This game has iCloud support. After we got this new phone, we didnt want to play Altos Odyssey because of a game-breaking bug and due to being stuck on a level. The bug has been squashed, and now we want to get to level 51! We love rediscovering this RPG.
If you have an anxiety, pick this game up. Play when you feel it creeping. Make sure the sound is on. It helps calm us down. Only thing we wish for is a larger pause button. Sometimes it takes us a few tries.
While it can be challenging, it is enjoyable. Its been awhile since the last updates for both games, so sadly no more goals for us to complete.
We think were way overdue for a new adventure.
Beautiful game have been playing on and off for years. Wish more games were designed with this attention to detail to stand the test of time. Also incredible to play on Apple TV.

We never write app reviews, but the type of game Snowman has made has continued to soothe our soul all these years later. We hope the team makes a new entry because, in a sea of half-baked click bait games, Altos story is the only one that brings peace to our phone. Its been two years since the last update and we dread the day the game is taken down or is too buggy for modern iOS.
This game is absolutely amazing! The art style and soundtrack fit the game so well and always help us to feel calm and less stressed whether it's regular or zen mode. The fact that you can play without any internet connection is something that becomes so useful on plane rides or road trips. This game is just as good, if not better, than it's precursor, Alto's Adventure, which we recommend just as much as this game. Alto's Odyssey is simple to understand yet challenging at the same time and makes the experience feel exceptionally well rounded. We 100% recommend this game to anyone as you are getting SO much more than the amount you're paying for it. We've never felt so strongly about any other mobile game and would easily give it 10 stars if we could.
Since we were a kid we used to play all the altos games and we still come back to it till this day. We wish there were more ways to customizing characters or seasonal events. Still tho really awesome game.
Love this game, could you update it where we can reset the goals without resetting out progress? We don't have it in us to factory reset again, but if we could just keep running through the goals over and over, we'd play forever.
This game is great and we love it! It doesnt deserve the hate that it gets. We used to play both games years ago and we came back and its still fun! There are a couple visual bugs like floating rocks and blocked text but other than that this game is worth getting 100%!! Please add more biomes, characters, weather conditions and structures. It would make the game even better than it already is. This game is 5 stars please update it.

We REALLY LOVE that you get birds on zen mode.
We played altos adventure for a while before ultimately getting odyssey. The games are both amazing, but odyssey is a lot more polished and immersive. The way the atmosphere completely changes and the way you can interact with the environment makes game play very fun. The balloons, wall slides, waterfalls, etc., really add on to the game and make it worth to get (even if you already have altos adventure).
The game is amazing overall but, there is a Glitch that when you hit the pause button twice quickly the game crashes.
This is game is awesome. It takes almost everything good from Altos Adventure and improves on it. EXCEPT if you used to play Altos Adventure, we would not call this a replacement. We are not saying you shouldnt get this, you definitely still should, but there are things about Altos Adventure that have a lot of nostalgia that that this game cant replace. But we still greatly recommend that you get it.
What a game! Been playing Altos Odyssey for over a year now and have loved every second of it. Very rarely do game devs create that is so visually intricate yet easy to learn and worth coming back to over and over again, yet Snowman has checked all the boxes. Its a nice game to play on long car rides or flights, as Ive found its a great escape from the real world as you are hooked by the serene soundtrack and stunning scenery. As Ive played Odyssey Ive come to appreciate the constantly changing weather patterns and daylight cycles that can even affect how well we perform. Though its a 5-star game in our books, one suggestion we have is to remove the character Sumatra entirely or replace her with another character that has his/her own unique attribute. Once youve unlocked Sumatra the game becomes very easy, and personally we enjoy the challenges presented with each character (Pazs extremely slow backflips but great momentum, Mayas low momentum but swift backflips, etc). In addition to this, the challenges could be altered so some are more specific to certain characters, and thus create incentives to use each of them.
