Ive been a long time fan of the virtual villagers games ever since the first one was released. Ive successfully played them all. We enjoyed these as time killers or little breaks here & there. Just simply fun. Now our kids enjoy this game as well as the others too. Its a little challenging but nothing stressful to figure out. We find these fun to play with our kids too. No, its not multiplayer (although we hope one day they will offer that) but we sit with them & we do it together. This developer has clearly put time & effort into this game & all the others. Hours of fun! Enjoy.
We cannot download this game. ANY SUGGESTIONS ANYONE.
Only the first builder to reach master status can actually get there. We have been putting two adept builders on the vines at least a dozen times, and their skill progress bars dont increase, even after several times when the game has said, this villager improved at construction. We are pretty sure we need two or three master builders to open the crate on the beach. We have level two technology in every category. We are trying to solve the puzzles without referring to online game guides. Fix this.
So chose Sunimeg in the Silver Mirror event, and we wanted to be able to differentiate between the clones by changing the clones name, but when we tap on the name, the typing bar flashes, but our keyboard doesnt come up. Love the game besides that, this game was a big part of our childhood.
We paid for this game and cant have more than 40 people. Wish we had known.
The game seems cool and all but we miss the old one that you currently cannot play anymore. We honestly like this game but we want the other vvillagers to come back. We liked the art style and the game mechanics it was really cool.
The game is still fun, but after the iOS 10 update, the tech prices (except for Level 2 Farming) doubled. For example, Level 3 Farming, which used to cost 90,000 tech points, now costs 180,000 tech points. It was better before with the original prices.
We had the original game but hadnt played it in several years. One of the problems we experienced was the fact that the sound effects did not work. For example, we found that after playing for a few hours we couldnt hear the hammers when the builders were building the huts. Also, the noises coming from the lab table disappeared after a while. We finally got the update for our new we Pad and lo and behold, the same problems are occurring. Add to that when we pause the game and turn it back on later, there is no sound at all. We have to fiddle with not only the game sound control, but our we Pads as well. This is very discouraging because we enjoy the game. But if something cant be done to fix the problem, we may wind up deleting it.
We liked playing these games on our computer and finally decided to start playing them on our iPhone. We passed the original virtual villagers in less than a week without a restart because we had previously beaten it. What we dont like about any of the other virtual villagers games going forward is the the original/first lets you buy boosters of help like 2x tech point, buying tech point and food. We know everyone isnt always about pay for a game but without any sort of help on the 2nd and 3rd games Ive had to restart numerous times. We also have the issue with when we go to pause it, it doesnt actually pause and all our villagers die overnight. Please fix these issues so we dont have to cheat and look up help online to try to move to the next game.
REALLY 180,000 tech points for Farming Lvl 3?!?!???? The heck.
Just grabbed this since it was the game in the series we had the least experience with and its only a dollar. Probably shouldve tested the free version first because the game doesnt fit into the phone screen, but much worse is that trying to move around the island feels terrible. Its very jittery and slow and nothing like any of the other phone versions Ive tried over our life. This is a very old game but the other ports Ive tried havent had these issues, only a dollar but we would just stick to the PC version if you wanted a nostalgia trip.
Whenever the ocean is dirty, we cant fish! Can we Clean It?! (dont spoil, anyone out there).
This game takes WAY to long to gain tech points And lavastones. We couldnt even finish playing for 2 days before we got sick of playing. Which is a shame cause we love playing virtual villagers.
Something is wrong with this game. We kept restarting it because all of our villagers starved to death before accumulating enough tech points to buy level 3 farming. We want our 99 cents back.
We were 1 minute away from yielding our crops, our phone went to deactive mode and birds are all our crops. All 800 of them.
Just paid for this stupid app, and it crashes every five minutes. Its impossible to play. Im so irritated.

We gave the first game 5 stars, and we wish we could give this one 4.8 stars. X) In our opinion, it's just as good as the original, this app just needs an update. But both 1 and 2 are amazing and so peaceful to play.
We love the virtual villagers series, it's honestly one of our favorite games ever created, and this version happens to be our favorite out of the series, we love everything about it. But we can no longer play it :( the mobile version has some lag with the scrolling, and the most crucial bug is that when you select to pause the game, it doesn't actually pause. Which makes all your villagers starve and die. Last day of work, we don't know if you actually read the reviews on your games, but if you do, please please fix the bugs in your virtual villagers games so we can play them again, we'd really appreciate it :).

This game is soooo fun!! We just wish we could rename our villagers :( that is our only complaint. Otherwise, we love this game.
We love this game but how do you irrigate the soil? We don't want our people to die, but we have no food.
It's a really good game. You will not be able to finish the game of it is always on fast mode. If you put it on fast, forget it. Normal, pause everytime afterwards. Slow, pause until tribe secure.
We have beat all of the games they have for the ipod and the computer.

We noticed a lot of people asking questions.. Online they have plenty of help and walkthroughs to help you out with the puzzles. Just look up "virtual villagers 2 walkthrough".
How do you get the algae out of the water please help :,(.
You get rid if the algae with lv3 farming. In the stream there is algae eating fish you need to get more than 1.
See we don't know how to make a sharp tool someone plzzzz tell us how to make a tool.
So the game is fun for about an hour, but then the algae appears in the water, preventing us from getting fish. The coconuts run out too quickly, and within a day or two most of the villagers have died of starvation. How do we get rid of the algae?!?!? :( please help.
To get them 2 get the coconuts u must have lvl 2 of farming and only adults can climb 4 coconuts also by the crate mushrooms grow children can pick the mushrooms.
Ok so we love this game! But we really need help with puzzle 4 (the sharp tools) we're doing exactly the right thing (lol in referring to a walk through we found on the interweb) but it doesn't work, it doesn't say "she/he sees something" will we have to start over?? Please help.
We really enjoy these games. We bought all 5 at once! Just a small suggestion if you could ever take it into consideration: Please throw on a keyboard so we can rename our villagers. We have 3 of them named Hula and 2 Waiata. How can we grow attached to them of they are all named the same? This can apply to all the other games too. Thanks for such an awesome game.
We are new at this game and we cant get food! The ocean is full of algea and nobody can climb up to get the coconuts. What do we do.
We love this game! However, we think that we should be able to change the names of the villagers like in the free app, Virtual Villagers: Origins. We think that would make this game absolutely perfect.

How do u learn how to climb 2 get coconuts.
To all who need farming help, you have to train someone try putting a villager in the water to fish and you need a trainee or a trained ADULT to get the coconuts.
Hey it's us again um. Well great game. There should be a bigger village it would be cool to expand that was a shout out to the developers.
We've tried to get the algae out of the water with a master scientist but it won't work.
We LOVE this game and just started playing so we were wondering how you get lots of tech points because im scared because we dont know when the algae is going to come so we need level 2 engineering so we can build a dam but thats 5000 tech points and we only have 644 so please help so our people wont die :).
What Do You Mean By Helping The Soil Exactly? Do You Mean Wetting The Soil To Make Crops.

Once you have algae in the ocean and coconuts gone, get lvl 2 engineering and drag a builder to the place where there's a narrow stream and is says "He/she could probably build a dam here" To make a scarecrow, drag a farmer twice to the twisted wood. Hope this helps.
We love this game!! It's soo much fun!! It's one of our favorite vv games and it's the cheapest lol! Five star all the way!! And if you want to get ahead in the game just set ur iPod clock ahead. But if you want to set it back pause the game so your ppl doesn't die. Thanks!! :):).
