Needs updating for 2 player- crashes occasionally. Have been playing this for years. Well designed.
The computer can open after the deal 70 percent of the time. Its frustrating to always start out behind. When the computer cant meld first time, it rarely goes more the 5 turns before it can open. We just finished a game that we had 6 doubles and computer had none. We kept track of all of computers play. This is getting more lopsided than ever before. We used to love playing this, but it’s getting more uneven than ever. We may give it up and not recommend it to friends anymore. Looking at other reviews, there aren’t any new ones. Hmmmm, could it be it’s not as great as it could be. Very frustrating.
We love this game and have been playing it for several years. But….. We think the computer figures out when you are getting better at the game and makes it far more difficult to win. We were winning over 62% of the time and now suddenly its almost impossible to win at all. The computer can, of course, see every possible move to make involving switching multiple cards on the table in one play. We have discovered that now that we can make 3 or 4 switches in one play and was winning a good bit of the time, the game has now started making 5, 6 or even 7 or more switches in a play, more than a human player can likely figure out. Is it possible to set a degree of difficulty in the game to feel that one has a fighting chance?
We’ve played this for a long time. Now when we try to play, the game is 1/3 of the screen and when a tile is selected, the whole screen jumps around.
Whose idea was this. All the other reviews hit the nail on the head. Weve paid for this game. You are now allowing the computer to win most of the games. Almost all the games start out with the computer having 14 tiles to place first, the computer almost always puts up 10, you are stuck with doubles. Not a fair gamenot fun any more. Thinking Ill look for something else.
We have been playing this game for a good 5 or 6 years. We never get tired of it. Computer is a great opponent. It is one of very few games we regret paying for. If your a fan of rummy type games you’ll love it.
We can’t think of what to add that would make this better… Perhaps ability to play (anonymous) others via the net?
Just a great game to pick up any time.
Only problem we found was the rules were different from Rummikub. We thought you had to replace the wild card in a run with the number it was representing. We also thought you could use use the wild card in your lay down. It is very hard to beat but a lot of fun to play. It can become very addictive. Great game but computer could move a little slower so we could follow what it is doing. Maybe ability to set that speed to what you want, slow or fast. Love it!!
We love puzzle games and this one is perfect in every way, from the graphics to the gameplay. We’ve played it literally hundreds times now with no problems and never tire of it. We win about 83% of the time and that’s fine with us.
The only problem is the computer wins 9 out of 10 games.
Our initial move of matching 7,8,9 as a proper stand alone. Plus adding a matching and proper 2&3 to an existing set. Plus a correct fourth 7 to an existing run of 7’s will not be accepted as an initial move. Total value of 7,8,9,2,3,7 is 36 and no jokers were used. We think you have ruined the game? Please explain how we are wrong.
Us and wife play each other every day now we no longer can because of the last up date go back to where it was or up date again. The 5 stare was base the it work a week ago.
Our wife and we played this multiplayer constantly between iPads, never loosing connection and enjoying the gameplay. Now we can no longer connect as before. The iPads ‘see’ each other, but trying to connect puts us in an endless loop of connecting and lost connections. Please fix!!! Otherwise, four stars. Great game.
One of the best app’s we’ve found. Doesn’t miss a beat except after playing about 30 rounds the app is now always winning and always has instant meld. It has sort of taken some of the fun out of it. Love the sound effects, the 3D turning status.
Really enjoy the game. Only thing we find unusual is that the computer doesn’t win as much as other games of this type.
The AI seems not too smart… Is there an advanced mode to make it harder?
We love Rummikub and Touch Rummy does a great job! The sound effects, 3D design, and built-in opponent are really good. We only have two gripe. The computer regularly takes a joker on the board without first replacing it with its represented tile. We’re pretty sure this is against the rules. To use a joker on the board in a different meld, a player must have on their rack the tile that fits in place of the joker. Second, as with playing cards, we play that 12-13-1 is an acceptable run. Enabling this could be a game preference if not everyone plays this way. Fix these two for a five-star rating.
We wish that this game could be played online so we could play with our friends. We don’t care for the multiplayer over Bluetooth, because our opponent has to be next to us, and the connection gets lost a lot.
Love this game if the continue function worked. Every time we play multiplayer and pause the game, if one of the iPads locks the game ends and will not resume. Also, if you switch apps (multitask) the connection is lost and the game is reset. So Frustrating! Would also be nice if online gaming were added so you could play with game center friends. Everything else about the game is great.
The graphics are good, and the app used to be good before the last update. Since the update, the computer holds onto tiles and puts 10+ down at once almost every game. We want to play for fun, not be cheated almost every game.
In the description of this app it says that you can play against other players using a Bluetooth connection. What it doesn’t mention is that in order to do this you have to pay for each device. So we payed the $3.99 for the iPad app. Then when trying to have the three of us play, it required that each iPhone pay $2.99 PER phone. This should have been disclosed in either the description of the app . It was not disclosed on the website either. Total RIP OFF.
