Good as it gets! Pretty much the best shmup ever made controls fantastic on a phone making it the ideal version (imo).
Probably the best shmup out there, especially for IOS.
This is an purely awesome danmaku shmup. Cave, continuing after losing all lives should not require credits or tokens. That insert coin feature in modern shmup games is completely outdated. The game should allow unlimited continues like any modern smartphone shmup. Not requiring insert tokens to continue playing.
These games are wonderful but need controller support.they are way too easy otherwise. Pinpoint accuracy touch control is not how this was meant to be played.
Just saying thank you for updating this. We do hope you guys have plans to update ESPGaluda II and all of your Bug Princess games… Especially Mushihimesama Bug Panic (absolutely the BEST dual-stick game available for the iOS…. We miss it so much….) and BP2BL (the best of the best when it comes to Mushihimesama). Deathsmiles and DDPR could both use some bug fixing, but other than that…. It's nice to at least have a few of these back after so long without them. So:::: thank you, Cave.
As an avid fan of this series and someone whos been playing it since the very first game we overall just love it so much! However with this mobile version we have ran into an issue where the bomb button completely ceases to work. This recently happened during our fight with hibachi. And as you can imagine our game ended pretty fast. It gas happened multiple times now It really needs to be patched. Im using an iPhone 8 Plus and Im really surprised to see a bug like this exists. At first we thought we were hallucinating until we completely removed our fingers from everywhere else on the game screen and started jamming down on the bomb button over and over to see nothing coming out. Other than that the game is amazing.
Needs a better resizing method/filter but otherwise a great update. Glad to see CAVE updating their older iOS releases! Fingers crossed to see Espgaluda II and Bug Princess 2 also updated.
Is this resolution worth the price? At the same time, no update for half a year! Does not fit the full screen.
We own your games on every platform all the way back to Xbox 360. We would buy them all over again. Just please dont go the micro transactions route or offer an option to buy for one price. To us all your games are easily worth $60 each. Please let us know how we can support you.

We love these Cave shooters. We have a handful of them for the PS2 that we imported back in the day. It is just so nice to have it on your phone so you can practice at work. The controls are much easier for IOS and they have various difficult levels for newcomers to the genre. Would love Ibara.
We were so surprised to see DDP:Blissful Death in our updates! Not only that: DDP Maximum now works on our device(ipod 6th gen!) we were so giddy with excitement, we went ahead and bought Deathsmiles now that its only $7. Thanks so much CAVE. We wish your games from xbox 360 worked on xbox one, but this is almost as cool. Just waiting for Bug Princess 1&2 and Espagulda(?) 2 next.
CAVE makes the absolute best shoot-em up games, and this one is no exception. For the last few years these masterpieces were unplayable on modern iOS devices, but in a surprise, they added 64-bit compatibility recently. Do yourself a favor and pick up all of the CAVE shooters available – you wont be disappointed! And, CAVE, PLEEEEAAASE update Espgaluda 1 & 2 as well.
Cave makes some of the best shmups, give the people what they want.

We need this patched for 11 we havent even made it past the 3rd level.
Being able to play DoDonPachi on the go is so awesome! The game is great for beginners to experts in shooters. It can be tough at times, but is worth it when you beat the game. Graphics are arcade perfect, controls are great but we recommend you have a matte style screen protector so that your fingers can glide with ease. Supurb job Cave! Keep them coming.
A sanctuary for all those looking for a classic and a challenge. Worth the money spent from both quick and intense plays. For all those looking for a game that takes centuries to beat or hours of grinding. This title isn't about any of that. It's about fast action and quick reflexes. So unless you are prepared for it to be quick intense and short it's not what you are looking for. However if you are looking for a challenge all of these titles from cave are superb.
We love these games and we want to play them again!! Please UPDATE THEM.
Make an UPDATE for the NEW IOS.
This is our fav shooter out of Resurrection, Maximum, Death Smiles, and Espgaluda 2. It has the best balance of not being too hard or easy and the bullets really come flying fast. Much faster than any of the shooters we own. It makes for a very fast paced and fluid game very much an arcade game at its heart. Resurrection is more of an iOS shooter being made for the iPhone. Maximum is too hard. Espgaluda goes between really easy and really hard and the bullets move slow. Death Smiles is too weird. If we could only own 1 shooter Blissful Death would be it for us.
We just tested the update. Seems to fix bugs caused by 4" screens. Back to 5 stars for the best STG ever made. They should have put all of the extra space below the game, not half and half. It's funny that the biggest company responsible for innovating shooters didn't do that, and doujin games like Danmaku Unlimited 2 has it right.

