We’ve been playing this game for years and have current updates etc. We do not want to lose all of our progress. How can we get back into the game?
New update is in, we’ve been disconnected from the game 5x already, whats going on?
Really decent game with items you can use to help you with distance, accuracy and with wind. There are many different courses but you have to climb in rank in order to unlock them which is an incentive while challenging. Developer offers upgrades and costume changes you can get with earnings as you advance. Now the negative! You can watch videos which usually last around 30 seconds to get coins. Almost every time after watching the videos and closing it out the game freezes and crashes and you dont get your coins. Totally annoying and frustrating. Needs fixed Updated 5/11/22: They have done a decent job fixing the ad bug, but another issue is earning and getting costume tickets and not being rewarded. We literally have earned enough for 15 costume upgrades which should come with stat increases and each time they dont honor it and give a compensation package which is always 3 costume tickets and 1 premium ticket. Another issue is the developer has taken away shots that you will need to navigate the course that you once had and earned for no reason. Needs addressed to let the user use all shots at any time in the game without blocking them out!!
Our game, for the past few months has been requiring us to download new content every time we log in. Also, now we cant even enter a round without the game shutting down on us. Please fix!!!
Have been telling these developers to ban chip-ins from putting surface for over 2 years but they couldnt change that. Every week same championship games in same order and same conditions. Only the wind speed changes but all tee, course stay same. This game has become lame as they have put bots in the game so normal players cant be number 1.
If you do not drop big money on this game then you better enjoy losing all the time.!
Got a problem with game, dont bother submitting issue/issues here unless you just want to receive a response similar to the ones already posted here from the GolfStar gurus. You can also contact them thru the games hive & receive a response that is almost guaranteed to not fix the issue nor address the issue with the info you provided. We are so sorry that you are having an issue or not enjoying the game, we will forward this to our developers who will jump right on it, trust us !
Stays at splash screen. Been this was for at least a week.
Great game — play it all the time. But the recent update took a lot of fun out of it. Or maybe we advanced too far. Now most of our shot choices are grayed out. Need a backspin shot? Too bad. High shot? Not for you, chump. Id like to see ALL the choices we worked so hard to master returned. And Id like to play from closer tees once in a while the 6th position gets old all the time.
Recently began receiving pop up upon startup requesting permission for Golf Star to paste from our messages. Thats a bit concerning, no reason to review our personal messages. Respect boundaries. Not willing to sacrifice our privacy to that degree for a mediocre golf game. Glad iPhone at least makes us aware of this instead of granting access without authorization.
Keeps timing us out after tee shot. Unable to play.

This new version is very slow and lags a lot. Also we have been having to spend about 5 minutes downloading 1000 mb of data each time we log in.
Most of the time theres an update needed which requires multiple downloads. But once the game is ready there are 10-15 reconnects needed. Im sure everyone says its not our wifi however. We play multiple game apps and never experience this reconnecting with any of them. Before deleting Golf Stars for the 4th time we deleted all our other games and even some of our streaming apps to be sure it wasnt our phone. Immediately after reinstalling and the 200+ downloads. We received our first and several more reconnect messages following after 10 min into the game. Best golf game we’ve ever played, when we played.
This game is horrible for match play. Graphics are good gameplay is smooth. However every time we do a 1 vs 1 it always lets us make first shot but after opponent gets closer to the hole and we can make our second shot it says we have timed out and we lose a stroke. This happens every time shot until our opponent makes it in the hole than it tells us we have disconnected and lost the round this is completely unfair especially when we get within 5 yards from the hole on a par 3.
We were under the impression that the idea of a computer game was for the player to have fun and enjoy themselves. We understand that the creators need to make money off their game. Having said that we are wondering why they created golf star in which the player [me] loses about 90% of the time. Your computers player hardly ever miss a putt and everytime we get birdie they get eagle or when we get eagle they get an albatross. They also award a Halve the Hole to the computer. Now we dont mind losing but we expect to win once in awhile. Even sometimes we win and they dont give us the prize. Now if you creators were in our shoes, would you continue to play? If you guys decide to make it more fair or even, we bet you get more customers.
From our last review: Also, why are half the missions requiring you to play other people? We do not want to engage other people, we want to play golf. Stop forcing us to play with other people to complete missions. No world championships, no match challenges, no event tournaments. We want to be able to do all missions by myself. They didnt listen to us, and now require you to play with other people to advance. We play the tour only and cant get gold coins and only get regular equipment. If we cant advance, we wont play. Also, a game feature that we bought with gold coins earned in game for alts now costs $44.99. Are you kidding us? Thats more than our cell phone bill, our electric bill, or our car insurance bill. You want us to spend that much money for one extra putting guide (which often doesnt help) every nine holes that we have to play against strangers online? Not gonna happen. We are still collecting daily, hoping against hope the game is changed for the better, but we will be downloading other golf games to play.

