Are there any plans for island expansion or dogfights?

Fun and easy to use. And as a licensed pilot, the flight physics feel quite good. Fun little world to explore including aerial runways. Thermals over lava flow. Tunnels. Arches. Aircraft carrier and more! Love it!

Good physics good flight and good planes.

This sim is different but awesome. It has a wide variety of airplanes that you can fly. Excited to see whats in stores. 5 stars well deserved, keep up the great work!

We’ve had this game installed for year. It is so much fun! How come it has not been update with more planes, missions and locations? We would totally pay for an upgrade!

Used to play this when we were 5 or 6 maybe.

Good flying game. Airspeeds are fairly accurate. A little tough to control on the ground, rudder controls would help with that Also a helicopter or two would be nice. Overall a low stress flight sim. Good job. PS the Bombardier 415 should be able to land in the water and then you drop the gear and taxi up onto the land. That might be to big of a fix but we thought you guys might like to know.

We think the game should have multiplayer and online gameplay. Other than that this is a very great game.

We’ve had pocket wings for a long time; years. Every now and then we like to buy a new plane and enjoy testing the capabilities of each one. We have found this to be a surprisingly accurate flight model which makes real-life maneuvers like stalls, slow flight, and landing pattern work possible and even enjoyable. That said, we have found some issues that I’d like to address. With the last update the DC-3 became nearly impossible to fly. It yaws drastically to the right at all power settings. Something else we’ve noticed is that many of the jet aircraft bounce like crazy upon landing. We know, it could just be us screwing up the flare but it seems like we can never get a decent landing with a few of the payware aircraft. On a few of the high performance aircraft the airpseed indicator numbers are mislabeled (300kts where 200kts should be). Honestly not a huge deal. One suggestion we have, if you were ever to add anything else to this awesome app would be to add an altimeter. Being able to do approaches to the carrier and other airfields would be so much easier or more consistent if there would be a way to see our altitude. Overall a really awesome little sim that we’ve spent way too much time on. We don’t know if there’s any plans for an update but just know you’ve still got a loyal user here. Thanks!

Other than an ai spawner icon, it’s a great game.

Please include things to discover on Discovery Island. And can we get some shooter action on those fighter planes and some aerial targets please? Maybe some Chinese spy balloons?

This game is overall very good but we think you guys need to add an altimeter on the GUI. It’s on of the primary flight instruments.

This update was fantastic! The physics are a little different but we got used to it. We would like to see more points of view on aircrafts. We liked the old version when we could zoom further away from the plane.

A fun, stripped down flight simulator.

It’s nice to see the developers update this again after two years. We hope they continue to enhance it. The new version feels smoother, and the graphics are more detailed. We love the cockpit view on the Hellcat, and wish they would add that to other planes too. The new planes are a lot of fun. The MiG 15 should satisfy all the people who asked for a jet, and our son says the Berkut is pretty cool. Our only complaint is that the Bombardier 415 is a seaplane and should be able to land on water, but it can’t in the game.

We have all the flying simulators and this one is still the best and nothing else is close. We agree with the other reviewers that the physics are a bit different, and this makes flying the old planes not as much fun for us. We are hoping when we upgrade our iPad the physics will be better. We purchased all the new planes. It takes awhile to see the nuances and to appreciate the nuances of different planes on PocketWings–I haven’t seen it yet in any except the two jets, which are a lot of fun. There are some differences in the island, and we hope weird things continue to happen, and that we continue to see weird things on PocketWings. We are not going to name what is probably the most popular simulator at the Apple Store. But we definitely have it and and the new version of PocketWings still definitely beats it by a mile, even if we definitely prefer pre-update. We didn’t buy all those planes because we wanted them, but to support the developer, because we have gotten way more than our money’s worth from PocketWings.

The tilt controls aren’t very much fun to play with, the plane doesn’t perform very realistically, but the worst part is the constant crashing. Every time you try to switch planes, it crashes. Other reviews mention better games to look at, we would suggest people do exactly that…

This game is fantastic. Please please please expand!

The game has a lot of potential and we like a lot but it does seem like the creator has abandoned the game but if this review is read PLEASE UPDATE!!!!

Loving PocketWings! It’s fun flying around the island; and challenging, too, to get through the hoops, etc. Has simple controls and nice graphics. Using on iPad Air 2; would probably be easier to control on our iPad Mini or iPod Touch. Highly recommend PocketWings!

We needed a fun flight simulator and we got one it’s a great game buy it now you won’t be sorry.

