordial creator Marda brought forth the land of Mardias.
In ages past a mighty battle rocked this land, when Elore, the king of the gods, fought three malicious deities: Death, Saruin and Schirach.
After a long and drawn-out struggle, Death and Schirach were sealed away and rendered powerless, with the final deity Saruin also trapped through the power of the Fatestones and the noble sacrifice of the hero Mirsa.
Now 1000 years have passed since that titanic battle.
The Fatestones lie scattered across the world and the gods of evil are resurgent once more.
Eight heroes set off on their own journeys, as if guided by the hand of fate.
What tales will these adventurers weave across the vast tapestry of Mardias?
You are the only one who can decide!

We played this on PS2 its the same amazing game we grew up on they definitely need to make a second because Ive beaten this one like 10 times.
This game is nostalgic of the Nintendo 64 era graphics wise. Reminds us of ocarina of time visually. The story is 10/10. The battle mechanics are 10/10. This game is a masterpiece probably on any platform. On IOS, so far the controls are a tad strange but Ill take it. Good job devs. This game is 10/10 stars.
Amazing game. Grew up on final fantasy games and these romancing saga games are a breath of fresh air. Please keep bringing more saga games. This is our favorite so far.
Okay so the positives. This game looks and sounds great. The voice acting is good and the artwork is incredible. However there is a huge factor of micro management that goes into this game. If this is your first time playing this game, this game tends to give you information in towns as you progress. Thats not the issue; the issue is is that you have to spend so much time reading so much information on how to learn magic, gain field skills, how to train different job classes and so forth that it is a lot to take in at once. This is one of those cases where Id much rather play the Super Famicom original instead of the remake.
We have been playing square games since final fantasy one came out, and have played every single FF game excluding MMORPG as they came out. We have never played a game where you were actually punished and stopped from training any characters. Not at all a format we enjoyed. The quality of the game as an app is excellent; but this is no the game for us as a fan of almost all other square games.
