We been playing this game and all of a sudden we get to a point we must pay in order to continue to play the game dont waste your time playing if you dont have $10 to spend on the game.
Great game. We purchased the hints component and enjoyed it until we hit the hint: Insert the silver coin in the slot machine in the attic and get a green coin. We Inserted the silver coin but got no green coin! Thereafter, that was the only hint we received at any point in the game. We kept yelling, we inserted the silver coin! We eventually had to reset the game, but didnt feel like slogging through the whole thing again. A very dissatisfying end to what otherwise was a really enjoyable game.
We loved the game until it came to the part where you cant get any further without paying $4.99 so if the price in $4.99 say so up front and we would have paid it but wait until someone is loving the game and then charge is an awful thing to do to people.
You cant get to the door knockers without paying for their hints and skips. If you dont pay, you cant finish the game.
Great game, have to pay to beat. Wasted an hour of our time.
Dont waste your time. You just get into game only to get just outside the manor and you have to pay $4.99 to get into the manor . No pay means end of game. Not paying your ransom money. Deleting game. Bad as scammers.
We bought the game and beat it under an hour. Not worth the money spent and if we could get a refund we would. So short and we would play the next one but we refuse to. Overly expensive for such a short gameplay.
So it gets to a point where you have to purchase hints & skips before you can continue to play. Was doing just fine without them so this is just a way to make you pay for the game smh.
Oh for goodness sake – just charge $4.99 for your dang app instead of trying to trick players into spending money by giving them no choice but to pay part way into the game. This is an insulting and dishonest approach. Ugh.

The game was awesome until the door knocker puzzle. It then said we had to pay 4.99 to continue with the game. It was listed in the Apple Ap store as a free game. Well it really isn't. That is some shady stuff. It boarders on false advertisement.
This game has challenging puzzles to solve – we wont spoil you but one of the puzzles is the toughest to solve (we almost gave up but we did it). Worth to play.
This game is really, truly great! This is our favorite mystery game to play. We love the ghosts and all the details. Ive played it so many times that we can beat it in like 5 minutes! This is the best free mystery game that Ive played.
We love it and we are the best at it.
The game itself is interesting with good graphics and a pretty easy interface. Each part to the maze is interconnected with clues and tools that you'll need in a different section so it all keeps you engaged and alert. The notebook is incredibly helpful so you don't have to go back through the maze each time you need a refresher on one of those past clues. What we don't like, is that you become relatively invested in the story and collect the clues and tools only to be kept out of the main mansion and therefore must be kept in suspense (though the outcome of the story is pretty predictable even without finishing it) unless you pay to continue playing. We're not a fan of games that get you started with a storyline only to trick you into paying to conclude. We'll stick with Haiku games and their stories, graphics, and mystery without being tricked into shelling out for anything more than a teaser.
We have tried to play this game for a few days now, but cannot get past the front doors of the mansion, AND we paid to have the rest of the game unlocked, BUT no we still cannot get the doors open. Can you fix or refund our money. We are not happy at this time. We also started the game all over again, but still nothing. PLEASE help. UPDATE: we guess you developers dont answer bad reviews or problems that your customers have, so we are going to delete this app today. Sorry. And please may we get our money back. Thank you in advance.
We just now bought this game in a bundle package. Now Im getting charged to buy the complete game. What the heck is going on? We pay for the bundle $4.99 and now Im getting charged $1.99 to complete one of the games. Ridiculous! No wonder there was a class action lawsuit against Apple years ago. Starting again.
How do we restore our purchases for your games? We had an Android and our daughter bought us an IPhone, we keep trying to restore our full purchase and it keeps telling us we have to pay $1.99. Is that true, because if so then Ill leave it alone Ive already paid and played all your games. We are not paying again to play something we know. We just like your games thats why we are trying to download it again. Thank you for your help or the advice you give us. Okay we will admit that starting this game we were left a bit disappointed as it didnt have the artistic quality, voiceovers, characters, cut scenes that many of the better Big Fish or our favorite BN-Five games did, but what it lack in those areas it made up for in puzzle solving challenges. This game does not let you skip anything and it forces you to really think things through to solve puzzle. That really made you think and not jus react.. Almost a mini IQ test. All in all it as very reward. No hints, no skipping, and no hidden object crap. A true point and click game. Im going on to play the next in the series. Well, well worth the price.

This was an awesome game lots of good puzzles to keep you guessing but not so hard you get frustrated.
Puzzles start off easy, get a little harder but not overwhelming difficult so one doesn't wind up overly frustrated. Great graphics. Interesting story line that isn't sophomoric. We thoroughly enjoyed this one.
At first, we had some doubts about this game, but after few hours of playing we were fully into it! If you like horror films – the atmosphere will suit you perfectly.
Last time we were passionate about the game like that, when l've played Slander Man- one of the best game in this genre. Navigation Is clear. Once we tried we don't want to stop playing. We sent this game to a few our friends and now we are playing together.
With confidence we should say that we are a professional puzzle game player. We went through the most similar famous adventure games, but it stuck in our heart. Of course, it's bad that the full version is paid, but what nowadays is free? Right, nothing. We should pay for the quality and for the work of the authors, 'cause designers did a great job! Everything's extremely realistic: every tiny draw detail, every creak and step conveys a picture. We really appreciate the labor of Midnight Adventure LLC crew and want them to continue in the same way. Hope we will see the next game as soon as possible.
We're delighted this game. Also we're so surprised by the quality and realism of graphics. When we play it, we completely feel a terrible, but an exciting atmosphere that we really like. There are many unexpected sharp moments, monsters and ghosts. It reminds us good and professionally shot horror film. Now we can't stop playing until we've finished it. We advise to install this game those people who like to tickle their nerves and have a fun time.
From the first sight we fell in love with this mystery. We liked its photos, but didn't expected it will enthrall us so much. The story of the main character makes you step in his shoes. We want to finish the game and find the truth about his past and his family story, but didn't want it to be ended in the same time. Talking about graphics: every detail is realistic; characters are interesting. Cut a long story short, even if you are not a gamer, you'll love it. We promise).

It is a great puzzle game. Keeps you motivated to play to the end. It doesn't get you bored. Hard to put it down once you get started. A good storyline, the amnesia strike and forgotten memories, the creepy undead, challenging ridles – altogether make a captivating adventure. The graphics give a realistic feel about the environment too.
Amazing Atmospheric Adventure. These three words can make the best description of this game. Click and point game is something new for us as genre but it is charming. You have some time to decide to rest or to make a cup of coffee but game is still dynamic. We think we will try to find something like this one later.

So if you want to spend a couple of hours with a insteresting game it's for you. But this is even good, because this game is not will be bore you. Really good game with nice graphic and plot. It is not hard enough but it is very interesting. And if you think that it is scary because there are ghosts and darkness, its not. So you can even let play it to your children. Play for fun.
