Find out what gamers are saying about Venture Kid:

Wow! This game gives us the nostalgic feeling that we have been looking for on iOS that we’ve come close to but never quite reached. This game has done it perfectly!

Great fun, exactly what we were hoping for!

Great music and superb gameplay.

Very good and challenging but fun.

The bees knees… That’s all we have to say about this game.

Better use of your money than mighty 09.

If you even remotely like the classic mega man games, this game is for you! Rad chip tune music by Norrin Radd! Our only complaint? Why does it look like venture kids bullets are coming out of his hand? Where’s the pistol pictured in the app icon? But that complaint is really minor. Awesome game!!

First off, AMAZING GAME!!! We love it. Everyone saying it’s too hard, just learn to play. Those people most likely have never played most of the games from the NES era, where hard was the norm. It’s great that it’s hard because it’s replay able. We enjoy a good challenge although we admit the bosses are a bit unfair, especially to newbies. Although until the jungle is the only one we feel is insanely hard(I still haven’t beaten him). But seriously this is an enjoyable and incredibly challenging mega man inspired 8-bit platform that we recomend wholeheartedly.

What an fun game! We love the old school music and graphics, but the gameplay is challenging and fun.

El mejor juego que he jugado espero que pueda crea la parte 2.

Right off the bat his game is awesome. Mega man is one of our favorite games of all time and this game does a great job providing that classic platformer feel. We won’t be putting this down for a while.

Vintage feel with a new storyline! We dig it!

We’ve seen some poor reviews from people saying its too difficult. These people have obviously never played battle toads. Next to most retro games this is a cakewalk. It takes some pattern memory but if thats ur kind of challenge we dont think youll be disappointed. We also love the control layout and we wish more games would utilize dedicated screen space for buttons. Many thanks to the developers!

Reminds us of Megaman with all the frustrations and joys that come with it. Defeating a boss is satisfying and they all must have a weakness. Played through the first level and it was a great level.

This game should be multiplayer it would be a good idea.

Challenging without being impossible, yet not so easy that you get bored. Great commands/usability, great music and sound effects. An instant classic!

They basically took everything that made a retro game perfect yet still make it feel unique. It feels like mega man and mimics a lot of the same mechanics but the level design and feel of the game is wonderful. Sure, it’s kinda of a clone but why fix what isn’t broken? At the end of the day it’s a great game that I’d recommend to anybody with a fetish for challenging, old school gaming.

One of the better games we have played. We would highly recommend.

We digs it! Make more games like this!!!

Has an obvious inspiration and it does a great job of living up to that inspiration. With $0.99 as a price, there’s really nothing to lose and you’ll quickly love it.

Awesome throwback to the Mario days. Love it!

Great game for the nostalgic mega man feel.

From start to finish Venture Kid is a well crafted reminder of the halcyon days of the NES. We think Venture Kid is one of the top tier 8bit retro games available on ios, unfortunate that we never got a sequel to this one.

Yes! Offer us 100 orbs and we will be your review slave! Orbs or not, this IS a great game. Brought to us (maybe?) by the folks who made Slayin. This game isn’t QUITE the game Slayin is, but it’s pretty fab nonetheless. Fans of the retro 8-bit shooty-pew thing can’t go wrong with Venture Kid!

We never review games. Amazing play controls. Challenging without being rage-inducing. Great customer support and timely responses. Long term playability and by that we mean it rewards persistence (you get more coins which means more power and weapons). So if youre really good, you wont need them all but if youre not, you get paid enough coins to get the extra stuff you need to win soon enough.

Awesome retro game.. Reminds us of an old classic Mega Man one of our favorite Nintendo games. Simple and great 8-bit graphics.. We will play this in our spare time. Great download.

What a fun old school game!!! Side scrolling it’s finest with boss battles. If you have not played this game you are missing out.

Venture kid is a fine game and it’s reviews prove it. Elements like its nostalgic soundtrack and 16 bit graphics bring us right back to our childhood. Games back then also worked seamlessly and this game is seamless. The bosses are also very challenging which brings back memories. If you want a nostalgic NES-like game, then this is the game for you.

Hands down. Please make more and keep content coming.

This game takes us back to megaman days. This game is fun to play and the soundtrack is great too. Intro looks inspired by megaman 2.

Definitely a game for the old school retro gaming enthusiast ;)

For whatever reason, this is absolutely our favorite ios game and the one we end up playing over and over. We don’t it’s too hard or too easy – we just like everything about it. Really well done. It’s been a while so we don’t remember if this is paid or free but one can play forever without needing an in app purchase. Besides the excellent game play, this is really our favorite part. After playing forever, we did decide to buy something just to support the dev. If you were to buy something, the coin doubler is a good value. Everything else seems unnecessary. We keep looking for new games to match this one but always end up going back. Really well done.

A good challenge with a pleasing variety in level design/scenery. Game mechanics are polished and simple, yet responsive. Skill and patience is rewarded here like in the early rockman/megaman franchise entries. It took us a month of casual playing while having downtime at work or loitering about to defeat this game. Which felt very gratifying, for what that is worth. The last level of the fortress was very lazy in terms of level design and especially boss design- but the rest of the game is excellent especially Fortress level 1 and 2.

We’re huge into retro gaming and have been for years. This is worth the money. Works well and looks great! Excited to see a game like this for when we’re on the go and don’t have our gbc with us. The only flaw is when we’re trying to hit the B button really fast our finger slides over and hits the pause. We would change the pause button placement but not a deal breaker.

Love 8-bits and this brings us back to our megaman days! Awesome what the devil pets got going here.

Nostalgia, we’ve missed you old friend. This is definitely a must play for old school Megaman fans!