You could have fixed some of the bugs after not doing any updates for years. Same interface, same options, same bugs: in multiplayer when one wins the other still gets a "other player paused the game" message, when choosing the game time, the English version is still misspelled with the German "seconden".
This was a great five star game until we got our new iPad Airs. Now the tiles flicker whenever the are moved. Very annoying!
We bought this to play with a fire who also has an iPad. It was after we purchased it that we found out you have to be nearby. Well, she’s nit nearby. Other than that graphics are great. Great game. But really a disappointment about the "multiplayer".
This is by far one of our favorite game apps. No crashing problems with the latest update on our iPad 2 & iPad 3.

Since downloading new update, keeps crashing … Please fix it ASAP as love playing this on our iPad. We wish it worked with with the multi game app and were able to play with 4 players as it is with the psychical game.
We’ve always loved Rummykub. This game is basically the same, except for a few minor differences that aren’t that big of a deal. What we would REALLY like, is to be able to play over the Internet, like Words with Friends, etc. Any chance the developers will add that capability? If you do, we’ll give it 5 stars! Also, would be great if you could add skill levels. We beat the computer all the time, which is no fun.
This is a fun game – we’ve logged a lot of time on it… Seems like the AI is dumber now than before. We can’t lose! Not sure what is up but we used to lose at least some of the time… Did something change?
Bought our wife the New iPad and wanted to put all her old iPad apps on it. The new pay version of Touch Rummy does not have a provision for a random opponent…. Only a Facebook opponent. We are not and don’t wish to be Facebook members. We spent $500 for a new iPad and she doesn’t want to use it because the games are not the same. PLEASE add a random opponent provision.
This game worked fine until the most recent update and now it will not even open on our iPad. We really enjoyed this version. Please update so that it works again. The only thing that truly bugged us is tile location. There is no "organization" to the placement of tiles as the Facebook version.
Upgraded and purchased so our wife and we could play one another, but the multiplayer mode via wifi or bluetooth will not stay connected. Please update and fix.
Very frustrating. When playing in multiplayer mode, we keeping losing our connection and the entire game is lost. The resume option is not available. Please fix this!!!
Nice game and great graphics but multiplayer attempted on two occasssions using different home networks each failed after several turns. The net work signals were strong each time and we saw no reason to lose network connection.
Loved free version. Began crashing. Paid for new HD. Does not work at all. New iPad. Needs help. Could be great. Needs work.

Bought this for the sole purpose of the multiplayer game. It always loses the connection mid-game, losing the entire thing. Please fix!!
Great, addicting game, EXCEPT, it keeps getting sluggish. The tiles will pause and freeze then SLOWLY drop into place. Paid for this! Please fix. It looks like those Matrix movies!
Multiplayer connection is continually lost. Don’t buy unless you only want to play against computer. Please fix lost connection bug, and we’ll give a review with 5 stars.
We have played this game for a couple of weeks now. We have not found any faults with it. When it says that the board is not correct, that is true. It is easy to have adjacent numbers switched because moving sets of numbers on the board is not as smooth as it could be. Also, we wish it could be more sophisticated about separating groups that happen to touch each other. We have a desktop game called Rummikub which is more capable than this game. We also wish we had the option to wrap from 13 to 1 as we can in Rummikub. But not being able to wrap provides new challenges that force us to think of new strategies. We have won 75% over several hundred games.
Very well done. Biggest wish is that it had multiplayer over GameCenter!
We’ve had this game for about a week and we’ve really enjoyed it. This is our family’s favorite game and we rarely get a chance to play anymore. We only have minor complaints. We wish there was an option that would keep the game board from auto-rotating with the iPad without having to change the whole iPad setting. It would be great to be able to play with other people, like words with friends. We’re sure there are other ways to improve it, but we don’t have any. Overall, we love it.
If you like rummy cubes, you sure will like this.
If you are looking for a go to game for your IPad this is the game. We have played several hundred hands of this game since downloading last year. We would highly recommend!
This is a great game, very similar to rummicub. Our wife and we have enjoyed playing it. We only have a few complaints. The biggest complaint is that when playing head to head over wi-fi, the game periodically loses contact between the devices. This also happens over bluetooth, but not as often. There is no option to resume the game once the connection has been restored, forcing you to begin a new game. If this was fixed, it would be a 5-star app! Our other complaints are more in the nature of suggestions: 1. The ability to play against multiple opponents would be nice. 2 . Not being able to rearrange tiles on your rack while your opponent is playing is very annoying, and should be easy to fix.
We do not multiplayer, but perhaps we should as the " computer" opposer is a bit tooo smart. In 8 games we have only won 1.
Our wife and we are unable to complete a game using multiplayer over wifi. After playing for a few minutes, it says that the connection was lost. After that, there’s no way to resume your game. So we tried using multiplayer over Bluetooth. So far, we’ve been able to complete those games.
Glad we finally found a tile game similar to Rummikub. Just irritating that the screen rotates while reading directions or in between games. It’s manageable enough though.
