We got into DOOM through DOOM Eternal and got 2016 a while back, like a week ago we decided to get this because it didnt require wifi and we were a bit worried if we didnt like it because its different from the modern DOOM games but we love this and we plan on getting DOOM II.
This is such a great game like the graphics oh man they are so old and it has to be the best 90s game ever this is like 1000 stars.
Controls are great, music is great, killing demons with a shotgun is great. Simple as.
After we beat e3m8 we saw the end credits it was amazing 3d scenes of doom guy vs the demons like imps and pinky demons amazing 5 star.
Ive Played Doom, Doom II,Doom 64,Doom 3,and doom eternal and their all GOOD,we JUST LOVE DOOM ITS THE GODFATHER OF ALL FPS GAMES ITS THE REASON WHY WE HAVE HALO ALSO MY 2ND FAVE. FPS FRANCHISE,we ALSO LOVE THE BRUTALITY ITS SO NOSTALGIC ITS THE REASON WHY we LIKE SHOOTING GAMES.
Honestly despite the terrible controls, its still doom and its still fun if the only gaming device you have is a phone. If you have anything else we would not recommend this though.
Would like even basic custom mapping and ability to make the buttons bigger. Otherwise no issues.
We played Doom on the PC back in the day and enjoyed every second spent in it. We recently dld Doom Eternal on our PC and tried to play it..there was No manual and any search for one was met with negative results. We finally deleted the game. We loaded Doom for iPhone and started playing it. For a PC game ported to iPhone, it works very well and it was familiar. For the price, we highly recommend it.
We like your port, but it would be really cool if Quake is available on mobile devices.

This is a really great port of doom , we see a lot of reviews saying the controls are off , we think the controls are fine as long as you turn always run on.
We need new add ons! Its been over 3 years and nothing new is been done with Doom 1 or 2. And its getting a little stale now. Also for those complaining about touch controls. Just connect a Bluetooth controller and play. Im using an old Xbox 360 controller. And its a game changer.
Pretty cool. Lot of people really harping on the controls; definitely isnt the cleanest, but its really not all that bad once you get used to it, especially since its literally Doom on an iPhone. Pretty darn cool.
The original game with cheats you can use. You can also download fan made add ons. Controls are really good, best controls for a mobile port we ever seen.
Pls allow us to adjust the controls, and our dream is playing doom 1 & 2 in real FULL SCREEN on iPhone.

There are a lot of negative comments but we mostly see its about the controls. Which if youre playing only touchscreen Ill admit is a challenge. If you have a control for your phone this is an absolute hit!! If you loved Doom growing up as a kid and you need something fun to take you back once and awhile, youre going to love this! Just use a game control lol.
Ive enjoyed it so far, the quality of life improvements are wild, on top of the addons, Id say this is a near perfect port.
This game is extremely powerful. Its levels are intuitive as 1993 can get, and the enemies and guns are the same. Its gameplay is addictive and the story keeps us coming back. 4.99 is a small price to pay for an experience as good as this! Highly recommended.
People complain about controls or the bad remaster or fps limit and we just have to say why? Do you really need 60 fps in DOOM? This isnt pc or console, this is mobile, thats for battery saving anyways! The controls are good and same with the remaster, we mean people even speedrun this version soo. Oh and you can use add-one like with the pc, xbox, and playstation port :D.

Great classic game! Im hoping they can bring the Wolfenstein 3-D game on the iPhone soon hopefully would be nice.
Honestly, this is one of the best ports in a while. We dont know why people are complaining about the controls, seems fine to us. The game is just as is remember it, its fast paced and bloody. The settings is great, its good and what we expect. We would recommend this port for on the go people. This works on airplane mode to. Worth our 5 dollars.
Please fix this we paid for this we can only play with a controller fix the controllers system back to the original layout.

This game is super fun. This was revolutionary for its time and is still more fun than most first person shooters today. This game is a blast to play.

Turns out the game does support controls, we must have done something wrong. Anyway, now we can play Doom and blow off steam.
Just grab a bluetooth controller and you're good to go. Do not bother with touchscreen thingy.
Good version of mobile Doom. All the Final/Ultimate levels plus Sigil and a bunch of others too. We didnt mess with the touch controls but everything else seems great.
Please add deathmatch so we can frag on the toilet.
It is so fun they fixed the controls its so fun to play if you dont have it get it and doom 2.
Deserves better than the rating it's getting. We play it on ipad using a mfi controller and it works great.
Its not about the controls its about the gameplay its really good we love it its just like the original you should try making doom enternal its really good.
Hard to go wrong with this classic game. The FPS that made FPS a mainstream genre. Loaded with classic MIDI music, Health and ammo pickups, 2D enemies in a 3D world and all the glories of 90s FPS games. Pixelated gore, MIDI Hard Rock, and spring door elevator traps sure to get you excited about shooting demons. This port runs faithfully at high FPS and has all the cheats and level select you could hope for in a re release. It even has an add on feature online for the true classic DOOM experience. It also has the an original style dynamic 2D map. And, yes, it has well designed gamepad support. The only thing we can request to make it a better experience is allow customizing the touch buttons for different size phones and hands and have separate sensitivity for gamepad and touch. Its all here. Find out where first person shooters first hit the mainstream or get your DOOM fix. Its hard to go wrong here.
We love this port a lot. Runs great on all of our devices, even our iPod! Greatly recommended.
Im wondering if Bethesda (if Im spelling companys name wrong please correct us) Im wondering if they could add doom or maybe even doom eternal these games could cost 4 dollars 5 dollars 6 dollars whatever price that seems fine thank you.
We have a Backbone One controller and it makes a huge gameplay difference! Very fun game! Its not the same without a Bluetooth or connected controller on your phone.
Excellent port, controls are tricky; big jumps and platforming are almost impossible. Our biggest complaint is that you cant select the fist if you have the chainsaw, so you cant berserk-punch baddies. It should come-up with a second tap of the chainsaw icon.

We had our reservations, but this works great with a controller, and runs great on our iPad and iPhone. We're really happy and have also bought the other game, DOOM II immediately after a quick test run of this one. It also runs smooth as ice. It sometimes randomly crashes if other audio plays in the background, or if the app is left open too long. However, the save feature is super accessible and fast to compensate. Overall, an amazing port.
We absolutely love how both doom and doom 2 were ported onto mobile but we honestly wish there was a way to the other doom games like doom 64, doom 3, doom 2016(if possible), and doom eternal(probably not possible) but at least doom 64. And also we wish we could mod doom and doom 2 please Bethesda help us out here.
This game is so fun playing on our phone. Just beat the game. Now we want to play more classic games from yall. Please make a mobile version of Wolfenstein 3D it would be extremely fun.
We dont know what people are complaining about im having a blast on our phone, well worth the $5 with just touch controls. Ialso appreciate the fact that we cam turn off music and play spotify in the background.
