Word Wow is a word game where you make words to dig deeper into the ground. As you dig down, the worm will follow until you can guide him to the bottom before time runs out. You need to be able to make words quickly (although a no-timer mode is available) to string together bonuses, as well as just to clear the path.
If you find the worm to be stuck and you can’t come up with any words, you can use a bomb to clear some of the tiles. You have a limited number of bombs, but you can earn more as you make more words. As the worm moves down the board, more letters become available.
Each level has at least 1 hidden gem, and if you can find all the gems in all the levels of a world, a bonus level is opened where you can really rack up the points!
The bigger the words that you can make the more points you’ll earn. Try and make enough points each level to earn all three stars.
Word Wow will sharpen your brain as well as your reflexes. Help a worm out!

Makes you spell and race time. So far we like it.
We got to the parkfinally and Im playing easy mode.
We were looking for a word game that was somewhat challenging and fun. We love this game because it is not the usual. We love having to do this with the timer. Great fun, somewhat addictive.
We began with this original game called Bookworm and we didnt think the changes and the new version would match up. We really like this this game. Its one of the only consistent games with so very few changes so it doesnt disturb what you already know about it. Its fun, we like the worm, we have to put some thought into it depending on level, or timer, etc. It is a relaxing game to play, too. We have 4 versions of it and we dont get tired of playing it. AND-you arent swamped with ads and interruptions. Its a keeper !
We just downloaded this game today. We love word games. This one is so enjoyable. We are hooked. We are still learning the little ins and outs of the game. Every chance we get, we sit down to play. It makes us think, but so far has not been impossible. We turned off the timed version. We kind of go blank when we are hurrying. Love it.
In the middle of playing the game all of a sudden it doesnt allow you to push tiles-freezes all the time.
Love this game but having issues with the game syncing between devices. We tried to contact support but the Contact us button does nothing when we click on it. Maybe someone will see this review and contact us?
We love this game, we only wish we could play it in landscape mode. It would be much easier on our iPad.
Fun making up words and getting the worm out safe.
We really like the game, but Bonus words repeat too often at the end.
We’ve had this app for years and have enjoyed it along with our elementary age kids, but we deleted it yesterday after seeing two inappropriate ads in the space of ten minutes. The ads were cartoonish and sexual in natureabsolutely not something we want our young children exposed to. Up until then it had been ads for Fishdom or Gardenscapesannoying but not inappropriate. This game has a 4+ rating which is really misleading when it shows sexual cartoon ads between games.
We play this game so much to pass the time we catch up to the updates and have no new puzzles to play. Our only complaint is we wish they updated with new levels more often. We enjoy this one and Seasons more then their other versions.
Dont mind the adds after each completion EXCEPT SOME ARE STARTLING LOUD. We had to give up playing your games after the family is asleep and when things are finally quiet and when there is studying going on. That really cuts down on your games use by all of us. Dont get us wrong, we enjoy the ads showing us new stuff and have turned friends on to some of the really sick ones. But the loud shocking noise right after an enjoyable game is a real smack down. We have always liked word games but most of them are too easy and you are limited with just a certain amount of letters. Not this one! Each round gives you a huge range of words you can make and its never that repetition of limited words. There are also the challenge words in the daily games. The advertisements are there but nothing crazy. We’ve deleted the other game words we had in our iPad: all we need is the little worm!
Although the game isnt fully downloaded we’ve played before and we know how awesome it is. It can be a great game for kids and adults.
Great word game, and we love the option to pay to remove ads (which we did). Our only complaint is sometimes Im right on the edge of getting the third star, and then the game adds up our bonuses (time, three letters, etc.) but it doesnt add the bonus amount to our stars. Just to our total score. Maybe thats a feature and not a bug but it does make getting that third star very difficult. We do like how many levels are available though!
We would give it 5 stars if they made it easier to get bombs.
Says no connection found but yet somehow ads play..
We love this game, but if we have to pause it, or if our screen goes black because we get busy doing something else, the special word disappears and we have to start all over. Is there a way to get it back?
This is a challenging game, but we notice that the app doesnt always give you the bonus you deserve for spelling a word of 10 or more letters. This is very frustrating. Today we spelled 12-letter word and the app accepted the word, but we didnt get the bonus points at the end of the round. This has happened several times lately.
Love it! Makes you think quickly and use spelling skills.
Too many ads, slows down the fun.
We had over 1100 shuffles and over 900 bombs and they are all gone after you reset the game.
Even though its timed its relaxing and great mind exercise!
We love this game. Wanted to recommend it to our kids and friends but cannot because of the VERY INAPPROPRIATE (my fantasy) advertising. Im hoping it will cycle out and get a different advertiser because this is awful.
The game now has a banner ad across the top, and it hides some of the letters. This s making it difficult and frustrating to play. We’ve had the game for a long time and have enjoyed it. Its perfect while in waiting rooms for medical appointments, and we like to play at night to wind down.
Great little game. We’ve been enjoying it for a long time. Always something to do in waiting rooms. The worm did not move down two rows before the end of this board. Used up the letter tile and he floated above where it used to be. Had to use a bomb to move forward (even though we saw no tile to remove). Thanks!
This is a great game, but the bugginess is distracting. Freezes a lot and will play music out of nowhere even if the controls are set to silent. Its irritating.

Love it but have data broken file come up numerous times now. Lose all our bombs and shuffles. Sent email and no help. Frustrating to say the least.
And why in the world do you need our location??? This is a word game. Why do we need to give you access to our location?? Immediate red flag. We think we will be deleting it.
TWO MANY LEVELS HAVE JEWELS BLENDING INTOGIAVANNA BACKWARD. MOUSE EVIL.
An ad or multiple ads pop up after every round and most take 5-10 seconds before you can close them. Its a good word game but the ads are a big distraction.
We wanted a game everyone could play but there are so many ads and they are not appropriate for children. The daily challenge won’t reveal the needed letters until you play the levels over and over again forcing the player to watch more ads. We don’t mind the occassional ad but feel this is very underhanded. And yes, there is an add free version users can pay to remove ads but why not make it more user friendly and appropriate for all ages?
We believe this game is similar to Bookworm. We purchased bookworm years ago. We are talking 2003. It was a great game. No adds or commercial interruptions. However, as apple kept updating Bookworm became obsolete. The game maker, PopCap would not update the game and we had to stop playing it. We still have the original Bookworm disk. When you pay the $4.99 to get rid of the adds is that a one time fee? Or do you have to keep paying that fee each time you go back to play the game?
Love this game. Never gets tiring.