If the joy of flying has gotten lost between lift-and-weight, thrust-and-drag, give this neat little arcade flyer a try. You get to fly under bridges, buzz buzz buildings and do other things the FAA would frown on anywhere but on this island. There are 6 great aircraft, from open-cockpit to multiple engine. The controls are simple, flight is easy and getting out of "oops" situations is just a matter of pressing the rewind button. The developer has made a happy little world where fun is the whole point.

Awesome game, just needs some popups to explain what to do when the game starts.

We never write reviews but this game is a blast. Simple and yet never gets boring. One of the easiest games to fly around in! Hint: if you fly under the bridge that you see at the beginning your plane changes colors.

Please add more space maybe even more modern day planes and maybe even make fighter jets were u can eject out and the plane will land it self and u can walk around and get back in the plane anytime you want.

Ok add more planes pleas Like world war2 planes besides the hell cat.

This game is great. It’s like a virtual playground for planes. Lot of potential for more stuff. Would like to see an altimeter so you can see how high you are off the ground. That would come in handy to judge when it’s safe to do stunts in some of the larger planes and for smooth landings. Would also like to see some jet-powered planes and a little more options on maneuvering when down so you don’t have to completely reset. Maybe just a flip 180 to "right" an upside down plane or go to the pause menu where you can free-drag the plane to a better position in 3d space.

If you land on the top of the ski jump ramp and coast down it, when you lift off, fly up high and then dive straight down into the small body of water that looks like a kidney bean. If you bit it just right, you can fly around "under water" and look up to see stuff from below. Climb back out and you’re back above ground again.

It’s and amazing game and has a lot of potential but you need to update it and add more planes and also we think that there could be a plane costomization place that would be cool and maybe a menu that has different spawn places like spawning on the ramp because landing on it is a pain lol please update soon!!!!

This could be the best plane simulator game if you could use screen buttons to pilot the planes.

We have quite a few flight sims, but this is what we play all the time. When are you guys adding more planes? And maybe extend the island. We will pay a lot more than the original price.

This game is addicting to play. Even after you explore everything, it’s still a lot of fun! It is worth the money no doubt!

This app is so cool so far we saw a UFO lava and birds and when you go through the bridge at the beginning every plane changes color and it’s design we did it with every plane it was a little hard though it took us acouple try’s to do it with the big ones – ). / ( /–(——–I – ——that our air plane we’re bad – ). ( at tipe drawing.

Great game. Needs a helicopter.

Please add some more planes specifically a jet.

Please add more planes, it gets boring after a while!!!

We absolutely love this game and would recommend it to anyone. Our only concern is that the game should be game center enabled and can be played with friends. Well worth the money we spent on it.

It’s fun but looking forward to the forthcoming updates! We sure hope there are big plans ahead!

Great app! 1. Start the sim 2. Turn ninety degrees right 3. Get over the river and follow it (inland!) 4. Go under the bridge you will soon see. 5. Enjoy your new plane!

This flight sim is the Best!!! It can only get better, we played all the Hellcats games over and over, we still play it on an old MAC laptop we have!!! Well worth the price. Try to find the hidden UFO! Please add plane to plane combat like the Great Hellcats had. Thanks, A Hellcats Fan.

For the price we payed, we think this game is awesome. However we were wondering if you could add more aircraft such as some jets or even some helicopters. Just a thought. But can you put in some realistic damage?

GREAT to see Eric Parker on iPad AND get all the mentions & recognition he deserves here. To see him mentioned in the same sentance as the Nintendo64’s "PilotWings64" is neato cool, too! Lol Yes, this is indeed done by the man who bought us "Hellcats Over The Pacific" for System 6 Macintosh & the wonderful "A-10 Attack!" for PowerMacintosh — 2 MASTERWORKS of the flatshade polygon aesthetic. His work has a certain style & butter smooth fluidity about it & that’s all here in "Pocket Wings: Discovery Island". Get this & enjoy the fine attention to detail his flight simulators bring. And Eric, if you’re seeing this, just one small request …. PLEASE BRING BOTH "Hellcats Over The Pacific" & "A-10 Attack!" — in thier original form — TO iPAD!! Lol.

We love flight sim games and have been collecting them for a while. We love this game for one reason and one reason only: a TWA plane!!! We’ve always wanted a plane with TWA livery because TWA was our first ever plane and when it ceased operation a few years later we were heart broken because it had such a special meaning to us and the town we live in. So thank you.
