Description

  • Q: Are these real photographs?
  • A: Yes they are.
  • Q: Is this a real room?
  • A: Yes.
  • Q: So, this is another escape room game, right?
  • A: I’ll tell you later.
  • Q: Do I need to know how to play chess?
  • A: No.
  • Q: I hate music puzzles. Are there any music puzzles?
  • A: No. I hate them too.
  • Q: Are the puzzles too hard?
  • A: I believe they’re fair.
  • Q: Are the puzzles too easy?
  • A: I certainly hope not.
  • Q: So, is there any story, or just puzzles?
  • A: You bet there is!
  • Q: Tell me about it.
  • A: I don’t want to ruin too much. So let’s just say how it begins:

You wake up in the middle of the night and you find yourself in your room, but everything feels out of place. It seems like your brother locked your computer, messed with your stuff and left clues all around to help you decrypt the password. But why would he do that? And why does your room seems so weird?

  • Q: Cool! Is this a long game?
  • A: Longer than a Game of Thrones episode, but shorter than Fellowship of the Ring (the extended edition).
  • Q: So, this is another escape room game, right?
  • A: Yes and no. Yes in a way that it kind of is. No in a way that it’s a remastered version of the same-titled game released back in 2011 for PCs, before “escape rooms” were a thing. This version though is so much cooler. Let me tell you all about it..
  • Q: No need to! Alright then, anything else you want to share?
  • A: Sure. I hope you’ll enjoy playing Some Peace Of Mind, as much as I enjoyed making it!

Some Peace Of Mind (Full) Reviews

Loved Game, just wished that the game was longer or that there were more of them!!

Finding myself stuck with no further moves, while still having the flashlight, a coin, and the battery grouping, it seemed worth one last attempt to see if we could make sense of, seemingly, nowhere to play those, along with the equally odd (i.e., unfamiliar) images in the password formula, just what the chessboard was all about everything shown matters and how to handle the candle, the ring, the DVD, and the DVD player. It was worth the attempt, as surprisingly, one-by-one, progress was made. Truly, the latter three were odd, while new clues, then opened, seemingly, out of nowhere. Yes, you will retain unplayed pieces, which seemed odd. And yes, one can even figure out what each of the symbols mean in the password clue(s), along with using the images on a calculator for some of the computations, too. Had to do several takes before getting it right, but even then, in the end the philosophical messages given were odd. Grateful we got it (a senior lady) who likes puzzles many might not? For sure, we wonder if even paying for hints would have helped. Being grateful gameplay hadnt taken longer, too, we wondered if others would enjoy the challenge? Sound effects are the best feature. Navigation is okay. Visual effects, while photos, werent realistic, being so dark. Logic isnt particularly intuitive? And computer and computational symbols might not be immediately evident to all, either. No door opened. So no real escape room feeling with everyday objects used in the typical sense. All-in-all, being odd and a bit (to me) illogical middle of the road rating of 3 stars. Thank you for the free gameplay! PS. Venturing to Facebook, midway, before plodding thru the last time, we were surprised to see there was a link for another version which appeared almost exactly the same. Downloading it, it seemed almost identical? Hints, still, seemed at be sold in a lot, for the same $.99.

This is an awesome game! The most realistic escape room game we’ve played! Our only complaint is the objects you pick up are so tiny you can’t tell what they are! It would be extremely useful if you could zoom in on them! What we highly suggest is taking screenshots, leaving the game and zooming in on the photos, or enable magnifying in accessibility settings. We played it on an iPhone, so maybe it would be better on an iPad.

Without the hints its almost impossible.

Its good, with some interesting puzzles, but it is rather short – it took maybe 30 minutes to finish.

This is a neat game. We keep having a piece skip on us and we have to restart. You also have to pay for hints. Disappointing.

We really wanted to like this game. But its frustrating when the unlock hints button doesnt work and you dont have the option of watching ads for hints either. Been stuck for a week and will probably uninstall.

The hints cost extra and they arent tailored to where you are stuck. Pretty boring escape game and disappointing visuals.

We would love to see an entire series of this game.

The storyline for this game is amazing and it feels like your actually in a room makes the game so much better.

Really enjoyed this game. The puzzles where fun and some a bit more challenging than others. Would love to see more from the dev.

Well done, really spoke to the guitarist/fantasy reader/mystic/point and click adventure game addict in us : ) we are on the same team!

Assuming this might be based off your actual living situation and interest. We’ve got the same amp, nearly the same guitar. Just about all the same books and DVDs. Most uncanny was nearly the same miscellaneous drawer with the same random collection of stuff. Looks like you might also sleep on a couch or futon as well. But wheres the cat?? Im not quite through the puzzle just yet though. Good times. Cheers.

This started out as a really great game until we just couldn’t find any clues. This is the first game of this type we tried, mainly because it had no 1 star reviews (which always means a criticism, no customer support or just a bad app not worth keeping). We like the way you navigate the cool looking screens, by pinching to go back or swiping to go forward. After tapping all over the screen and not having a knack how to find clues, we gave up. BUT, the game deserves a try if you are good at these.

Enjoy a good puzzle game. Not every puzzle/ clues was obvious but it was still really good. We even contacted the developers and they were quick to respond. It was a nice experience and would play another game from them.

This is an interesting escape room type of adventure game but some of the puzzles, like the password are just too difficult for us to figure out even with hints. Wish there was a walkthrough somewhere for assistance. Nice game, but its difficult.

Good music to set the game, challenging. Need more hints.

This is a beautiful, moody, original game with interesting and unique puzzles and lots of surprising and interesting things to discover. We thoroughly enjoyed being immersed in its world. It definitely takes some thought and patience, and each success is so satisfying. This is not your run-of-the-mill escape game but more a work of art with great puzzles. Not for the beginner escape artist, we found the difficulty level pretty challenging but nothing that couldnt be figured out with some time and focus and exploration. Try everything and look closely. Thank you, dev. We hope you make more!

Lots of reminders of the past in here… And a cool story and good puzzle. Generally not too hard or too easy. We got stuck at one point and ended up emailing the developer through the game website, who was very quick to reply and give us the next step.

(Note: we ran into a glitch first time we played, but started over and had no problems.) This is one of those games where you wake up in a room and have no idea whats going on, like good, ol fashioned room escape games do. The sense of discovery, little surprises to delight some of us old farts, and some original music played by the developer add to the fun. Im sometimes daunted by games with puzzles involving electronic equipment we simply dont use it enough to know what does what. But we were able to figure those out by following the verbal cues. Good job on this little remake. PS Dont forget the square root!

Found this game by chance and gave it a shot. Simple UI and challenging puzzles. You really have to go back and explore every area in a scene. Best way to describe it is sometimes youre so close to a problem, you sometimes need to back up and pretend you werent there before and explore again. Hoping for more from this developer!

Im a huge fan of escape games and this is a great one! Difficult, but not to the point you cant figure it out. We hope to see other games from this developer.

Could use some hints. This is a fun game.