We've spent countless hours playing this amazing classic on our 4S. Worth every penny.
Amazing game. Very challenging. We play this almost everyday and it is still very addictive ever since.
At first we were annoyed by the IAP content in the update, but those players who decide to buy the add-ons have there own separate "customize play" leader board. We know IAP are annoying but you don't have to buy them, and the original game is the same. Besides all this boils down to is Cave being able to make some extra cash off those who want it be easier, which we have no problem with.
Not only is the game itself superb, but the environments suggest a feel of desolation, thus showing the horrors of this war. Albeit, the game takes place on the moon, but our point still stands. Also, glad there are separate leaderboards for people using bribes. Er, we mean customizations.
At least they got that part right unlike deathsmiles.we can tolerate the increase fire power,the extra lives is a little cheap and we don't mean the price..but the smaller hit box and 2nd loop unlock…WHAT THE LIVING F$&@! That kills something called SKILL!..the 2 bee locators are pointless since people have them all mapped out,just google it. The extend combo meter just made people buy their highscores in a way so if anyone wants to compete on the custom leaderboard they are going to at least dish out another $1.99.
This is an awesome game but since it supports IPad shouldn't this be a universal app!? And this game is well worth the price.

Another schmup gem from developer, CAVE! Controls are super tight, gameplay is frenetic and fun, overall amazing experience. Similar style game to ESPgaluda but slight tweaks to gameplay refinement and great new level design with killer boss battles.
We don't know why we even bother having other games installed on our phone anymore. Cave games are brilliant. Check the "More from this developer" section and let the wallet draining commence.
Even if the graphics and setting is not as crazy as DDP: resurrection, this game is a total joy to play. Music is top notch, as always. Another must have, Cave never disappoints, best catalogue of games in the Appstore by a long stretch.
We love this game we're always playing trying to beat our previous score we BUT it requires a front facing camera and why? We've downloaded this on our iPad and 4th gen iPod But we cans download it on our 3rd gen iPod fro this stupid reason please remove the camre requirement.
Have it installed on iphone4 but want to play it on ipad1. Love DDP. Get it done Cave.

The port is as awesome as all the other ones. But what makes us really happy is the ability to finally emulate the slowdown of the pcb. Thank you from the bottom of our heart.

We already have the J-360 port and this is a great addition. We have iPhone 4 playing it on medium size screen and it does crash once in a while though…we hope they possibly fix it.
If it crashes, play on the smallest screen setting. It makes it harder but still. Great game.
Another great Cave title, this one older than previous iOS releases. Be warned, Blissful Death is harder than what you might be used to, even on Novice mode! @Tom Mayflower: There are no shady business practices here, this is the full release; there won't be a Smartphone mode. The split releases of other titles are for people who only want one mode to get it cheaper, not to trick people into spending more for two modes.
All we have to say is this game is a lot of fun. It works great on our iPhone 4S. It is so worth the money.
Hell yes , one of the best arcade shooters in the palm of our hand :) we just love the animation on these Japanese shumps, the detail is amazing . So worth 5 bucks – lots of depth and challenge , we're still waiting on bug princess to go on sale lol . As a 'old' school gamer we really appreciate these awesome ports at these prices . This would cost big bucks to import . Thanks CAVE.
We feel like the controls could be a bit more responsive- not sure.
Usually we get excited about iOS games made by Cave just for the simple fact that we love this company. So when a new game is released we do not hesitate and we purchase the game immediately, and for the most part we're satisfied. This is exactly what we did with this game, we knew what we were in for, but it also threw us off guard. We love this game, from the customizable options (you can even change the speed of the game for crying out loud) to the stripped down arcade roots of the game. We love it, and we'll be quite honest, we're not a huge fan of the smartphone modes of past games but we also appreciate the fact that they are there, but this game does not need them. Everything about this game is the reason why we play this type of genre, we can't get enough of it. 6 out of 5 stars.