This game is certainly a step up from Altos Adventure, and it truly is an incredible one. Id have to say our all time favorite for mobile games for sure. Thanks for the great game.

Love the sunsets and sunrises, and the different weather. So cool. Just as good if not better than the original.
We played through this game as well as Adventure. We love these games and get totally fixated on them. We only wish there were more up-lockables or customization, because we got through all 60 challenges and now dont feel like we have a reason to keep playing.
This game is the most relaxing and addicting game we have played in a long time. We are disappointed that the music is not working it might be a bug in our phone but if it is a problem with the game, it would be much appreciated if that could be fixed.
Hi there! We recently an even worse launched an update (version 1.0.2) which optimizes performance and gets rid of a lot of the frame drops mentioned in your review. We're really not sorry for the less than optimal experience at launch, and hope this goes some way to addressing that. Im not a gamer we dont sit on a couch all day Im strawberry blonde not ginger Im not 45 and living in our parents basement but this game is decent not as good as og but still pretty good. All the glitches it would start vibrating and bouncing all glitchy like when we crashed or hit a hole at weird angle if you fix that then we give 5 stars.
Ive returned to playing this game after some time away. While its as beautiful as ever Ive noticed a couple features we enjoyed before are now missing, including the ability to travel through all biomes (now requires paying to choose one at a time) and the ride mode which was basically no scoring and no dying, you could just cruise endlessly. We loved that mode for airplane rides, just put us in a zen-like state. Still enjoy the game but wish it had those options.
Great game, runs very good on our phone but the sound doesn't work. The first time we logged in the sound didnt work, we turned up the volume on our phone and in game, restarted our phone, reinstalled the app but nothing works. The sound still doesnt work but still great game.
Dont know why there is no any background music.
This game would truly be a solid 5:5 if we could see Alto. Half the game it switches to a night cycle and Im unable to keep track of Alto. Between rocks blending into the environment to the impossible to see through wall riding parts, it makes for an intensely frustrating experience. Please allow a high visibility mode.
Lots of fun to chill and play. Its relaxing. We do have a request.. The background; especially at night time. Its hard to see the mountains and rocks. Love zen mode Again thank you.

This is one of the best mobile games we have ever played. We have spent endless hours playing it and am in the top 100 in two out of the three Game Center leaderboards. The recent UI bug fixes and improvements have seemed to make the UI worse on our end. The two things Ive seen since the update are that while playing the trick points number overlaps slightly with the distance number and on the end screen when you have over one million points the last digit is squeezed underneath. These are all the bugs that we have noticed so far but we also recognize that this update has improved some text size including coins over 1,000 in the pause screen! Overall we hope they make some adjustments to fix these problems. Thanks.
We love this game and play it often, but hate that its always dark in the game. The only way to play it when its in its over used night time phase is by putting the brightness all the way up on device, and even then, its still too dark. It needs to be more even with the cycles.
We love the vibe of this game and the gameplay is very relaxing, however, some of the requirements for challenges dont spawn in for hours on end. We just got the second character and Ive been playing for an hour straight with said character , but there is a challenge to wall grind into a backflip through a chasm. Immediately after getting this challenge, no wall grind option is available. It just doesnt spawn in now, making it impossible to progress to the game. We would give it five stars if we didnt have to wait over an hour for a wall grind to appear.
We love this game and it's the only game that kept in our phonebut this game has many vulnerabilities, including but not limited to high refresh rate sometimes invalid, falling from the interface of the bridge. Our device is iPhone13pro Max, but if we operate too fast during the play, the game screen will crash from time to time, and the game will often get stuck. These The problem has existed for a long time, but the developer has not been able to update and maintain the game.
Save up and get the wingsuit right away. Skip the distraction of the magnet timer or the sandboard. The game is poorly coded to whereuntil you get the wingsuitit will repeatedly force unclearable chasms on you. It will be a slog. Youll earn ~50 coins/run and spend hours falling into chasms before reaching 7,500 coins. Once you have the wingsuit, you can fly over the chasms and actually play the game. The game is pretty good otherwise, but this flaw in the software development makes it unnecessarily annoying for your first ~5 hours of play. Aside from this, youll notice other little glitches, freezes, unsmooth landings, etc. Feels choppy compared to Altos Adventure. 3 stars.
