Community Insight:
We like these old style adventure games where you get to discover many scenes and travel back and forth to accomplish tasks. Part of the fun is remembering where something was. Much more challenging than simple linear puzzle games. This lasted a long time for us. We used the hints a few times. Graphics were beautiful and game play was smooth and responsive. We played this years ago and its just as enjoyable on our new iPad Pro.
We love all these games, but this one in particular. It has many, many beautiful screens, each of them with one, two, three hidden things to do And a few of the screens are there just for the beauty of it. The green text describing interactive objects important to the story is also a nice clue. Tapping around is not punished, which is also nice. And we must confess that we loved the ending, which does explain a lot of what is really happening. We would definitely recommend this game to anyone who loves to search for clues while enjoying beautifully drawn (or rendered?) screens. We would like to send the developers our congratulations for creating this extraordinary game.
Great game. We just wish we could have our own audio keep playing in the background when we open the app.
We wound up playing this one at the same time we were working on the last chapter of Meridian 157. Such a contrast in design effectiveness. "Lost Fountain" is one of those games that throws many obstacles at you at once as you traverse the various worlds and it takes too much time and effort going back and forth to solve puzzles and accumulate the necessary items to progress. The outline of the story is somewhat vague and not all that compelling, although the ending has a neat twist but fails to make up for everything leading up to it. We've found some of the other Media City games (Crimson Manor) to be more focused and rewarding to play than this one.
We always love games from this developer. Engaging and addicting. Cant wait for more.
This is a great game, although a bit long. Has a great storyline. Didn't like the ending much but still give it 5 stars.
Great game to get lost in (literally & often).
We loved this game! Plenty of adventure and some puzzles along the way. Tough trying to figure out what to do next, but that's part of the fun. Good story with a great ending too.
Very clever puzzles. Great story. Brilliant ending.
We have played many of these point and click adventure games. This one is by far the best. Incredible story, great puzzles, and great ending! Worth Every Penny! Our favorite game on the App Store.
Just the right level of complexity and challenge to keep us engaged. Like that there are hints if needed, but doable without them. Well done.
It's challenging, which we like in a point and click game, but not too frustrating. Side note: we're learning Spanish so we're playing en espaol and we noticed in the step-by-step help, some of the paragraphs overlap each other, making it very hard to read. D: we haven't seen the help section in English (or other languages), but we're pretty sure the paragraphs are meant to fit perfectly under the sliding paper images that cover the text one by one. But it's an eyesore in Spanish. Just fyi.
Please do more of these wonderful addicting games.
MediaCity games are quite good. They work well, they are challenging and the graphics are beautiful! Interaction works well, too. Not a falter! Very clever. There are similarities in the games but two are free and the others are .99, well worth the time and investment. Highly recommend!!! Bravo.
We've played a lot of these types of games, the point and click adventures. This is the best one we've ever played so far. Hours of legitimate enjoyment. The puzzles are not too difficult, as the game is very linear, but they are not easy, some puzzles are tough but there's walk throughs online if you get stuck. The story is fun and intriguing as well. If we were to define the genre, we would use this game as an example. 5/5.
This game presents a lot of diverse scenes and nice puzzle challenges. It has a really clever ending which makes this one of the best storylines in gaming apps in our opinion. Highly recommend this game.
We really enjoyed this game. The puzzles were fun without being overly challenging. The hardest puzzle was the tile sliding puzzle, which you can thankfully skip. However we kept at it and eventually solved it. We were disappointed by the ending and the text gets in the way sometimes. Overall, we would recommend this game.
Its a really good game, its just the gameplay is so confusing and most of the clues just make no sense. We had to watch tutorials to get us through it. But overall its good.
Ive played all the Mediacity titles in this series, and this was by far the best. The world is sprawling, the puzzles intuitive (but not easy) and creative (but not far-fetched), and the solutions satisfying. Buy the bundle of all four games and play them. You wont be disappointed.
We really thought "cooper" looked like a little dog figurine and smashing it with a sledgehammer is just plain mean! Dev should probably fix the spelling error.
This is a very well-made point/tap adventure in the "find items and figure out where to use them" style. The puzzles are suitably challenging and the artwork is excellent. The hint system appears to be broken, but frankly we didn't need it. When we got stuck we eventually sorted it out. Recommended.
An enjoyable game with a great twist.
We loved everything about this game, especially the many mini puzzles that were challenging yet doable. However, one feature made it more frustrating than fun….the number of scenes that look so similar and the lack of a useable map to click and relocate. It is a constant maze of going places to place, all of which look very similar and we spent more time trying to find what we knew was there than we did playing the games. There is a map, but you cant click on it to get there. That would make it spectacular. Still we do recommend the game, and the price is well worth it.
