After Playing Hero Collector Games For Years, Having A New

"After playing hero collector games for years, having a new game that I can play for only like 10 minutes a day is kinda nice. Finally having time to touch grass", Hexen 2 says.

  • I think a daily solo war like what’s in swgoh would be nice to get more resources since gold is hard to come by. It would also give more daily content to do

  • I personally am liking the relaxed collection feel of the game right now. However, I could see that getting old soon. I would like some pvp mechanics in the near future. And if raids started in the next month or so, I’d be happy

    1. Raids by mid August or I will struggle to have interest playing.
  1. I think a Galactic War mode would be cool or maybe have a Tower sort of like Summoner War where each floor has a different enemy set, and every so many floors has a boss that requires different strategies to beat. You could have Two Towers to go through on a rotating schedule and have it vary the bosses and levels. Think it would fit the theme really well and give us something to build and strategize to beat. It gives basic rewards like crystals, energy, gold maybe a unique character or something.

Andrew Fossatti: I’ve seen people complain that at the most end game of MSF there is not actual “playing”. You auto everything and sim raids etc. This game feels like that already. I want to play, but after doing all the necessary farming for gear and shards etc there is no energy left to play. If you prioritize playing over farming you hit a wall where you are forced to farm. I find myself logging on to play something… realizing there is nothing to do then logging off. I would even like a game mode that allowed me to test various teams with no rewards.

Daniel Larison: If they introduce some other events along the way, I don’t mind if the raid comes out a bit later this year. I would like to see something like Galactic War or a tower mode that lets you earn extra rewards with your roster. Faction-specific events would be great, but they need to flesh out more of the factions to make that interesting. A lot of games have an operation or expedition mode that lets you send characters on timed missions to win rewards. Something like that might be useful here.

Voltroc: We need more crystals and soon. They’re such a massive bottle neck.

Emperor Woofles: The only problem I have with the game is Boat guy is not in the game lol but honestly only problem is the gold still it’s hard to keep up 2+ teams level wise because I’m out of hold all the time

Sir Nobody: I’ll start getting uncomfortable waiting for the raid, and start thinking about quitting, once I hit max level and have completed all the campaigns and challenges. Based on my current progress, that point is about 4 weeks away.

The game mode I would most like to see, personally, is a guild based tower defense game mode with players fighting endless waves of enemies, in battle perks that you gain access to based on cumulative guildwide waves cleared and guild leaders can choose which ones to unlock, and rewards based part on meeting benchmark number of waves cleared and part based on a leaderboard of which guilds have cleared the most total waves. But that’s more innovative and risky than I expect CG to be.

The game mode probably should be PvP focused so Grand Arena seems like the obvious choice.

Galactic War is the game mode the game is really missing right now. But if it came out after raids it would probably be too late.

Coleman Thacker: 1. I just log on twice a day and watch discord, so it’s not much of a time crunch. I will play this for a couple months before it gets too old.

  1. I would like them to add more marques that complete teams. Righ now I feel like there are 4 or 5 teams that you can choose from and we need variety of teams to pick from

Spencer Gellner: Honestly, end of July for Raids. For me to be invested in a game I need a community. The only reason I still play Rise to War is because of the guild members I met along the way. Currently, we don’t have content that can be done in a group so if just feels like being in a guild is just pointless. I always liked Guild Battles from SW. Everyone got to participate and you could create narratives about fighting certain guilds.

Todd Graham: The biggest problem is the serious miscalculation of materials. It is way too much to get a single character up. But I can go days and not have the resources I need to do anything. In SWGOH, and even Marvel Strike Force I as free to play still feel like I can move up and enjoy. I feel like in this all I do is the dailies and then wait till tomorrow, maybe next week I can level up 1 character.

Frank Wolf: Current pace is fine, as f2p, I have the ability to go through and 5 star the characters that are available. Raids will be a nice add. With auto wins, the time involved is minimal which works great for my time schedule

Ben N: They need to do raids, some type of alliance battles and a mode that can be solo’d.

jeremy dalton: This game is meant to last a long time. I would recommend just enjoying that you can get everything done quickly. Eventually there will be tons of things to do and everyone will be complaining they have to much to do. If you do leave the game I would recommend not coming back later when there is a lot to do because you will be behind and not be able to participate in guild events.

Khul: Galactic war would be a fun daily, and most could probably get pretty far in it with their current arena team and 1 b team.

James Whitman: I’d love to see a mode where you could freely try out teams against others, perhaps teams set by your guild mates or against specific combinations of heroes that you select (e.g. the meta teams in Arena). No rewards, just trying out different combinations, figure out target priority, etc.

And, like others have said, modes that reward scarce resources. If there was something that gave the same gem payout as arena, it might be more viable for me to broaden my roster. Right now, I can only get gems from arena, so I’m mostly using the same five characters over and over and over…

Blake Howard: I like the character collecting, team building, and strategizing aspect of these games, so I’m having a great time so far haha! I’d love to see Raids, Wars, etc, but I’m happy with them rolling it out whenever they were planning to, I’m patient/not going anywhere 👍

The Pleb: I am really hoping RAIDs come out in July. Honestly think they should have came out before Elrond and then Elrond could have been more advertised as that big RAID character. And afterwards I do think something like galactic war would be nice. Something like rewards you for progressing your roster and gives different rewards based on how far you get.

Congerlive: 1. Raids – I want it in July, but I’ll wait until September.
2. A GAC-like game mode would be the most fun, but there’s not enough characters for most players to have say 8 teams (4 off, 4 def)
Events like credit heist already exist (our adventure rotation is basically this) This type of "extra adventure events" are low quality content IMO, yes it would be nice for more resources, but wouldn’t make me enjoy the game any more.
Galactic War style would be enjoyable now while there is little to do, but I remember that after about a month of GW, I couldn’t wait to unlock the sim option in SWGoH.
Territory Battles or Guild Wars would be the most fun and engaging other than a GAC option.
