Great controller support, but alright touchscreen. To play well with touchscreen, you need to use the SP and AB buttons, and its not made very clear that you can use desperation moved by touching the healthbar.
Is there support for bluetooth controller.
The game is UNPLAYABLE. Buttons are small, the screen is small, and the controls are unresponsive. Ive requested a refund multiple times, everytime we were DENIED. Sure KOF is a good game series, but the mobile ports are TERRIBLE. Until these issues will get fixed, which is completely unlikely because the mobile ports are neglected. DONT buy it. We hop we saved people 3 bucks. Donate it to cancer or something.

No se pueden acomodar los botones en eI iphone 12 pro, se quedan sin donde acomodarlos a l gusto de uno.

This is a relly good port but controls sometimes ruin it.
Kof 98 need an update to ios 13.4 because it doesnt work good everything disordered.
We love The King of Fighters. We wish you guys could add more game into the IOS. Just keep it the way it is. If you are able to give us the whole Orochi Saga and Nests Saga and Ash Saga that be nice. Id be willing to pay.

We want to start by saying thank you to snk,and dot emu for porting this game to iOS. It was a dream come true! KOF 98 is a team fighting game originally from Japan the game contains a large roster consisting of 38 playable all of which are available to play as from the start which means no in app purchases to ruin the experience the game has a very reasonable price tag of $2.99 Which for a solid fighting game is totally worth it. So without further ado let's get into the details… GAMEPLAY… The core aspect of the game Is pretty simple you create a team of three fighters from the massive roster and then you must defeat a total of nine teams and then a boss. Each character is very unique and has their own set of moves to use. The way a match works is you select the order in which your characters will fight after knocking out an opponent their next character comes into play this process continues until one team has been defeated if your team wins you continue on to the next fight. The fighting mechanics are every well balanced and the final boss is very tuff. We suggest you experiment with different teams and see which works best for you. GRAPHICS… As you can probably tell from the screen shots the graphics are awesome they have that great retro feel to them that only arcade games can give you. There are several great looking stages, our favorite being Tokyo,you get to fight under this bridge and there are all these cars zooming by and it looks awesome. CONTROLS… The on Screen buttons can be a little hard to get used to as they partially block the screen a little,however this mobile version of the game also has some great features to it as well. It includes the option to have the original 4 button layout or a new 6 button layout. However the best feature is the SP. Button which allows you to quickly and easily pull off special moves. Super moves can be pulled easily as well with just the touch of a life bar. This version has both pros and cons to the controls however the cons are very small and shouldn't ruin the experience. Final thoughts… Overall KOF 98 is great fighting game for a very low price. We strongly suggest this game to anyone who is a fan of fighting games,or arcade games. We hope this review helped you. Great game, that while not displayed full screen on our iPhone X, is one of the best fighting games you can buy for $2.99.
Controls are fine for iphone 7 at least. People complaining are most likely iphone 10 or higher. Great game, but wish there were more modes to play. Control editing is a little finicky but it gets the job done. Multiplayer could use a little work (goes through game center).
Controllers are not adapted to the new iOS and wont let people edit or customize need fixing pretty soon both on kof 97 and kof 98.
The game has a bug in ios 14.1 the controls are too big on the iphone 12 screen.
Can yall please fix the controls they are bunch up together.
The game is the best in our opinion! Its just that the controls are now impossible to edit in the recient IOS 13.1.2 update… Please we would like for this to get fixed.

The controls are not adaptable to the new IOS system and you cant even edit them. They turned out to be too big after the system update and takes up to half of the screen. Hope this could be fixed soon.

Theres a bug where some characters are unable to perform desperation moves when we tap on their health bar.
We cant play the game cause the controls wont let us switch them around at all and the buttons are super huge and right on top of each other.

We used to love this game when we played it on our old phone, we have the newest iPhone now and the joystick takes up the whole screen, you cant move it and the buttons are so out of place its quite literally unplayable. Please fix this because we really like the game we just wish this wasnt an issue.
You need to fix the problem with the controls in the new Sistem.

Welp, its been how long and the game is still outdated by its controls? We were excited to have this on our phone as we have 2002 and that emulations controls are superb compared to this garbage, smh 2.99 is nothing but its still a rip off.
They have to fix the button control adjustment to be able to set up the controls on our screen . We cant even adjust or move around the buttons, we have a iPhone 12 Pro Max please fix.