This game has nice graphics and is very colorful. Its quite realistic adding to the enjoyment. Overall, fun to play.
This game is pretty cool to play. With that being said, dont play people from China as most, not all, but most of them use hacks. Tell us how a player can get multiple hole in ones in one 9 hole competition including two Par 5s. Ridiculous!!!
Why do we not get rewarded for finishing a round anymore? It just started recently.
It has been a fun game but expensive plus we’ve had our money disappear. Now when a commercial comes on all we get is the dots going across the screen. We think Im going to delete it and never get sucked into your game again.
Everything with this game could be great. Unfortunately there are way too many flaws that keep this from being a 5 star game. A perfect shot from the rough with a 5wood should not only fly 80yards. A bunker shot with a perfect lye should not be as difficult as a shot that is deep. Then once you get to more advanced course, idea of having to hit around fallen trees on fairway, or the window of ancient ruins to get on a green is dumb. Unfortunately the flaw of the game become way more frustrating than the little enjoyment of this game.
Im not sure if there are people hacking this game or if its just that bad of a game. However, every time we try to play a person v person match it reads time penalty. Taking too long to shoot. Extra point penalty given as soon as our turn comes up. We took screen recordings to prove that Im not taking too much time and of course the game has no way to email or anything in it. Probably just going to delete. Guess they cant all be winners.
We used to play this game consistently everyday, we took a long break and decided to come back to this game once we got an iPhone again. Every single game we play we lose because we take penalty strokes for timing out despite our connection being perfect. Even when we are connected to Wi-Fi we still get a penalty stroke. We can tee off just fine but every single other shot we take becomes an issue.
We played this game for years, but the cheating has ruined it and the developers dont address it. After playing someone who hit 5 HIO and 2 albi in one game. We stopped playing.
This was one of the best game we ever played until we reach level 30. At this level the game loses all of its competitiveness and fun because you no longer have the line that gives you somewhat of a clue where your ball will go. Now all you have is that stupid circle that tells you nothing because the ball never goes anywhere near itwhat a let down.
Turn game on and we were missing gold. Dont really understand that kinda thing. So definitely delete these people. Actually we enjoyed it up until this happened.
We’re unable to play any match play matches because before we can even set up a shot we get a penalty stroke for a timeout. This has happened on five consecutive matches. This game could be great, but as of right now it is unplayable.
We have tried to log on today and it crashes every time just seconds after completing the loading process – we’re using an iPad 2 to run this and am very frustrated that we cannot get into game anymore.
We’ve been playing for about 2 months now and we’ve never encountered any issues until this past week. When we play any game mode on tee off and on the fairway your able to see the path of where the ball will go before taking your shot but as of recently the balls path has disappeared and we cant see where our shot is aiming and a little white screen appears and goes away quickly on the bottom right corner. We hope this is an issue for many others and not just us. Is this an issue with the game itself or is this something that we can fix myself or will we have to wait for the next update to come out to fix this issue?
Been playing this game for quite some time, but recently the daily rewards for watching ads seems to not work. AFTER you watch the ad, the game freezes and the only option you have is to close the game. You can try again and it might work, might not. Very frustrating. Im not the only one seeing this issue. Might just be us, but with each update, the game gets more glitchy and the ratings go down.
Loooong time player, generally a decent game. The ad watching bonuses are a problem. Many times you watch an only to have the game freeze up AFTER the ad is over. Leave the game, come back and you get nothing. We’ve lost hundreds of stars and countless other treasures to this issue. We doubt its a scam since not being rewarded makes us less likely to watch additional ads. If youre considering this game just be aware, these types of problems are not unusal. They eventually get fixed but it can take a loooong time.
AVOID. FRUSTRATING! Cannot play! Dont know now how they made it worse, but they managed.. 12/17 and today it wont even the constant updates without interruptions. FRUSTRATION 11/29/21 AVOID. Steady dose of downloading – 5 times in a day we had to download 928 mb to play (172 packets) forget playing if youre not on WiFi – even then youll waste 2 minutes or more EVERY TIME before being logged in. An app should be opened and played – PERIOD. So sick of this garbage app Yesterday we logged in 3 times twice it stated over 928 mb was needed to download before launching rinse and repeat, same deal this morning. WHY? Whats the point of continuous downloads, especially the size where WiFi is critical? Gameplay, overall, is good. Inconsistent for identical situations sometimes, but bearable. Enjoy the game, but figure out a better way without all the extra downloads! (And theres no reward for wasting your time for each 3-5 minute download!) UPDATE: 4 logins today, 3 requiring downloads – 2 within 30 minutes of logging out RIDICULOUS (8/6/21) on the verge of deleting this could-be-amazing app because of all the stupid downloading 4 more times today. And its back to being horrible. Forget opening up and playing unless you want to download 928 mb EVERYTIME. 3 times in under 12 hours. Inexcusable.
This game is a rip off. Been very Ill, and havent played. Finally able to play and all our gold stars and money are gone. Clubs gone, everything is gone. People who created this game should be in jail or disbanded from the App Store. Will never download this game its not trustworthy.