There was a lot of the game we missed since we gave up pretty early. We do need hints when we get stuck and that is what stopped us. Hints were confusing since they depended upon where you were standing to give you differing clues. Map was also confusing, since it was in 5 parts that should have connected, but did not. Being able to use the map to move to that map point would have helped, but that was not available. Those two points turned this from a puzzle to solve into a maze where you spend so much time moving back and forth you forget what you went for.
We loved every second. Beautifully unique, and we love putting our thinking cap on instead of merely playing. To us, it makes the game even that more fun. Please make tons more.
Update: As we wipe the egg off our face and try to swallow this tough crow, we apologize. This is a Great game, it's well done and beautiful. It is well worth the money and data and time. You will enjoy it. Thank you very much.
Very well done…love the ending.
Very fun and just hard enough to keep interested but not too hard to be frustrating. Highly recommend.
This is a very good escape-type game that will keep you happily occupied for some time. It has a good many layers to it, interesting puzzles, and a good hint system. You'll be glad you played.
You will enjoy the graphics and puzzles in this game and lose yourself in the fun. Good value and very entertaining.
If you like tough puzzles, lots of inventory, high difficulty and takes a while to finish, this is a great game.
EXCELLENT , from A / Z , would love to play more like this one.
Loved it. We're not super fast but this was worth every nickel. Intriguing with a little difficulty sometimes. Took us awhile to figure out the help but it was so fun. We'd buy another from this designer.
This game is set in a lovely environment of ancient, overgrown and mossy temples, waterways, hidden passages and waterfalls. We spent over 2 days in this beautiful atmosphere. It's a standard point and click from scene to scene, with some moderate animation here and there to give he scenes some life. Lots of detail in each scene which is a treat for the eyes. There are hints available if needed, and some of the puzzles come without any clues so you might need them, just don't give up too soon because all the puzzles are solvable with a bit of thought and maybe some trial and error. There is a notebook feature that automatically captures some clues for you. There is also a map in case you want the orientation, but once you've poked around a bit, you won't need it ( although the area covered feels vast!) Most of the tasks are logically solved with the most logical item you have in inventory, but there are a few instances, as in most of these games, where an item you already have would probably have worked just as well as the item you haven't found yet (like knife versus arrow when he game calls for something sharp and pointy.) And some items you use more than once. This game just seemed to go on and on with new passages and new areas opening up all the time. There are a few sound effects like dripping water, which are nice ambience, and the background music is tranquil and not at all annoying. This is a relaxing and non-timed game with a mild level of difficulty, but it's not easy, per se. You won't get too frustrated, but you also won't want to give up when you reach a bit of an impasse. We will buy more games from this developer. Thank you, developers, for a wonderful experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed this game from uncertain and at times frustrating start to ironic and awesome ending! Well worth our time. Nice diversion from life's stressors.
This is truly a game worth playing. In addition to a variety of interesting scenes that range from rustic to lush and serene, there are plenty of puzzles to discover and solve. We wish there were a lot more like this.
Easy navigation, neat puzzles, not so hard it is impossible. Very enjoyable game.
We don't know why this game hasn't gotten way more credit! Such a fun puzzle game.
Excelente, tanto os enigmas quanto esteticamente. Incrvel como pode custar to barato algo to sofisticado. Impossvel percorrer tudo sem ajuda e por isso mesmo timo. Recomendo fortemente para quem gostou de The Room.
Continually fun, challenging, and intriguing all the way through.
Great point and click game. We need more like this. Great story, nice graphics, challenging puzzles, and terrific overall gameplay. We hope this developer makes more soon.
Some of the puzzles were tough. A few times we needed the hints to figure out what to do next. It took many hours to complete the game. We can't wait for the next game. We highly recommend Media City games.
This game is better than other escape games. It is very detailed and really makes you think. We love all three games they have made. We want more.
We really enjoyed this game. The graphics were superb. The music was calming although it got annoying after while. The puzzles were very challenging. The pipe puzzles made no sense and we had to cheat to get past it. Overall outstanding game and look forward to more.
Loved this game. Looking forward to more.
Still we would love to see a sequel to this and Alice, keep up the great work.
All around fun, awesome! Please make more.
We're a big media city fan. We enjoyed Mystery of Crimson Manor. We absolutely loved Alice Trapped in Wonderland. We check every so often for a new game from them and was ecstatic to see this show up! Fantastic game, great layout and puzzles, clever ending! The most involved escape game we've ever played. Can't wait to see what follows.
Amazing game. Give it a try. You will not regret it. Keep them coming. Also recommend "The Lost City".
Excellent game. One of the best point and click games.