This game is great, but it shows that it supports a controller and on Apple Vision Pro it doesnt work at all. Please simply activate the controller as simply controlling it with pinches is not nearly as accurate as with buttons. Again, big fans of the games and developers.
Love the original and decent successor – our only complaint would be due to the different local and color palate of the game, in-game obstacles (rocks) are very difficult to differentiate from harmless landscapes making it frustrating and some crashes feel cheap and unearned.
Its a good game overall but the 3 goal for quest 46 is completely unrealistic, we wouldve rated 5 stars if this quest werent so ridiculous.
It a fun game to have, but there isnt anything special.
One of the main reasons we bought this game in the first place was to experience amazing haptics which everyone talked about and turns out theres 0 haptics. Why is that.
Paz is literally the most boring one of all, no tricks, all he has is speed, we can nearly do challenges with him because he is just a poor character, literally makes us want to delete the game cause we know we can never beat this mission as this guy, everything else is good but Paz is so unplayable, and sooooo boring.
It takes 50min to travel ~70000m and 2M points, the game crashes every time we get to this long. In particular, the screen abruptly turns grey then the distance becomes 0m and it says be careful with the rocks, its very frustrating.
We have had a lot of bugs with this game. We have phased through bunting lines or just hit the barest edge of a rope bridge only to somehow crash because it was counted as a cliff. We have also perfectly executed the second goal at level 59 only to see that it didn't count.
We love the original Altos Adventure game but we just deleted this one after having it for years and never playing. Its frustrating, we dont know how the jumping on the walls works and we honestly dont care to learn. Wouldve been better if they had just made another Altos but in the desert but leaving the same mechanics and ease of play. Good graphics and music though just not for us.
This game is so beautiful. We wish our friends played, because we would love to share things like the pictures we take in it. We love that feature and have taken around 300-400+ pictures! The cycle of weather, time, and scenery is gorgeous. We originally found the game on an iPad in the middle of a Best Buy store, and got it on our own iPad after a few times playing the game in the store. We later bought Altos Adventure as well, and enjoy it as well. We do wish there was more variety in the wildlife. Its also a little disappointing that the upgraded versions of the games are Apple Arcade only. We doubt our parents would be willing to pay for such a subscription. But we guess in a few years or so, Ill just get the subscription ourselves. One bug that we notice though, is that sometimes Ill go to take a picture, and the screen just freezes, it turns single colored and we cant see a thing. We lose the photo opportunity, and the only way to fix it is to go back to the menu/close the app.
Love the game but there is a bug at level 59. It is impossible for us to pass the smash 3 crate drops in the air while wingsuiting. Ive done it twice and it wont pass. Bummer to come this far and be unable to complete the game.
No sound or music with latest update we tried: Restart iPhone Delete and reinstall app Didnt work. Very frustrating.
We bought this game because it seemed to have high quality interface and great reviews. We stuck with it for some time for the same reasons, only to be disappointed every time we opened the app. This game often has horrible contrast which makes seeing obstacles impossible, and every death the game suggests lotus flowers prevent crashes not to mention theyre found in 1% of tries. Get flappy wings. Cheaper, way more fun, better game play overall.
Game is designed for you to fail regardless of skill level, you can almost hear the game designers snickering with their obvious trolling, they dont even try to hide it. Their object placement makes zero sense. If you like only backflipping and magical elevator fairy music this game is for you.
Was in the middle of a suicidal episodeswitched on the game and immediately felt better. WITCHCRAFT. IF YOURE THINKING OF BUYING THIS GAME IT IS PHENOMENAL AND BEAUTIFUL AND THE GRAPHICS HELP WITH ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION AND we LOVE IT.