Games is annoying .. No fun no competition when players know how to cheats HOLE in ONE every hole and every course. Developers know that and they arent doing anything about it! STAY AWAY dont waste your money and time on this stupid game!

Pretty fun app mostly. Many different ways to play and enjoy the game. Some matches are against the computer and others are live, head-to-head against other players around the world. Problem is the app regularly disconnects from the server in the middle of the match. No biggie when playing against the computer cause the app returns you to the game where you got dumped out. EXCEEDINGLY FRUSTRATING when you are in a head-to-head game because by the time youre logged back in youve lost the hole and, likely, the match! Still, there is a lot of fun with all its game challenges and prizes; enough fun that we play nearly every day. We liken it to a craps table: so many different ways to play and you can partake in one or (if youve got the time) in all of them.
The developers have dropped the ball.. Bad connections now with TONS of losses After years of playing on the same connection they say its us Good luck.
Today it gave us a penalty stroke 3 times in a row for timing out and we didnt have a chance to play at all so thats fun.

Left this game for a while and came back to see the South Koreans continue to ruin it more. It is fun but here are tips. 1. The game will match you up solely against 600 yard players to intentionally make sure you get destroyed. Then the game will rub it in your face with the intent to humiliate you into spending loads of cash to get very good quick. Ignore this classless and desperate ploy of these wanna be video game developers. Take your time and enjoy the rare, occasional match against a comparable player as well as the solo missions. 2. Speaking of money. It is now called game money by Getrich2us. It appears they want to water down actual money earned in your real life career by giving it a different name. Its just game money. Key additions to make a player 1/2 competitive used to be in game but now they are external purchases with game money The disgusting shamelessness of these people has no bounds. 3. And you do need these additions to compete in the end. The entire game is based on cheating. From drive to shot to putt everything is a guide. Skill will get you very little as you play high level competitor after competitor. It makes you wonder if the high level players ever get tired of playing no one but new players? You would think they get bored and want an actual interesting match. Thats all for now. Queue the minimumWon peon with the canned response sorry you are having with the game.
